We did takeout and found both the entrees to be disappointing (ma la chicken, scallops and steak). The sauce was congealing in both dishes, the vegetables were completely limp and overcooked. I have no idea why this place only has three stars. It should definitely be higher rated. We've only tried it starting last week when we found it on Grubhub, and already we've been here trying different things three times, and they've almost all been great. Today we had the 8 Treasure Duck and Seafood Pan Fried Noodle, with some Crab Rangoons. Man, everything was so amazing. Especially the duck in the 8 treasure duck. Everything is flavorful, and comes hot from delivery. And the dishes are piled with meat. They don't do you in by stacking in mounds of vegetables with only a few pieces of meat, there's lots of meat in the dishes. The meat to vegetable ration is like 50/50. The only dish that had more veggies than meat in all three of our visits was the Teriyaki Shrimp. It's not like there wasn't a decent amount of shrimp, but there were just way too many onions. It still tasted fantastic, but it was like two whole onions or something in the box. But, other than that, everything is meaty and fantastic. I highly recommend the 8 Treasure Duck and Seafood Noodle. But, just as good is the Shrimp Egg Foo Young. My entire life, I have never liked Egg Foo Young, but I tried some from our order and it's actually so good, it made me like it. The gravy it comes with is ridiculously good, but the Egg Foo Young is great without it. But, I also have to give special praise for the Crab Rangoons. They're the best I've ever had. The cream and crab in there, it's better than any I've had from any Asian restaurant anywhere. The best filling. And they even give you great service, because our Grubhub driver forgot our Rangoons on our last order, and on the next order (this one) they gave us an extra order of Crab Rangoons on the house. This place is easily one of the best Asian cuisine restaurants I have ever been to. Of everything, the only thing I would say was lacking is the crispy egg rolls. (Too small). That's literally it. Everything else has been 5 stars good. I don't understand the 3 stars here. It should be 5. 4.5 at the least. We were greeted very pleasantly by the host and our server! Smiles and warm greetings. It is located upstairs (elevators available). They have a cute wishing coin toss at the front. Our server took our drink order immediately. They give you crispy won tons and sweet and sour sauce and one other sauce. My fiancé said it tastes like honey mustard--i didn't try it, i don't like honey mustard. Our order was taken promptly. We got egg drop soup and hot and sour--both were delicious. Our main dishes were chicken mimosa (orange chicken), and house lo mein. They were extremely savory and flavorful. The chicken mimosa had just the right sweetness to spicy ratio. Everything was fresh and FAST. The plates weren't hot at all, but the food was so fresh and hot so you know they just prepared everything. My fiancé was very reluctant to come, as he does not prefer Chinese food. He gave it a 5/5, and said its the best Chinese he has ever tasted. Everything about our experience was superb. I have been to this place for lunch and dinner. Don't get me wrong, this isn't authentic Chinese food. However, for the Americanized Chinese food we all know and love it doesn't get much better. There is nothing worse than going to a Chinese restaurant and being disappointed. That will not happen here. I have had 3 or 4 of the chicken entrees and all of them were great! At lunch, you get a cup of soup and spring roll included with your meal. Wash it down with an ice cold Tsingtao and you can't go wrong. The service here is pretty decent. Oh man. I finally found good Chinese food in Dallas. If Jasmine wasn't 20 minutes away from me, I'd probably eat here at least once a week. I started with egg drop soup - tasty, but it's definitely a little thicker than it should be. As entrees, we had chicken with string beans, mongolian beef, and sesame chicken. The chicken with string beans was perfect - white meat chicken, crunchy string beans, and a delicious sauce. If no one was around, I would have licked the sauce off the plate. The mongolian beef was soooo good. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth good, and the onions and bell peppers were crispy and salty on the outside, and soft and sweet on the inside - yum! I highly recommend Jasmine to anyone in the area looking to satisfy their Chinese food craving. read more

The only thing I really disliked about this place (and I've eaten her at least 20-30 times) is that they seem to enjoy racially and wardrobe-wise spreading things out. If we showed-up too casually dressed, I knew we were going to the back. If nobody in our party was "attractive," to the back we'd go. I dunno, just an aside. Not a deal breaker to me, since obviously I went back a few times. Just saying. The food is quite good, albeit Americanized, but as I said in my May Dragon review, it's hard to get good Chinese food in Dallas. This place has a special spot in my heart... I have been eating here with my family for going on 20 years now. We used to eat here so much that I demanded it as one of my sick-meals following a minor surgery. About 10 years ago the food hit a really bad slump and we stopped going except on rare occasions. I must admit that I kept it as my secret Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve spot, as well as celebrated a couple of birthdays there. The dine-in experience is fantastic and I truly believe the food is far superior than when they deliver for whatever reason, however we did have this delivered for Christmas Day dinner 2016 and it was 4 star good. Definitely the best Chinese delivery in Dallas, but that bar is pretty low here sadly. Anyway I don't want to discourage anyone from eating here: sesame chicken and sesame shrimp with birds nest are my 2 staples. I would recommend dining in first to see how the delivery compares. Then I got the walnut shrimp -- which normally it come in a creamy mayo sauce -- this came in a bowl with spicy chili sauce, bell peppers, onions and I'm not sure what else. The delivery was fast! I ordered cashew shrimp with hot and sour soup. The cashew shrimp was a very large portion and had a ton of shrimp and cashews. Definelty enough for two people, maybe three! The fried rice that came with the meal was ok, but had no egg or veggies. Weird. Should have sprung for the brown rice. Since the delivery minimum is $15, I also got an egg roll. Their egg rolls are what I look for in a good egg roll. I could just order the $15 Minimum delivery in egg rolls alone and be happy. I'm a General Tso's fan, and they do a pretty good job. There curry chicken was exceptional as well, but not traditional curry chicken.. The only thing I personally think they could do better is the Mushroom Chicken. The Shrooms were chewy. This was the absolute worst Chinese "food" I've ever eaten. It was just disgusting. My fried rice was literally rice that as fried. No vegetables (is I'd requested), or egg, which the host said was in there whenever I called to complain about my order. I also ordered the eggplant in garlic sauce. The eggplant was just soft, mushy, huge cuts of eggplant in what tasted like an almost sweet and sour sauce. Not garlic-y, or even close to what I expected. The egg rolls were...they were just no. My office ordered for delivery. We received our order fairly quick. The delivery guy was nice and had correct change. Let's start with the best thing: the Egg roll was super crunchy and fresh. I loved it. The Hot and Sour soup tasted like a terrible broth. I am not Chinese but anytime I have ever ordered Hot and Sour Soup it has been a thicker, spicier soup. This one was very bland. The fried rice wasn't bad. Very basic and plenty of saltiness for all. The Chicken Mimosa is made with really terrible pieces of chicken and lacked flavor as well. There was plenty of sauce served, which most people like. I was overall pretty disappointed with the flavor as my coworkers have raved about this place. I get a call my food is downstairs, so I run downstairs bypassing the elevator. Only to be disappointed once I start chowing down on old chicken. My chicken was super hard to cut and chew and drenched in sauce. I love when my chicken is drenched in sauce, but not to cover up old chicken. I have eaten here several times and thought it was pretty good so I was perplexed by the bad reviews until I realized that most of them are from botched delivery orders. Stay away from delivery, Got it! So far I have eaten there 4 times and each time I enjoyed it. My favorite dish so far has been the Sizzling Beef! It was so good that I ate the chunks of zucchini and I really don't like zucchini at all. Service is OK except for one lunch when they didn't bring out some of our dishes until we asked about them and they "ran out" of fried noodles which is absurd since it's a restaurant with a kitchen. Jasmine used to be the gold standard for chinese in Addison. I got a delivery today and it is ghastly. the rice is not hot white steamed rice but rather some form of fried with just soy sauce on it. dry and tastes old. The wonton soup had some yellow base color and tasted like wonton Crisco. the sesame chicken was so tough i nearly broke a tooth on it. The mongolian beef had no flavor whatsoever. this was a lunch order. Update: called the restaurant and the gave me a credit for the food and sent out a fresh batch of something else which is perfect. the food is as expected and is delicious. This place is a JOKE. We printed the 20% coupon off the website. They tried to say that we needed the original Copy. I asked where is the original and how would i get one? This was posted on the website. Then He said we needed 6 people to take advantage when the coupon on the site clearly said up to 6 people not minimum of 6. The website shows lunch specials and does not say delivery price only. The indoor lunch special is 2.00 more than the "delivery one". For 2 people and 2 drinks the bill was close to $34 dollars. Jasmine consistently and aggressively invades the privacy of customers (*hopeful future customers) with NONSTOP promotional materials, which are all forcefully rammed into my steel door frame and even forced under my door INTO my residence at a LOCKED and gated apartment complex. They do this on a weekly basis to every single apartment creating a massive amount of nuisance debris and garbage throughout the entire apartment complex. Never again. Only ordered from this place because they advertised for a free appetizer. When I called in my carryout order the lady insisted on having my address (I was at a local hotel). The hotel address was irrelevant to carry out an order. Then she argued with me about the address and then stating that the free appetizer coupon was only for dine in and wanted me to go thru the hassle of texting it to her. IT IS ON THEIR WEBSITE...at this point of having to argue with her I told her forget the order and she convinced me to give them a chance. I picked up my food and came to hotel and order was wrong. Not all the food I ordered was in the bag. Despite me not living in the area their way of making amends was not to bring me the missing food or credit my card, but to give me 2 orders of crab Rangoon next time.
