This place is super new, I liked it at first and thought I found my new nail place. It's nice inside, definitely clean, but I've had a couple of run ins with the employees. I once scheduled an appointment for 9:30, not realizing that's when they open, and I had to wait for the employees to actually show up because no one was there. thankfully they were only 5 minutes late and I wasn't in a rush, still it was a little annoying. The nail techs also try to upsell you like mad and almost insist you get acrylics, even if you've already told them you're not interested and only want gel. Another time I went for a gel mani - Sina the nail tech was super nice at first she smiled at me and said "hi honey how are you?" and I responded with "good, how are you?" and was met with silence almost the entire rest of my visit. She looked up at me maybe once the entire time she was doing my nails, didn't talk to me at all except to order me to wash my hands (and she didn't give me the scrubby soap they usually do, so I just used their regular hand soap but I thought that was weird because every other time I've gotten a mani there they did). She made me feel like I'd done something to upset her. She caked on the gel with like 5? 6? layers and they looked like acrylics almost, not the look I was really going for but I wasn't going to complain. (Also took my next nail tech forever to get the gel off). This mani took over an hour when a gel mani there usually takes around 30 mins.. at least, thats what I've noticed from my experiences there. At the end of it she put some lotion on my hands (no massage) and then went "okay honey all set!" with a big smile and the warmth back in her voice.. like LOL okay you totally didn't just make me feel super unwelcome and like I was causing you a disservice by getting my nails done?? I tipped her 20% but I shouldn't have.. lol. I haven't been back since, which kinda sucks because the other employees are really nice. read more
