On Sept 6, 2023 I took my jewelry in to be inspected as well as get new posts put on my earrings so I could have the screw on backs. The gal let me know my diamond was loose and a diamond was chipped on my ring so stated I needed to send it in to be fixed. I asked her to remove my ex from my account since we are no longer together. She stated she would handle it all. On the 13th I went to the store to pick up my items and nobody could find them. Someone asked me who helped me the last time I was in and I pointed to the gal and she came over and told everyone that yes she remembered me and that she switched all my items into my account only and took the ex off the account. After them looking more a manager told me my stuff was picked up two days prior. I said by who and they said my ex name. I said how would he know to pick up my items and he stated the gal made a mistake and submitted the fix it ticket prior to removing him from the account so he got the email that my items were done and ready for pick up. I asked them what they were going to do in regards to the situation and they stated nothing because he was on the ticket. They failed to do their job correctly and gave my jewelry that my children gave me as gifts to my abusive ex and they would not even reimburse me my money that I paid on getting new posts on my earrings. Absolutely horrible customer service. They messed up and now I'm paying for it. My son was in tears because I don't have my earrings and ring that he picked out for me. read more

Called to ask if they could test my diamond, they said "yes". Showed up, store was empty and the sales person said, "We can't do that due to Covid." I don't really understand. Does that mean customers can't touch jewelry they are going to buy or try on rings? If there is a fee, say so. I recently stopped to shop for a yet to be revealed large purchase. It was about 7:30 on a Friday night and the building seemed closed - but it was open until 9. When I entered I was greeted by an employee who was very helpful. As I continued to shop I received input from the rep, another employee, one of the jewelers, and even a fellow customer. They were all very helpful, showed me many options, calculated the financial breakdown. I ordered my product and received it a few days later. I went to this Jared location (Sat Feb 5th) looking for my fiance's wedding ring. I knew exactly what I wanted... the Prime line of Scott Kay's newest Cobalt men's wedding rings. Unfortunately, none of the associates working knew what I was talking about. The conversation quickly went downhill as I tried to explain over and over the SK Cobalt line was fairly new, how I recently saw it at the Phoenix Bridal Expo and that it was featured separately from the main SK website. Imagine my frustration as I was told the following - "Well cobalt is blue" "Cobalt? When I hear that it makes me think of radioactive material" "Well we don't have anything in cobalt but I'd be happy to sell you one of our rings instead" More was said but those were the highlights. The associates said they would call and ask headquarters about the ring. They took down my contact information and promised to call me back by Tues (Feb 9). But, it's now Feb 17 and guess what... NO CALL BACK. I had a feeling not to wait around so the very next day (Feb 7) I went to the other Jared store located off of the I-10 and Ray Rd. I was able to order my fiance's ring - no problem. l also learned that the Ray Rd location is the only Jared's in AZ to carry the SK Cobalt line. If only the Val Vista location handled my situation better - I wouldn't have even bothered with this review but the experience (it was my first experience with Jared by the way) was awful so here it is. 1 star for the Val Vista location and 5 for the Ray location. read more

Edit: Ivy & Lucky no longer work here. The last time I went in looking for a specific ring style, I was told multiple times by the salesman on several occasions that I didn't want that type of ring. Won't go back again. I love this location! Go see Ivy or Lucky. They are both amazing, attentive, informative sales people. We have had the best service there. Do not go here! I went here with my sister to look for engagement rings for my now fiancé. I walked in and was met by 2 older ladies who seemed bothered by my presence to begin with. I was beaming with excitement because I was going to be making a HUGE decision in my life and also throwing down a huge chunk of my hard earned money. The ladies ( both sporting rings on all fingers) asked what I was looking for and showed me some outrageously priced rings. They asked my budget to which I gave them my reply (I worked my ass off for the money I had and I was convinced that it was a very generous amount) ...THEY BOTH LAUGHED... One said " If that's the kind of diamond you want you'll have to have bring more money than that." I was very embarrassed. They wanted me to open up a line of credit for the diamond alone. They then realized I wasn't buying a $10,000 ring and lost interest in me so I left. Gentlemen, GO TO THE SHANE COMPANY! They asked my budget and made me feel like a king, everybody is so nice. I'm very unhappy with the service I received here. About a week ago I took in my wedding band that I have had since May to be cleaned and inspected in order to maintain my diamond guarantee. They give me my ring back and all looks well when I leave, though I did not do a thorough investigation. A few hours later I realized that some of the diamonds had gone missing. I drove the 30 minutes back to Jared and the first thing they say when I mention the missing diamonds after having just left they say it could have happened after I left. Regardless the inspection is to make sure the diamonds and prongs and holding the diamonds securely in place. They agree to check in the ring cleaning machine and end up not only finding my FOUR missing diamonds but someone else's diamond as well. They then said they would put the diamonds back in but it would take a few days, which was fine. A few days later I go back to pick up my ring and after closely inspecting the ring I noticed a white residue left between all of the diamonds and the metal clearly had been melted and not fixed in the process. After pointing it out to them they tried to claim that it was just because the black diamonds had not been recoated in black rhodium, so they took it back to replate it and bring it back with the black very sloppily painted on (black drippings on side of ring, etc.) top of the residue! After arguing about it i decided to go to another location where they were able to buff some out but they also tried to blame it on the quality of the diamonds rather than a mistake that they made... Never once did I receive any sort of apology for any of these things but they continually tried to argue with me about things that they had done to the ring in the process... Very upset and still expecting some sort of apology for the treatment I received especially considering I am now stuck with a ring that is not even close to how I bought it just 3 months ago. Update: a manager called me after contacting customer service and has agreed to replace my entire ring. read more

Unbelievable! I took my engagement ring in to have prongs fixed and resized. It was on a Sunday and was supposed to be ready Thursday. Here it is Tuesday and they are just now calling me to say the price I was quoted is wrong and they want another two hundred dollars to do the work. What? Are you kidding me? I am struggling with even a 3 star rating . I am a jewelry fiend. Love pretty much any piece. Every time I go to this store. They change something . They are rude! I have gone in there several times . I also own several pieces of Levian . Which carries a warranty . I had a piece from my mother in law that just passed away and knowing that levian has the lifetime warranty . Having just had other pieces sized free they tried to charge me 50.00. This review is based on a couple of experiences we had and both were great. First we came for an issue with my wife's necklace which broke. While there we were treated well and during the wait we were able to have them clean her wedding ring. However, when it was repaired, it still showed the repair. When my wife took it in the second time, the manager ended up replacing the necklace strand as I had a warranty (even though I guess it doesn't cover everything?). From my wife's perspective the second time she came in, even though she was a disgruntled customer, they treated her well. It is amazing how even with customers who aren't particularly happy if you are nice to them and help them out they will turn a 3-4 star review into a 5. read more

I went in with a friend who was looking at buying a gift for his wife and we were greeted immediately by Kiera. She had a bubbly and energetic personality and was professional. She was helpful and knowledgable, and his wife loved the earrings she helped him with. Honestly he would not have chosen those particular ones had she not been his salesman (or saleswoman), when he took his wife back to show her the other options, Kiera was not working, but his wife was glad she had helped him. It was nice to see the younger generation working there now, she seemed more able to relate to what others our age want and directed us to different options. For the most part the staff here is pretty helpful, they did get an influx of customers while we were there and while they did their best to make everyone feel welcomed there is always someone in a crowd who feels they deserve more attention then others. Which happened this day, one man and his wife stormed out saying they had a lot of money to spend and they weren't spending it here because they weren't treated the way they felt they should be. My buddy said, "come on man, can't you tell they are busy and doing all they can? Cut some slack everyone else money is just as good as yours." When he got home from picking up the special order ring we discovered that the ring was a lower caret then we had ordered and paid for a higher amount of caret. I am disgusted that they did not inspect the ring and if we didn't discover it then we would have been screwed. My husband and I purchased our wedding rings here about a year and a half ago. We went in the store with the mind set of just buying a few bands for our casual Las Vegas wedding. The sales lady ( I wish I could remember her name) was so kind from the beginning. I will admit, they will try to sell you, but our sales lady was so great at her job and great to us that we bought a beautiful setting for myself that I was not expecting to buy - and I absolutely loved it! I come in every 6 months to get my rings serviced and I still receive great customer service from this location. I even had a problem with diamonds falling out of my band, and they replaced the missing diamonds and fixed the ring with no questions. Great job - keep up the great work! read more

The jewelry is beautiful, the problem is their lack of customer service. My husband and I have been repeat customers over the past couple of years. We also go in every 6 months to get our jewelry cleaned and inspected to keep our warranties valid. The staff has been consistently rude and recently had "dropped the ball" (their words) when it came to updating our records of our inspections. After asking two different times during the week for proper documentation and still not receiving it, we called and asked for a manager on 12/14/17. The manager on duty that evening had an impatient tone and was unapologetic for the entire situation, blaming it on a glitch in their system but never offering to get us the documentation we were requesting. She consistently interrupted us and used phrases that someone in the customer service industry, let alone a manager, should never use. Phrases such as, "well what is it that you want from me?", and "I'm really the nicest person in the world but you called me rude for placing you on hold" (we did not, we said that it was rude of her to abruptly put us on hold while my husband was in the middle of a sentence). As someone who works in the customer service industry I was shocked at this managers overly emotional behavior and can only hope that the whole thing was recorded so that corporate can listen for themselves. Needless to say, we will never purchase jewelry from any Jared again and will take our jewelry to get serviced at a different location. read more

Walked in only to be ignored for 10 minutes while I stood at the repair counter and 3 sales associates stood around talking with an old sales associate that had come in. Then another couple walked in got greeted immediately an walked over to the repair counter where I was finally asked if I'd been helped where I stated I had not. Why she asked is beyond me as she who asked helped the other couple first. When finally being helped got my ring that'd been in shop for 3 weeks to discover they ordered the wrong stone. Now to wait another week or 2 or 3. Rudest service I'd ever received unwilling to help and felt as if I was a bother. Mind you this was a custom ring that cost alot of money. I always leave happy most recent I went in for an anniversary gift for my fiancé. I knew he wanted a pocket watch but I wanted it engraved but need it done next day. Regardless of how long it's been since we've been in last, he greats us by name and handshake. Furthermore; when I go in and he is not there, I also get exactly the service I want despite the fact that they know I will only buy from George. He worked closely with my husband and I to make my custom engagement ring exactly as we wanted. I get complements on it everyday. I would have given this place a negative 5 stars had it been an option. I bought my fiancé her engagement ring here and what was supposed to be a special and enjoyable experience for her has turned into a nightmare. We were told that this ring could not be sized in house and so they would order another ring. 3 weeks went by and we had to call for an update to find out that they dropped the ball and ordered the wrong size but not to worry they would resize it. Wait I thought you couldn't do that and that's why you had to order one. Anyways go in get sized and then they give her the ring which is too big and then they measure her finger for the 3rd time and now have a different size then the 1st 2. Customer service is horrible they don't know what they are doing no follow through and the Manager is just as bad. I will never buy another piece of jewelry from this place and I would recommend that no one else buy from them either unless you want to experience frustration and have that special moment ruined read more

Just left Jared. When I arrived a lady asked if she could help me and I told her I was getting my ring repaired. I told her I was going over to service and she said ok. While at the service another women was sitting down drawing something on a paper. She saw me standing there and not once did she say one moment or someone will be with you in a moment. She acted like I wasn't standing there. After a couple of minutes another lady came and asked if she could help me. She was very nice and helped me get my ring repaired sooner then expected. After dropping my ring off I decided to go look at the watches. There were plenty of employee and I was the only customer in the the store. Not at one time did any of them ask if I needed anything. I was considering getting my husband a watch for his birthday tomorrow. Due to the poor customer service I received I decided to spend my money elsewhere. My husband and I have spent thousands of dollars in this store. You all need to do better with training your employee. I have had problems with this location before. This was the last straw. After this repair I will not be back to this location. In the future I will drive to another location or even a different jeweler. You received two stars because of the lady that took my ring and was very kind. This store deserves 0 stars. read more

I brought my beautiful 36 year old wedding set in to replace the head (the piece that holds the diamond). When I picked it up, there were gouges on the prongs. The manager said that he 'really couldn't see them' but would have them buff it for me.....it wasn't any better. He still couldn't see anything wrong but would have them replace the prongs again. (The tech in the repair department could see the problem). When I picked up my ring, there were no marks on the prongs but sharp gouges on the interior of the ring, between the diamond and the band. When I spoke to the manager, he said that it was 'wear and tear' - which was impossible due to the location of the gouges. I quickly brought it to another jeweler and he confirmed my suspicions and said that he knew exactly what tool had made the gouges, and he showed me that my diamond was actually loose! I returned to Jared to demand my money back since I was going to have to have someone else repair it and the manager was condescending, arrogant and insisted that it was just from the age of the ring and that I had brought it in that way. He would not listen to me but kept interrupting with his theory. I have never been treated so poorly and left in tears. I called corporate and talked with their customer service rep, sent a picture of the damage done to my ring and they agreed that it was impossible that it was due to age. She arranged for me to get my money back. What an ordeal! I would never recommend this store and will never, ever purchase anything from a Jared's. read more

Customer service is horrible! My husband and I went in to have my wedding ring and band resized from Jared in August 2014. The initial meeting with them was fine, and price seemed to be comparable to other jewelers. However, about a year later (only a year!!) my wedding band BROKE. Just split right in half. Right where they had done the resizing. Seriously?! Very shoddy work by this company. Well, I attempted to go back to have them fix their mistake. I showed them my receipt and the ring and they said they could fix it. However, they said that there was only a 6-month warranty so they would not be able to fix it for free. They now wanted to charge me just as much money to fix the ring as the initial resizing. So I would basically be paying them AGAIN to fix their own mistake. I understand warranties but when you do crappy work...you don't keep customers. The end. Needless to say, I will be going elsewhere to get my ring fixed. read more

First time customer - very impressed with the people I worked with - Michael, Rich and Loren!! I will be back!! Michael and Rich reviewed many options, sizes, and prices to help me decide whether to upgrade my wife's original diamond in her wedding ring or not. I was just curious about prices and sizes. They eventually found a diamond that fit in my price range, that was twice the size of my wife's original diamond, and much clearer. They were very patient with me as I tried to decide what to do. They offered to accept the old diamond as trade in or 10% off with a new Jared account. Also, if my wife didn't like the new one they would change it back to the original, no questions asked. It was 6:30 pm by the time I decided to do the new diamond and I was headed out of town the next morning. They rushed it and I was able to pick the ring up at 8:45 pm later that evening before they closed. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the new ring! The stone looked so much bigger than I thought it would. Now, my wife hates all kinds of surprises, even good ones, so in my 22 yrs of marriage, I was a little concerned with what she might say. When my wife asked about her ring, I told her I had it cleaned and polished and when she opened the box her eyes got really big and asked why it looks so big?
