Had an experience last week that was so typically par for the course at this Jared location. The PV store is the closest one to my home so I visit there at least twice a year for my jewelry servicing needs. Went in last week to get my watch battery replaced and the sales associate told me Jared had stopped their battery replacement service, even for watches purchased AT JARED. That smelled like complete BS to me, so I contacted the sales associate that sold me the watch at a different Jared location. She told me they would be happy to replace my battery FOR FREE, so that's what I did this afternoon. Less than stellar customer service quite typical for this location for the 12+ years I have been a customer of Jared. The sales people are not as well trained, and this particular location has been poorly managed for as long as I can remember (starting with Roxanne when she was the general manager). read more

I took my Raymond Weil watch to Jared's to have it sent to the factory for a new battery and cleaning. Through no fault of Jared's, and also because of the Christmas holiday season, the watch apparently got misplaced at the factory. After many attempts over many months by Jared's staff to track down my watch, it was finally found and returned it to me. It had a new battery and looked like new. Through this entire experience, Mr. Rozitis and his staff were always very concerned about my missing watch, very diligent once it was found to ensure it was serviced properly, and always provided timely updates about the status of my watch. I called them and they didn't apologize or offer to rebook me. If they don't have the desire to provide good customer service from the beginning it is a huge red flag. Went in to shop for wedding bands. Erika was very honest and explained the different metals we can create the men's band from and how each will respond different to water, air, and life activities. She helped us understand how different metals will be better with others and why. We never felt pressured. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because they don't sell moissanite which is definitely very on trend right now. On March 28th, 2024, my husband dropped off my gold chain at Jared's for repair. I had purchased this chain in Florence, Italy in the 1960's and have worn it with various charms my family and friends had given me over the years. Not only did this chain have monetary worth but many wonderful memories from those in my life and many who have passed. When my husband picked up my chain I knew immediately, this was not my chain but a cheap cord like chain. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor and was directed to Mr. AR. I advised him of the possible mix up and he denied there was one and said he had pictures to prove it (?). I was at a loss for words. Unfortunately, it has become an I said, he said situation. Came in and had a horrible experience with the manager Roxanne/Roxana. I have been in Jared two times prior due to a diamond bracelet of mines having flaws on the slider. To make a long story short the slider on my bracelet keeps coming loose. I come in and this wonderful guy named zack helps me and agrees that the slider on my bracelet is incredibly loose. The manager has an attitude and goes well it's not going to get any better that bracelet will naturally get loose. I respond with it shouldn't get loose in less than a week of having it... she doesn't even respond with a solution thankfully zack stepped in with his wonderful customer service skills and replaced my bracelet. Perhaps zack should be the manager since he seems to be the only person in there with common sense and high level of customer satisfaction. Just my two sense. For the future Roxana maybe just maybe treat your customers who spend lots of money with you with respect. Lots of respect! My mother, father, boyfriend and many of my friends spend money at this exact location. The salesperson (all of them) said we don't carry that brand anymore so we don't work on it. We got rid of the tools. They threw them out??!! You just tossed them? We love Jared's! The jeweler's are honest and fair and the staff is so welcoming and helpful. We live clear out in New River, yet we have no qualms about making the 40 mile trip to have our rings and other jewelry cleaned and checked (of course fixed when required). Yesterday we went in and out of 4 rings, a pair of earring and a tennis bracelet only 1 piece needed repair. My husband thought at the price of re-building the channels that maybe he'd get me a new wedding band. The salesperson showed him what was available within the trade-in and what the ring was and told him honestly that since I really loved my band, fixing it would let me keep my ring, the amount of carats in the channels and it would be good for another 17 years. appreciated that!!! Today I had a really bad experience here. Terrible experience. A few weeks back we went in to add a halo around my wedding ring. A man name Albert helped us, he was very thorough at explaining the process and also the financial part, he understood exactly how I wanted my ring. Fast forward to today, we get a call that my ring is done and ready for pickup, I walk into the store and I tell a lady, name Jess/jessi that I was there to pick up my ring. This lady is plain out rude and unprofessional, I felt personally attacked by her. She was very catty and aggressive. I didn't have my pickup slip or Id which I understood they cant do anything about that but as soon as I got on the phone to call my husband to ask where the slip was she very rudely said " if your calling to get him to give you permission over the phone we cant do that". First off, I was calling my husband to ask him where the slip was! Then when I came back with the slip it seemed like that still wasn't good enough for her because she told another employee there that I didn't have my id, and he told her to do the SAME thing she told me they weren't allowed to do and that was to call my husband over the phone to get permission! After this she and another employee come to me to tell me that I have to pay the taxes which I already knew and that I also had to pay for warranty. I told them that the man who helped us told us that the warranty was already included, they argued it wasn't. Finally, Albert came and I told him what was going on and this lady was still there telling me I had to pay for the warranty! Thee worst customer experience, I never felt so attacked in a store before! These people did not once look into my account to make sure they were telling me accurate information! Nothing! The whole time she was making assumptions that were incorrect! It took everything in me not to blow up on this lady for her lack of customer service and taking the time to look into the customers account before telling them they need to pay for something they DONT need to pay for! If it wasnt for this experience I would have left my 5 star review because Albert understood what I wanted and delivered something even better, it really goes to show that he cares. I have to like this place.. this is where my upgraded wedding anniversary band was bought.. well, it was put together.. because the story Im told by my very creative husband , is that he wanted a particular cut diamonds with high clarity..+VS or above... and a particular setting with channel diamonds.. This anniversary band was a huge surprise when my husband was out in AZ on business at Luke AFB... AND it was huge on my finger.. Jared has an onsite inspector who could tell me if bringing my ring down 2 , almost 3 sizes would mess up the diamonds in the sides.. My one downside.. appraisers are not onsite and only there certain times of the month.. OH make that a two downsides..I was to pick up my anniversary ring after the sizing at a particular time.. I called to see if I could get it 40 minutes earlier..Just being impatient and antsy and had to get to Scottsdale.. NO call back.. Even though the receptionist said it should be ready and theyd call back.. Most annoying thing is when someone says they are going to return a call.. and they blow it off.. That's a small thing and my husband didn't get to see the finished gift on my finger before his next trip back to DC and then on to Tokyo, but oh well. All and all .. Absolutely disgusted in this place. I was not greeted at the front door when I walked in. Totally understand it was busy considering it's holiday time. After 15 minutes no one had still came up to acknowledge my existence or say we will be right with you. The selection is over priced and limited. I'm not sure if it is because I was very small and was judged to appear as a kid but I could say don't judge a book by it's cover. My chain needed to replaced and they wanted Charge me another Hundred dollars even though I was told that my chain was warranty for life. A couple years ago my husband bought me some diamond earrings at Ultra (in the Tempe mall). We had purchased a lifetime warrenty on these diamonds. I have been keeping up with these inspections for years. Every time I brought them in to Ultra I was told that they look great, but they don't have the correct screw backing (they had been sold to us this way). Each time they would ask me if I wanted to purchase the correct backing for them, I would decline. The store eventually closed down and we were told to go to Jared who would take over the cleanings and inspections done twice a year. Well let me tell you, today was a good day. I walked into Jared's for my routine inspection and was helped by a woman named Jane. She looked up my info, cleaned/inspected my earrings and asked the same question I had heard 1,000 times before. I declined the $100 earring backing that she had offered and went on my way. When I was driving home she called me to tell me that my earrings were under warranty, therefore, they would replace my studs/backings for free. I returned a few days later and she had a ticket all made out for me. Now let me just say, that is service! I had already left the store and she took the time to look into my account and notified me of a benefit I did not know I qualified for. No one in had ever done that for me in the 7 years that I had owned these earrings. She really went above and beyond to make me a happy customer and I was really extremely impressed. Horrible experience with this location and Tatum. I took an engagement ring in for resizing and adjustment of the head. They quoted me two weeks and stated repairs would only be done at one location. The ring was shuffled between stores over 4 times. The ring was presented to me in less than mint condition and each associate seemed to have a new excuse "it is just tool marks, the residue will come off after being soaked over night, it did not go through the QA process prior to pick up, the jeweler had a bad day". Own the mistake off the bat as the customer knows their ring in and out. The associates were apologetic, but gave me no assurance that they were capable of rectifying the situation. James Allen, their sister store, is now faced with taking on repair and based on photos received- they state the entire ring will need to be replaced/reset due to damages inflicted by this location. The photos show marks, uneven band and still a tilted head. I left in tears with only an apology and no further action from the store. read more

Be very careful when purchasing here. I visited on Mother's Day to shop for my wife's birthday and son's graduation (not for Mother's Day, as I was taking advantage of the 15% off). The 2 items I purchased totaled over $900. When I got home I looked at the receipt and saw $119 charge for ESP (extended service protection). I did not ask for this. I called the store and spoke to Zak, my sales guy, who told me he could credit it back without me coming back. He then corrected himself and said I had to come back...so I drive another 20 minutes back. I asked him why this happened, as he didn't offer ESP to me, and I didn't ask for it. He told me the POS automatically adds ESP to the ticket and the cashier has to manually deselect it. He forgot to do so. He did not offer ESP to me for either item but seemed to remember to deselect ESP for the other item. I asked to speak to a manager. There was none. Mother's Day, one of the busiest days of the year, and no managers in the store. And to top it off they wouldn't compensate me for having to go back and forth again because of their mistake (no manager on duty). Having come from retail, I can assure you ESP is extremely profitable, much more profitable margin-wise than the actual item. The fact that an employee has to manually deselect it is ludicrous. Please, please make sure you check EVERY line item on your receipt every time. When I told my wife the story, she asked me to return it. $600 sale gone as well as a historically valuable customer. In fairness, all of the employees there were incredibly courteous and friendly. They just need better protocol around ESP. read more

Jared at Chandler location. Worse customer service ever! I purchased my fiancé's wedding ring and was treated horribly when I went to pick it up. The sales person never said anything to me, threw my ring at me on the counter and berated me in front of several customers after I said it was rude to throw a ring at me. Another employee had to remove her from the floor. A manager heard the entire exchange and apologized and told me that the sales person had been experiencing personal problems and they actually sent her home. I left Jared with tears in my eyes as I realized this negative experience was forever going to be associated with my wedding ring. I was told I would get a gift card because they wanted me to leave happy. At first I thought, OK I will keep the ring, but after the General manager (Chris) called me (with a very flat tone which implied he had way more important things to do then to apologize for poor customer service) I completely changed my mind. I returned the ring after he said he would to if he was treated like that and he would not honor a gift card. He told me to "Do what I had to do". I DID...we went to Shane Co in North Scottsdale. I purchased the exact same ring for 50% less purchase price and a lifetime warranty (Jared only gave me 3 years) but the best thing is we were treated with respect and we felt valued as customers. The experience was so great that we decided to buy 2 more jewelry pieces because we were so happy. We told them what happened to us at Jared, and we were told that wasn't the first time they have been told of their poor service. Save you money and don't buy anything there. Have had the worse experience ever with this store!! Don't buy from them!! I repeat DON'T BUY FROM THEM!! My fiancé ordered a custom made ring for me which when he picked it up it looked like someone who was drunk put it together!! They tried to fix it three times only making it worse! Which then we decided to go with a whole different ring to be made bc we were so aggravated with the quality. They told us it would be 6 more weeks before the ring would come in! Now when you're engaged and can't even rock your ring that's an issue. But okay let's get what we pay for and wait 6 more weeks. Well... The promise date was one week ago and still no ring! We have been engaged since Aug 24th and its now Oct 20 and still no ring!! This place is a joke!! Beware!!!!! Update: second ring has come in and it's still looks like someone who was drunk put this together. Diamonds in halo are jagged and not straight, Center diamond was not put in straight , one of the diamonds down the side of the band sunk in and when my fiancé told them that this too was unacceptable and needed to be fixed he was told nothing is perfect and asked if he was an engineer! ( by the manager Chris!) This place is a nightmare and a joke. 2 rings later and it has yet to be on my finger. Horrible horrible experience from customer service to quality. Update: a THIRD ring has to be made!! Yes a THIRD ring! Apparently the ring came in with mil grain which there wasn't suppose to be mil grain so instead of sending that back they decided to sand the mil grain off which let to uneven surfaces which leads to diamonds don't sit right! Are you kidding me??!! Oh and the custom made wedding band that we paid a lot of money for came in as well... guess what! it was missing a diamond! yes you read correctly, tgey actually handed us the ring to take with a diamond missing! There is only one positive to this situation and her name is Wendy! Wendy is our sales person who during all of this has been amazing and 100% honest with everything. It's unfortunate she has to work for this store because she deserves better! Other than that they really need to reconsider who is working for this store.
