I haven't had such fresh tasting Tandoori chicken around the south Sound area for a while .. Janoon was impressive. The entree portion was generous (5pc) and perfectly grilled

First time here, and the food was solid. I ordered the Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, and garlic naan. The spices were definitely present in the Biryani and Masala, but for me, they lacked some depth of flavor. The garlic naan was a bit dry and bland. On the plus side, the portions were generous, which is great if you want leftovers. Just a heads-up, they don't hold back on spice, so be careful if you can't handle heat. The restaurant itself is pretty open, but it was a bit cold when I dined in. Overall, it was an okay experience, but feel free to give it a try!

Ordered chilli paneer and gobi Manchurian for appetizers. Main course - garlic naan, Malia kofta, dal makhni. Vegetarian biriyani and mango lassi. Appetizers are more like gravy and too saucy. I did not like the flavor. Malia kofta and garlic naan was delicious. Biriyani had a great flavor.

Grabbing a week night dinner at this cozy establishment turned out to be a treat. The service was somewhat slow. We had to call multiple times for someone to take our order. We ordered the mango lassi, dahi papdi chat, paneer makhni and garlic nan. Dahi papdi chat was delightfully refreshing. The Paneer Makhni(spice level 3) had a good spice to it and was quite tasty. Would visit again.

The food was fantastic, service was excellent, and I would definitely be a regular if I lived in Washington. I had the Chicken Curry and ordered it extra spicy and it was so flavorful. Baljeet was very friendly and an excellent waitress who recommended some delicious food such as the Samosa Chaal with Chana. Well worth a try!

Janoon is an absolutely lovely newer business located in a business park. It'd been on my bookmarks for awhile, but between Indian food traveling well and the fact that it was closer than I thought lead me to a semi-impulse lunch. The gentleman isn't too sure on Indian so I decided to get him a Daal makhani as an intro (which I could eat if it wasn't a hit), paneer makhani for myself, garlic naan, paneer pakora, and ajeera rice - all "medium" spice. With ethic restaurants I'm always careful with the spice level the first time since I don't know how Americanized they are. I was quite surprised how spicy Janoon makes a medium. To the point I could handle "hot," but I really don't think I want to. Medium had a great kick to it while not burning my face off so I could still get the flavours. The Daal makhani was a big hit and I really enjoyed my paneer dish as well. Janoon was definitely a great lunch with plenty of leftovers so I feel like I got my bang for me buck and will definitely be back!

    4. Butter Chicken with rice

I was in the mood for butter chicken and saw this new place on Yelp and it was down the street from my job so I figured why not. Turns out it's in the suite where EJ's used to be. I walked in and there was ample seating but nobody to greet me. A few minutes later someone came out and quickly apologized and told me I could sit anywhere and gave me a menu. There were plenty of choices and as another review mentioned the prices for the main courses were on the higher side. My butter chicken was almost $18 and I was pretty shocked at how small the container was when they served it. However it does come with rice and so therefor the value of the meal is pretty decent! The server did ask me the spice level I wanted the butter chicken and I chose hot but it definitely lacked on the "hot". The butter chicken was very flavorful and filled with lots of chicken. The chicken itself was a little dry. The rice was fluffy and filled with spices. One so big, it got lodged in my throat and i almost choked. But the rice is A very nice accompaniment to the butter chicken. The garlic naan was a side order but a must. It was super fresh and so nice to dip into the butter chicken. Not pictured but I also ordered a mango lassi and it was thick and not too sweet but I was too stuffed by the time I finished to really enjoy it. It's a definitely a plus to have an Indian restaurant in the area. I wish they lunch specials. With the industrial area that they are in that would be the way to go. I spent about $36 on my lunch after a $6 tip and that's just a little expensive to do all the time. They are super friendly here. I asked them how long they had been open and they said about 4 months. Wish them much success!

Great service in a nondescript business building. The spinach stuffed Naan was great! Had a nice char on it. The heat was perfect in the dishes and I really liked the mango chicken. Butter chicken was nice and tender too. I did not like the aloo Gobi. The cauliflower was overcooked and too many potatoes in it

First time here , odd location but easy parking ! First Impressions were not bad at all given we were the only people there at the time . Service was quick and friendly and a pretty simple menu Ambiance- Good Mid sized dining area with simple and clean designs Food- Came out under 15 min for 5 dishes . Samosas 3/5 - Filling is pretty good , but the outside could've been better (Personal Preference) Lamb Curry 4/5 - Definitely hits the spot lamb could be more tender but overall really good ! Butter Chicken -3/5 - Had better but it is great for what butter chicken is! Chicken is not dry and tough like other spots and will for sure get your craving out ! Chicken Biryani 4/5 - Really Tender chicken, Great Flavors , a really solid pick . Garlic Naan - 2/5 Didn't hit the same as other spots as it did not taste as fresh , but it can totally be just me Overall - Decent Price range $20-30 , If you are craving Indian Food then this place will for sure satisfy it ! Would come back if I am in the area .

I would have given them more stars but the service was lacking when we came in for lunch. It was after the "normal" lunch hours so we thought it might be a little quieter. They had a few tables but not too busy. The only server was clearly uninterested in doing her job. The table next to us had water spilled all over their table and we just watched it drip off the corner of the table while she ignored it! Now, the food is excellent! It deserves five stars! Great flavor, great presentation. A little pricey for lunch but oh so good! It's tucked into an office park of W. Valley so if you didn't know it was there you would drive right past it as I have since they opened! It is truly a hidden gem!

    Gobi Manchurian
    Uday M.

Though it's tucked away in an industrial complex and a bit hard to find, it's well worth driving around for, especially if you're on you way to/from the airport. The Dahi Papdi Chaat was flavorful with the chutneys, the Gobi Manchurian had excellent texture, and the Methi Malai Matar was cooked perfectly (although I would recommend getting it mild, since the spice masks some of the complex flavors). Service was quick and friendly as well.

Chicken curry and Paneer Tikka Masala
    Michael J.

Took takeaway at 915pm on a Tuesday. Ordered paneer tiki masala and chicken curry (2 star) with garlic naan and white rice. I am currently writing this between bites, and I have not felt the need to make a food review in a series of hot minutes. This food is DELICIOUSNESS! The paneer is perfectly firm, and the tiki is wonderfully creamy. I could and did drink the last of this from the bowl. The chicken curry is immaculately spiced for 2 star, all the flavor and the heat just pops out to say hello. Toss that in the fragrant rice (I don't know what they added but it had little seed pods that tasted like a spring meadow) and scoop it with the naan for absolutely perfect bites. Did I mention that this was eating a full hour later? I got busy and couldn't get to the table and this is STILL amazing food. Not enough people at this restaurant, more people need to eat here!!

They also have plenty of seats with access to outlets, making it a perfect spot if you are looking for a place to work or study. I want to share my experience at Café Condor…read more Overall, the café itself is fine. The place, food, and drinks are not the issue. The problem is the service behind the counter. From what I saw, most of the counter staff behave in a rude, arrogant, and disrespectful way toward customers, although there may be exceptions. Some employees may not get involved, but the overall atmosphere behind the counter feels very unpleasant. There was a situation where a person was waiting in line, just standing a little to the side, and some employees started acting like he was trying to skip the line and began confronting him for no reason. Instead of normal customer service, there was attitude, accusations, and disrespectful behavior. Another uncomfortable situation was with the language. When someone clearly understands Russian or Ukrainian but deliberately responds in English and acts like they don't understand the customer, it looks disrespectful and unprofessional. Especially when it is obvious that the person understands what is being said. Again, the café itself may be okay, but the main group working behind the counter really ruins the experience. Customers should be treated with respect, regardless of what language they speak or where exactly they are standing while waiting in line. Very unpleasant experience. I hope the owners pay attention to how their employees treat customers.

Every visit was consistently outstanding. The Vietnamese coffee here is on another level. Their pastries were fresh each time. The staff is accommodating, pleasant, and genuinely welcoming. The shop itself is very clean, relaxing, comfortable, and has a vibe that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. It's the kind of café where the drinks, the service, and the atmosphere all line up perfectly. I also want to address some of the negative reviews because they're honestly puzzling. A few folks took the time to write a negative review and even post pictures of their drink -- yet never a mention of bothering to bring their concern to the staff. If you're unhappy, talk to them. I would bet with 100% certainty they would have made it right immediately. That's the kind of team they were each time we visited. For those who didn't give them the chance to fix the issue... just go to place where you can drink from the mermaid cup, I am sure they would love to see you. And for the person who complained that the furniture wasn't strong enough to accommodate their weight... I am puzzled, maybe you meant to post that review for another business?? ummmm... never mind. Behind the counter is a nice room filled with low tables and chairs, which nicely mimics the restaurants one find in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh. The murals , green shutters and colorful hanging lamps add to the ambiance of being in Vietnam. I wish they'd clear the equipment they're storing on the side of the ordering counter. It is clearly an eyesore. We ordered the steamed Banh Beo. They were good. The Cha Giò (fried spring rolls) were great, as well. The Grilled Chicken Knees were super good, especially the sauce. But that item was clearly too expensive for serving a chicken part that is easily thrown out by a butcher! They don't give you enough. Maybe it should be put in appetizer section. Or maybe serve it needs to be served with some rice! The food is served on flat baskets and small attractive little chinaware---nice touch, very authentic looking . They also served sugar cane juice and other tropical smoothie drinks, with boba. Wished they' had the employees at least check on the diners and ask how we liked the food. Also, don't mind bussing our plates, but the station felt cramped. Again, I understand that it's not a full service restaurant, but a few extra service touches can enhance the experience for a good concept that they seem to have here. The other thing that bothered us is that there was no water coming out of the faucet in their one lone restroom. One would think that, that would be in any restaurant's checklist before they open. Big no-no. We'll be happy to try other offerings next time.
