Daca after
yemi g.

I had the most wonderful experience at Janneth's. We are from California and Daca goes to a particular high end groomer in California that costs me $$$, more than I spend on myself !!! The reason: Daca had one bad experience with grooming that left him anxious so I like to send him to the same place. I was skeptical based on the reviews which I now feel are unwarranted, but he was looking so grungy. I took him to Janneth's which was close to where I am staying. Let me just say that this is THE BEST haircut, shampoo he has ever received. He was not anxious, which means he was treated with lots of love. The price was incredibly reasonable. If I could take them back to California. Great work! Efficient, timely and perfectly done.

I took my dog for only BASIC upkeep (i.e., cutting the nails, cleaning the ears, and trimming hair around my dog's private areas). I tried to tell them that my dog did not need a regular haircut, and I explicitly told the front desk clerk and another employer not to touch my dog's eyelashes, the hair on her body, or the hair around her face. Again, the ONLY area I requested to be cut was my dog's private areas. When I tried to emphasize my instructions to the staff, they rushed me, and I felt like they blew off my request. One of the employees stated "ok, ok, ok ..." as I was trying to give my instructions as if that employee didn't want to listen or care to do a good job. They did take "notes," but something did not sit right with this initial customer service exchange. My gut was correct. When I picked up my dog, I saw not a single instruction I gave was followed. My dog was completely shaved (face, body, eyelashes - all the places I EXPLICITEDLY say not to touch). On top of the unfollowed instructions, the shave job was uneven; my dog has patches of shorter/longer hair. Additionally, my dog's ears were not cleaned adequately, and the ears were trimmed via a quick job with a razor, resulting in bald patches. The grooming service as a whole is the epitome of laziness. That "note" taken at my customer intake was also "changed" as I inquired why none of my instructions were followed; additionally, the customer service did not call to notify me of any potential changes to my initial instructions (instead, a unilateral decision was made to shave my dog without my knowledge or permission). Not a single employee could address why this failure to follow instruct occurred or took responsibility for this failure in overall service, and there were no immediate supervisors/upper management on site that could address the issues I described above. I asked to speak to the tech that serviced my dog as well as upper management; instead of addressing me directly, the employees on site quickly convened in a backroom and just uniformly agreed not to refund me. The amount I paid was $100 for these "services," and I was not given ANY refund. The experience as a whole was the following: rude, uncaring customer service and lazy, inadequate dog grooming. If you want good customer service that respects your wishes as a dog owner, this place is not for you. If you want your dog to be cut to basic grooming standards, this place is not for you. I will not be coming back to this location, and I do not recommend this location under ANY circumstance to any future customer (you have been warned ...) What an amazing find--Otto's first grooming appointment was today, and he looks and smells wonderful. He had a Saturday morning appointment. I dropped him off at 8:30 am, and he was ready for pick-up by 11:15 am. He was super, happy when I picked him up with his Easter-themed bandanna. Plus the scenic drive was lovely, and there was plenty of parking. The cost was about the same as I've paid in Silver Spring/down-County, but Janneth's did a superior job!

My father took our schnauzer puppy to this groomer near our house and we absolutely LOVE the cut! He looks absolutely handsome and we can't wait to come back for his next visit. He came out with a precious handkerchief after he was done and had good reports on his behavior. Thank you to Christina for being a great groomer for Kirby! She even wanted to give Kirby a goodbye hug before we left. He came to us as a happy boy. Christina's kindness meant a lot to us and Kirby, thank you! Five starts from us :)

Henson couldn't look more handsome!

I will never take my dog to Janneth's again. My dog came back bleeding on the ends of both of his ears because they clipped them so close.

I was recommended Old Towne Pet Resort by a coworker, and I will now be recommending them too!…read more I called to make a 2-week dog boarding reservation 30-days in advance for the peak Christmas season, and they miraculously had availability at one of their three locations (Bethesda). The gentleman on the phone was so helpful and informative and made it easy. When it came time to drop my dog off the staff were so friendly and kind, and they were extremely attentive and took detailed notes of all the items I brought with my dog and any of her quirks (e.g., severe allergies, doesn't play well with others, etc.). The space was so clean and large. I felt very reassured dropping her off as I went on vacation. When I came back to get her, the staff was helpful and, again, extremely kind and talked about her time there with details that were definitely unique to my dog. She was happy, healthy, clean, and well groomed. All of her toys and leash items were accounted for and they even ran a toy out to my car that they had forgotten in her kennel. Bottom line: 5/5 do recommend!

Two years after boarding my dog at Olde Towne Pet Resort, I am still dealing with health issues…read morecaused during her stay. I am not one to complain, especially in a public forum, but the lack of care my animal received was egregious. During her stay, my dog experienced an ear infection so severe that she developed acute dermatitis from scratching. The sore or 'hot spot' on her cheek was unmissable when we picked her up, but The staff tried to pass it off as if everything was normal. The groomer who prepared her for pickup had the gall to pretend he didn't notice a massive weeping sore on her face. For her condition to have reached this point, she would have needed to scratch constantly for days and not be noticed by the staff that were supposed to be spending 'cuddle time' with her daily. As anyone who has ever had a pet with an ear infection can attest, the behavior is far from subtle. Any remotely observant and competent person would catch it. Worse, I reviewed the update photos that were sent throughout her stay, and red spot on her cheek is visible in every shot and getting progressively worse. This means that the staff overseeing playtime let an animal run around with blood on her face for days without investigating. This is utterly unacceptable. My dog also came home with constant bouts of diarrhea that we assumed this might have been a bug she picked up in boarding, but it turned out to be colitis. Our veterinarian confirmed that this was most likely stress-induced. It has made me wonder what trauma my dog experienced while being boarded that would cause her to develop a permanent bowel condition. Her colitis has caused her enormous suffering and I am still trying to manage the condition years later. As others have reported here, the staff did not feed my animal the way they were directed, and returned what was supposed to be an empty bag of dog food to us half-full. So to recap, they underfed my dog in addition to neglecting an ear infection and resultant severe, pus-weeping skin infection, then tried to pass my pet off to me as if nothing happened. Whatever they did or neglected to do for her led to a chronic bowel condition that has rendered her partially incontinent. I was appalled by the dishonesty I experienced from the staff, but decided at the time to let it go, and simply swore never to give Olde Towne my business again. I figured my dog would bounce back, but she didn't. Reflecting that she has never been the same and that she experienced pain and neglect at the hands of the people I entrusted her with, I feel the need to let other pet owners know what they might be in for if they board their animals here.

Brandi & Perry were amazing! Highly recommend working with them…read more We adopted a one year old mixed breed, Tuck, a few months ago. He's very sweet but started to get rambunctious to the point that my remote work felt challenging. He also started jumping or freezing when he saw other dogs on walks, and he occasionally barked or growled and men. We weren't sure if it was the start of aggressive behavior or just the result of a shelter dog that hasn't been exposed. After doing our research, we decided to do the 3 week behavior modification board and train program. We were really impressed from beginning to end. They shared a ton of information upfront, walked us through their facility (we opted to drop him off) and sent pictures and updates every evening. It became clear right away that they both have a very deep understanding of dogs, as well as a real respect and love for them. Tuck loved them! The best part was the "transition" day when Perry brought Tuck back and spent the day teaching us everything they've worked on together. We are first time dog owners so generally going in pretty blind. Perry gave us a 101 on dogs and the importance of clear and consistent communication. He talked through all of the layers of training and how/why it is effective. We felt this part was SO helpful for us to understand how to be better owners. Then we walked Tuck around the neighborhood with Perry guiding us and then spent time addressing indoor behaviors too. He was flexible and stayed until we felt comfortable with everything. This is a long review so the TLDR: finding a trainer is a big decision and investment so we wanted to get it right. Brandi & Perry were really incredible and beyond our expectations!! Truly worth every penny! Tuck has been doing really great at home and outside since being home. I've been able to work full days with him holding "place" on his cot, which would have been unheard of before!

I can't say enough good things about Brandi and Perry Bailey of RSK9. Their work has given my pup…read moreand I so much freedom and balance. Pebbles (blue heeler, 1.5 years old) would never listen to me, would not sit or lay still, and had a lot of other obedience issues that caused her to be stressed or confused. She was a TOUGH dog to train and I was concerned I couldn't find the solution for her to get basic concepts. This view has completely changed since working with RSK9's 3 week program. I would HIGHLY recommend them and their methods - you can tell they genuinely love working with dogs and it's made a huge difference in giving my dog the chance to find real rest at home. They send DAILY updates with photos and videos which was so nice. This isn't a regular class or something you just pay for; it's truly an investment that you and your dog will be using for the time you get to share together. Side note: it's worth doing 3 weeks versus 2 weeks. At the 2 week mark is when Pebbles really started to understand her marks and cues. From here there is so much more that can be refined and Brandi/Perry really capitalize on that threshold being crossed!
