Best Mexican restaurant ever! The vegetarian chimichanga was served piping hot and crispy along with very delicious black bean and Mexican rice. Get there early, as the place packed out before noon. The meal started with the traditional chips and salsa. The bonus bean dip was good. The salsa had chunks of peppers and onions which helped give it a kick. I was getting excited for my meal. I went with my traditional combo plate; taco, enchilada and chili rellano. This gives me an apples to apples comparison to other restaurants. I ordered the taco with shredded beef. I will say that the beef was very good. The rest of the taco one wouldn't know was there. The little bit of lettuce and cheese did not affect the flavor one bit. The enchilada was about the same as the taco. Good filing flavor but otherwise nothing. The enchilada sauce didn't seem to add much. The chili rellano ended up my favorite of the three. When I bit into it I could taste something different and wonderful. The cheese was good and the sauce had the flavor that was missing from the enchilada. The sopapilla for dessert was a nice bonus. Waitress did a good job of serving. In all this was about average for what I expect at a restaurant like this. read more

Decent enough place for a pass through town on a road trip but wouldn't return here. They provide beans, salsa, and chips when you sit down. I couldn't get a straight answer on whether the beans had any meat in them (like pork). The bench seat had holes in the vinyl. Ordered the veg fajitas with no cheese or sour cream (I'm vegan) and there was cheese on the pico. The fajita vegetables weren't made sizzling with char like normal Mexican restaurants, they came out mushy and with an orange colored sauce all over them. We went here for dinner last Saturday and it was very good. They start you off with chips, salsa, and bean dip and all were very good. We ordered the steak fajitas and the chile verde pork. The steak fajitas were very good but wish it had a more bell peppers since most of the veggies were only onions. The steak was tender and nicely seasoned. The chile verde pork was awesome and had great flavor. The rice, beans and tortillas were amazing. Also, they give you huge portions for a fair price. We just enjoyed an amazing takeout lunch. Such big portions I'll be able to have left overs for dinner to. I also ordered the churros which were perfect! On a Sunday in Twin Falls it can be hard to find a restaurant that is open and isn't a chain. But then for the food to be beautifully presented and absolutely delicious made it even better! After reading an article about the best places for Mexican food in Idaho we thought we'd give this place a try. Felt optimistic because the parking lot was pretty packed. Should've chatted with the waitress before ordering because what we ordered was extremely disappointing. We both got combos, mine with a chili rellano and a shredded beef taco and my daughter a chicken enchilada and the same beef taco. Ugh, these were the absolute worst tacos we've ever had with maybe a tablespoon of meat on a horribly crumbly fried flour tortilla. Seriously, Jack in the Box tacos are better than these were. The rest of our food and the beans and rice were pretty so-so, nothing to rave about at all. I suspect we would've been happier with their street style tacos or fajitas. One thing I did like was the Pacifico on tap for just $2.50. I also had a marg on the rocks and it was just ok. Chips and salsa were nothing special. We will maybe give them another try and if and when we do I'll update my review. It would be nice to see some tips from locals about what's good here. read more

My wife and I are new to Twin Falls. She wanted to go out for Mexican food. We searched Yelp and found Janitzio Mexican Restaurant. Many reviews were very positive. Our experience differs. The restaurant is very clean and the staff, save one, were very friendly. The food however, was flavorless. I don't believe there was a spice rack in the kitchen. We are from Los Angeles where Mexican food is ubiquitous. Bad Mexican restaurants don't last long because there's too much competition. This place would have shut down in the first week if it was located in Los Angeles. read more

Got the vegetarian burrito with no cheese, no mushrooms. Added guac on the size. It was so amazing. Even my bf who hates beans didn't believe the refried beans were beans. It had a lot of onions and was serious about the chunks of carrot and celery, which I was worried wouldn't be good but this place was AMAZING. Wow. I'm vegan and have a hard time finding a good vegan meal at places that aren't specifically vegan especially outside California and a few other states but I have to say this was soooo good. I already miss this food and I do get amazing Mexican food in CA. Will come back if in the area and 100% recommend to vegans! The chips were super fresh and guac too! So I cannot give anything more than a 3. The server was really nice, but quite slow. But the good about the server is the only good thing. Because the food is really bad. The burrito was such bad quality. It was small, dry, flavorless, no queso inside or on top. The chips were dripping with oil. The fajita was served room temp, and was extremely oily.
