Just Wish They Would Add More Lengua In The Tacos, I Had Them Make Them With Two Corn Tortillas Per Tacos, That's Tradition, They Didn't The First Time I Ordered Them, They Feel Apart The First Time, Not Today. This Is Going To Be A Regular Spot For Me Now, Wish Other Restaurants Sold Lengua read more

Authentic Mexican basics. My husband loved the mole. Smoky and a tiny bit hotter than average. Not made with breast meat. Tacos made the street way. Yummy beans. Setting is casual. Market next door. Chips were a little stale on a Sunday night hopefully not usually. Speak Spanish if you can. At least try. Got a big smile for it. We will be back. read more

This place was highly recommended by friends. My husband and I love their food. He usually orders a burrito, but for me their arroz con pollo is the best--especially with their made fresh flour tortillas! It's nice that the owner steps out front to visit with the customers, too. He's very friendly and makes us feel welcome every time we dine there. We'll be going back regularly! read more

Driving thru town and saw good reviews so we decided to try it out..homemade chips, salsa and refried beans...EXCELLENT... This is a no brainer stop.. read more

La Campesina Restaurant - Nummy - Mexican Near Me - Jerome, Idaho

My friend said he has been to a hundred Mex Rest's and this is his ALL TIME favorite. So I had to try the Camrones La Crema with Diablo sauce on the side plus home made corn tortillas. I could swim in the cream sauce, it is amazing. Staring with deep fried chips, they were thick and crunchy, almost kettle potato-chip-style, then dip them in a medium chunky salsa, top it off with the best beans I have ever eaten. Large, bright roomy eating area, very clean and TV's on nearly every wall. Well, it's true, the best Mex in Idaho is La Campesina. read more

Was driving past Jerome and was craving some Mexican food. This place had good reviews so we gave it a go. The food was fantastic. I had the enchiladas and the meat melted in my mouth. My fiancé had the chimichanga and he was also really impressed. Some of the best Mexican food I've had. Definitely will be making a stop here again! read more

La Campesina Restaurant - Enchiladas and chimichanga - Mexican Near Me - Jerome, Idaho

This is my second time to this place. They have some large portions for the price. The food is good, not the greatest but it's good. They have buffet during lunch, which has a lot of different food items on it. The staff is quick and friendly. This trip I had the Taco Salad with ground beef. It was good. The beef was bland which was surprising. read more

Steak tacos for .99? I can feel it. The carne asada has good flavor...not too citrusy like 9 beans. The food isn't great, but it's not bad. Carnitas were sad...tasted more like crockpot pork tenderloin. No thanks. The adjoining market is great though. A wider variety than other similar stores. read more

We did take-out while staying in a hotel while on the road. This place had good reviews, but the food was mediocre at best. The enchiladas were mush and tasteless and the chile rellenos weren't any better. The food was ready when they said it would be, but otherwise, not much to recommend this place. read more

The best mexican food in Jerome I have ate here 5 or 6 times, ordering different every time its always excellent food and excellent service highly recommend this place read more

This was my all time favorite Mexican restaurant, until my daughter and I went the other day. We got there about 2:10 got seated fairly fast, waited 10mins for someone to come and take our drink order and food order. In came in 6 other people.1/2 hour after us. We sat there and no food, the other 6 people ordered and got their food and were eating. I stopped the waitress and say we now need ours to go( sat there 40mins no food) We sat there another 10 mins before we laid 5.00 on the table for the drinks and chips and walked out. So sad read more

We were driving through town and wanted Mexican food. We were pleasantly surprised by this place. Not very fancy inside but the food was very authentic Mexican. Absolutely delicious. I usually don't write reviews but they had the best Chile rellenos ever. read more

Oh my God. Everything here was amazing.. from the appetizer to the drinks to the meal. And price is unbelievable for how good it is.

Best fresh shrimp fajitas! Loved the bean dip w/chorizo. Loved our food, ate like pigs. Kind elderly lady had to nudge young waitress to remember to check on us. They were sweet, but, the it took way too long to get our check. What can I say, she was young. : ) Nice vibe. I will definitely go back. read more

Delicious!!! The chicken chimichanga melted in your mouth. The salsa and bean dip and chips were a yummy appetizer to a great meal.

Overall excellence! The service was a tad bit slow, what can you say ladies love to talk! No harm no foul. Everything else was perfect ! I had the chicken fajitas.. sooo delicious read more

On a road trip and needed dinner. Delicious food, great service, and quick delivery. I would highly recommend this place!!

Just passing through Jerome on my way back to college and after 10 hours behind the wheel I was desperate for something more than fast food. Luckily, we found here. Truly a remarkable restaurant in a largely unremarkable place. The salsa was lovely and hot, the tacos were exceptional and well priced and the shredded beef enchiladas were just what I needed to give me the will to live on! Would recommend if you're passing through and don't be afraid that everything is in Español ~ siempre un bueno momento para practicar! read more

This place is so amazing! First time here and we've lived in Jerome for awhile not sure why we havnt came here sooner! Definitely will come back! :) read more

You can trust it's going to be good when they answer the phone in spanish. Really solid mole! Rich, thick- a little spicier than I'm used to, but very good. Rice was standard tex-mex fare, and would've been nice to have a breast of chicken in the mole vs 2 legs, but it's a minor complaint. I'd happily go here, again. read more

Excellent food, variety of spice levels. Loved the homemade tortillas, And salsas. Service ok.

Great Mexican restaurant. We ordered tacos they were delicious, menudo and a taco salad. Great quality. You get chips and salsa while waiting for your food. Definitely coming back here next time I visit Gooding, Idaho. read more

Mexican food is my favorite but l ordered carne asada medium rare. The meat was over cooked and very salty. The green onions still had roots attached and they were not fresh. The pinto beans with the meal were runny. Decor was dated. Would like to try other food items but just here passing thru. read more

Me gusta! It's very good, you can see and taste the homemade. I am stuffed just from the combo plate with an appetizer. Next time I will just do the appetizer and dessert. read more

We stopped by this restaurant on our way across the country. The atmosphere isn't super romantic but the food more than makes up for it. If I lived in Jerome I would literally be here several times per week. The food is SO good. The chips and salsa are amazing, you can tell the salsa is homemade. I got the enchiladas and they are a HUGE portion. I wished I wasn't full so I didn't have to stop eating them, that's how delicious they are. Amazing place, a must stop. read more

Love the authentic Mexican food here. Their street tacos are bomb and their salsa is the perfect mix of spicy while still being flavorful. 5 stars! read more

Service was okay, but the food was dreadful. My burrito tasted like meatloaf in a tortilla. Salsa was watery, cheese was below average, and water had a disgusting aftertaste. Do not recommend. read more
