Soo disappointed. Been coming here for years and thought we'd take the Mothers out for Mother's Day. There were lots of wait staff and even empty tables and even with a reservation it took a half hour get our orders taken. We ordered a blended margarita which came out on ice. The waitress went to take it back and blend after it had been tasted rather than bring out a corrected one. We were warned that extra baskets of chips were now charged extra. All meat substitutions were also extra when it didn't used to be. We asked for crayons for the kids, and they handed us crayons with nothing to draw on. A half hour more and we still didn't get served. We asked to wrap it all up to go. After another ten minutes and no food we got up to leave. We stopped to pay for the drinks and they charged us for the chips and salsa, the Wrong margarita and anything else on the table. The manager tried to say the kitchen was backed up and that it's like this every Mother's Day. We've been there plenty of times on holidays and never had such poor service. Word to the wise, be prepared to pay now for any "extras" and set aside extra time to be served. read more

Coming from Southern California I was a little worried that my staple foods wouldn't be available here in Twin. To my surprise they have a large Mexican population and quite a variety of restaurants. Garibaldi's was recommended to me and I am not disappointed. I got a combo plate with a tamale, taco, and enchiladas so I could sample as much as possible. The portion was huge and the flavor was very good. The service was top notch and I believe that would be where this place shines. The waitresses were very engaged and super friendly. Used to love this restaurant and it was my go-to for Mexican food. The last 3 times I went there during a non-busy time (mid-afternoon) getting waited on seemed to be a problem for the staff. The first two times I tolerated it as it took them 20-25 minutes to take my order after the initial chips/salsa/bean dip were brought out. This last time I sat there for 25 minutes while the staff chatted and laughed in the kitchen. Another customer who sat on the patio was waited on before me and got her meal while I sat there. Had lunch today (Sunday). The restaurant was packed. We were meeting family and they arrived earlier so we had a seat. Waitstaff immediately came to the table, took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to choose our meal. Our meal came out quickly. It was good but not great. My wife's Taco Salad was watery and had very little meat. My combo mixed up the fillings. It was no doubt because they were busy. This place used to be our go to. But recently they changed their margaritas and they suck!! They are smaller and weak. We usually get drinks with dinner. And now that they sick we'll be going somewhere else. They used to be handmade. Now it's seems like a pre mix with no booze. Bummer we used to love this place. So disappointed . After going here for the last 2 years and enjoying the food ..something has changed. Least two times of eating there , food quality has fallen. Not consistent like it was. IE: bean dip and was just colored water .. sent back .. order that was incorrect and not rectified. Salsa even tastes off to us lately as well. read more

We were traveling through Twin Falls and were craving Mexican. After looking at the high ratings, we decided on Garibaldi's. We are so glad that we did! We were estimated at only 15 minutes for our food to be ready for pickup! We got the chicken and steak fajitas and the queso appetizer. Everything was delicious and the salsa tasted especially fresh and had a good spice to it! The combination steak and chicken fajitas entree was plenty for two, especially with the queso appetizer. We choose flour tortillas, but they give you the option of corn if you prefer. Highly recommend checking out this place if in the area. This is a great place to go if you want a group dinner. There are plenty of places available for you all and the staff is super friendly. That being said, if you're looking for Mexican food, like, REALLY really authentic Mexican food, there are a lot more options to choose from rather than here... The food IS good, but not the best in town. I got the taco salad with shredded beef, tasty. It came with guac and sour cream on the side. I added salsa and hot sauce. My friend got the "fajita-dia" (quesadilla with fajita fixings in it). Both fine options. Side note... The water tasted kinda weird. Can we have that double checked please??? read more

I don't understand why this place has only 3 stars. Peggy was fantastic as our server and the food was above-average for a Mexican restaurant in migrant worker country. (Saying there are a lot of good ones in this area). The chips and salsa were delicious. Too good, actually. I had 3 baskets full. My son's order of cheeseburger at a Mexican restaurant was expected to be a frozen beef patty and bagged bun, but it looked fresh. Both. I'm sorry I didn't take any pictures. I have been coming here for years and never experienced such awful service, until last night. Our food came out cold, not once but twice!! Our waiter then proceeded to slap our full price ticket down on our table and walk away. The owner was watching this entire situation and proceeded to ignore unhappy customers, while his employees were being so disrespectful to us for asking to warm our food up. This place has a nice and inviting atmosphere. Chips and salsa were really good. On recommendation of wait staff, we ordered the two most popular dishes here. One a trio of meats. All pretty good, but the camarones al diablo were weird and offputting. They tasted sweet and reminiscent of chef boyardee. Gross. They had no heat and when we mentioned it, the waiter said it is made with ketchup. He offered to exchange it for us, but that's not our thing. Kind gesture, just beware, it is definitely not Al Diablo, more, Al Ketchup. Bacon wrapped shrimp, while good, tasted more American than Mexican. Garibaldi's made me super happy tonight. We wanted to sit outside due to COVID concerns, and their outdoor deck with festive strung lights was SO lovely. It was a perfect warm summer night! I recommend the Garibaldis enchilada which was delicious! Our server was so sweet to my kids and accommodating to their "special requests" ;) She brought us complimentary dessert (fried tortilla, honey, whipped cream, sugar and cinnamon) at the end of the meal. I'm giving this place 4 stars based on a few things: stellar service from Amelia, the spicy salsa, the melt-in-your-mouth crispy and chewy quesadilla, and the one-will-do-it custom margarita. Now, I was skeptical when I first sauntered up to the bar/cantina, because I asked Amelia if she could make me a custom margarita; she seemed confused and concerned, but once I spelled out the basic requirements: Herradura, a squeeze of orange, Cadillac style and no salt please, she went to work and presented me with the tastiest margarita I've had in YEARS. I recently moved to Florida and a good marg has been hard to come by, sadly, but this one blew me out of the water. I gushed to Amelia how much I loved it, and then she became by new best friend, confessing she was worried I wouldn't like it. She proceeded to make menu suggestions, checking on me frequently and even giving me a small tasty dessert, even though I had insisted "no puedo". What a delight this experience was, and should I crave another margarita in my next few weeks of living in twin falls, I know exactly where to come. To be fair: I will mention I did not care for the chips (kinda stale and unsalted) or the refried beans (gritty and not much flavor). Refried beans have a special place in my food heart, and I tend to judge a place by them, along with the salsa and guacamole. So 2 outta 3 ain't bad, Garibaldi's. read more

Ok Mexican... Might be a good spot if you prefer tex-mex to authentic. I had tamales (shredded beef). They were hardly edible. They were over done and dry. In what I assume was an attempt to compensate for the dryness, they were served in an "enchiladas" style with a red sauce and CHEESE melted on top. This I could have possibly looked past had it been Oaxaca, but it was orange cheddar cheese. In all my years I can say that I've never eaten tamales with any kind of cheese on top... And outside of the U.S. I've never seen cheddar cheese served in Mexican cuisine, Needless to say... I didn't finish my meal. On the plus side of this establishment they served good chips and salsa (they even give you a refried bean dip), the bar is set up with TVs for watching the games, the staff was all friendly, and they seem to be able to accommodate large groups without slowing service to other patrons. read more

The name sounds like an Italian food spot, but here in Twin Falls Garabaldis has been a staple of mexican food for several years. Many of the people employed by the resaurant have worked here for many years. The food is very good and is deserving of 4 stars. The decor is very nice and they have an outdoor patio area that is a great place to eat, especially on a nice summer day. The service is OK, nothing spacial. Their inital platter of chips were not very tasty - in fact quite greasy. The salsa and bean dip was fine but the chips were a major letdown. The other letdown was the house margarita. Poor tequila and a sour mix that did not enhance the drink at all .... ( am I spoiled drinking in So Cal ?? ) A nice spot for lunch or dinner with an extensive menu. To bad all of the meal did not match the quality of the food. read more

Food is O.K. Service is usually very good. Prices are so-so. Been going there for several years. Backed off as food seems very processed and had a weird taste. Lard or tallow in it? Even the margaritas seem like they are a processed mix. Sometimes, a revision and honest assessment of your food and drink is in order, and this may be what is needed for Garibaldi's. I originally found Garibaldi's back in 1997 after my Mexican co-workers what restaurant had the most authentic food. Since I was the only white girl working among TRUE Mexicans and I was fed many an authentic meal by my co-workers and their wives and have been to MANY a Quinceanera and MEXICAN party so trust me, I KNOW good, authentic Mexican food and Garibaldi's is MOST definitely AUTHENTIC Mexican and it is Always delicious!! The re-fried beans they serve with their Chips & Salsa is THE BEST (I ask for Salsa Verde to switch it up)!!! Their Fajita's are amazing, the Jalisco Burrito is HUGE and never disappoints,and the Taco's al Carbon are a light, fresh, tasty option as well! As for me, my ultimate favorite is Arroz Con Pollo (Chicken sauted with grilled onions & mushrooms, served on a bed of Mexican rice, and covered in a tasty red sauce & Melted Colby Jack Chz....) you should try it!! If you like shrimp, order the Camarones Filete "Costeno", SUPER Yummy bacon wrapped goodness!! It really isn't great or terrible. Really depends on the day. The margaritas are delicious. Don't like the fajitas, the chimichangas are good as well as burritos and enchiladas. but who could trust our judgement were just locals without all the fan fare of the people who come through our town. I wish I could live in the place they are all from where the gourmet food must flow like mana from heaven. It is an inexpensive mexican joint. Pretty much the same as the ones in Newport Beach, Las Vegas, Las Angeles, Spokane, Seattle, and the other places I travel to a lot.
