My parents and I went for lunch right before the lunch special cut off time of 3:00 pm on a Thursday. My Dad ordered the Super Burrito with carne asada . Mom and I shared the lunch fajitas with chicken. The food was absolutely delicious. Even the chips and beans and salsa were really good. The regular house blended margarita had an excellent flavor. Not like some we've had an other Mexican restaurants. The restaurant was very clean and had a great atmosphere. Loved the music too. So to set the mood for you, me and my fiancée walked in to "Mi Tierra" at 11:20ish. Right before the lunch rush. It was just us in the establishment along with the waitress. We were seated and the first thing we noticed were the booths. They were definitely dated (which we don't really care about but just to clarify) and they had tears from being sat in so much that it was unusually noticeable. The waitress was of average service. She brought us chips, salsa and refried beans that were slightly burnt so the taste was off just a tad. She let us have some time to peruse the menu and another thing we noticed almost immediately was the pricing. For being in Twin Falls, Idaho these prices were more akin to Seattle. Pretty pricey for a Mexican-American restaurant. This is your standard "authentic" Mexican food restaurant that you can find in almost all towns across the United States. Now to be fair when the food did arrive (which was in a timely manner) it was very large portions so that may have had something to do with the prices. My personal opinion was it was pretty standard tasting for what I ordered but it definitely "hit the spot". My fiancée was very impressed with her burrito (The Famoso). She said it tasted really good! She did order a side of sour cream that was $3 and she barely used it (my own complaint haha). All in all, this is your average Mexican-American restaurant. There is not really anything that separates this establishment from any others in the area. If you're looking for a nice, sit down spot for lunch and want what you're used to finding, when it comes to Mexican food, this is your place! read more

Mi Tierra is located in downtown Twin Falls. Downtown is a cute little area with many shops & restaurants & breweries to choose from. The furniture at Mi Tierra is a little outdated; our booth had a pretty big tear on one of the cushions. Regardless, we we're greeted & served by very friendly & attentive staff. We ordered Triple Meat Fajitas, and El Patron Especial. The fajitas were sizzling and the flavor was very good. The steak however was slightly over cooked. Tortillas were tasteful & warm but not homemade. Rice, beans & salsa were served as a side and were delicious. The patron especial is Carne Asada with Shrimp plate and your sides of rice, beans & guacamole. I ordered the shrimp ala diabla style. I was disappointed in the ala diabla sauce as it's a very fiery sauce made from dried up chiles however this dish was not spicy at all. Overall the food had great flavors & spices. read more

Delicious, fast lunch. Complimentary chips, salsa, and refried beans always a bonus. I got the flautas and they were awesome. The guac on the plate was super delish. Fantastic little corner restaurant. I had the Chipotle Chicken and Joe had spinach enchiladas with side salad. The chipotle dish was recommended by the super friendly staff. I love their drink selection. I had a Mangonada drink! Never even thought of that. They also have Cantaritos and Casuelas! Very clean and nice decor. The girl that greeted us at the door was friendly and the server was very attentive and made several recommendations for Joe since he is vegeterian and cannot eat certain spices. I don't know why, but we've avoided this place for two years... Maybe it's the location, signage, but we have never been intrigued until that was all there was one night. The place is clean inside, but not so inviting because of the shotgun house layout. The menu is ample, chips and salsa are good. Our meals were good too...subdued on seasoning, but still good. I didn't even Yelp this place before I ate here. Just saw a random Mexican restaurant and decided my stomach could wait no longer. But it was a great choice! The staff was really friendly. I loved the decor and music (both Mexican themed). I loved that they had WWE Monday Night Raw on the TV. The chips and salsa were great. This is one of the best and most authentic Mexican restaurants I have eaten at. My girlfriend wanted to come because of the Michelada. We were happy to find the menu was just as good. We ordered the crab enchiladas, shrimp tacos, and the aguachiles. The food was the most authentic and the best I've had since eating in Philly. We went to several different Mexican restaurants on the way to Idaho in midde America and even a place that was featured on Food Network, but this was much better. My family was traveling to Yellowstone and came into Idaho at 8:45pm. There wasn't much to choose from for restaurants. We came across the best Mexican food ever!
