There is a dress code (and a posted code of conduct), which I appreciate. It's a good excuse to dress up a little more and act a little more classy (is that ever a bad thing). The drinks are well balanced, unique, and delicious (and, there's pages of them)! The decor is fun (there's lots to look at), and I love the low lighting and no-phones policy. It reminds you to stay present! Shout out to Sean: Sean is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also such a kind and personable bartender. He made the experience extra special by giving us the perfect (and I mean perfect) drink recommendations our first time here. Andrea also gave us some fun insight on the drink names and history of Roost 374. I hope this place has years of success to come. Thank you Roost team for making this place as wonderful as it is!

We loved the hostess who made the whole thing feel so lucrative and she even took some photos of us in the waiting room before we had to put our phones away for inside. We had made reservations ahead of time but they placed us at the bar which was a bummer because there were definitely still tables available. Inside is cool with eccentric decor. The overall vibe though tailored an older crowd and not so much people in their 20's. There were a lot of drink options but not a lot of of that sweet and fun that I prefer. It's more sophisticated cocktails. Some staff reminded me to not have my phone out when I was clearly taking a picture of the receipt for my friend and I and that was upsetting. How do you expect me to remember prices and what we ordered lol Also there is no snacks other than like nuts and cheeses.

Also appreciated the recommendations for food & wine pairings. As for the food let's get into it: - Seafood Tower (8/10) Great start to the meal, oysters were on point, everything else was just okay. - Pickle Fried Onion Rings (9/10) Anything pickle always gets me, but these were amazing. Would def order again. - Steak Board (9/10) Believe we ordered two of these. Pricey but worth it, steak was cooked perfectly and came with a few recommended sauces. Overall I would say it was a great experience. Highly recommend getting the suite/room if you have a big party. Parking might be tricky but it's a very nice/walkable area of San Clemente. Would I go again? Absolutely!

I wasn't impressed with the 35 day dry aged ribeye, it wasn't tender at all, tough and chewy and 3 of us ordered it. Disappointing because this place came highly recommended. My friends and I about once a year go to a good steak place. We were really looking forward to this place. 5 of us, $900 including tip. Service: We were seated at 5:30p, took about 30m for someone to come and bring us water, we were seated outside on a hot day, they must not believe in cold water with ice cuz we got neither. Another 30m went by and he finally took our order but just staters. Waiter was kinda pushy about the cold appetizers I finally had to say no, just these, then he left again. We were ready to order but he left and we didn't see him for another 30ish. Finally took our dinner order. Took over 2 hrs to get our dinner only to be very disappointed. I read and was told the service was poor. Guess management doesn't care cuz people still show up. I won't be one.

Our waitress name was Claire and we hit the jackpot. So personable, friendly and made the night super special. We also met the manager/operator Joe. He made us feel like we were weekly locals and welcomed us with open arms! We want to come back ASAP just to see Claire and Joe again! Special people. The food, OMG this place is such a gem. We started with the Herloom Tomato Burrata appetizer which was very good. This fresh tomatoes (which needed a pinch more of some crunchy sea salt) with a light pesto, micro greens and burrata. Perfect combo eating bites with the grilled sourdough they bring along side. If you have Claire she'll bring you fresh butter and hot honey. Pro tip!!! This combo is undefeatable. And the wings. They are all half flats, extra crispy in a spicy and sweet sauce. Very very yummy. That blue cheese needs a little thickening but besides that, FIRE! Next we got the Organic Arugula salad with hazelnuts, shaved pecorino and mint. Damn this salad was sleeper hit. Eat it with your pizza, the richness needs something to cut through it, this salad! We got the wild mushroom Pizza which Claire recommended, which ABSOLUTELY blew me away. So perfect crispy yet perfectly chewy at the same time. I think this is my new fav pizza in all of OC. Lucky me I live 1.7 miles away. OMG ya'll this pizza is worth a 2 hour drive to get here! To end the meal for my birthday they surprised us with a Panna Cotta. Beautiful like a perfect creme bruele in a latte cup topped with a nut sort of crumble and a mint leaf. PERFECT ending to an absolutely perfect meal. Thank you Parlor for making my 48th birthday one to remember. We cannot wait to come back soon.

He sadly passed away recently and his memorial is this weekend, so we tried to go to Lost Inferno to celebrate him with all his high school and college friends. We called in advance and the person we spoke to said we couldn't make a reservation unless we could guarantee 20 people, but we could walk in with a smaller group no problem. Of course we got there right when they opened and they told us they couldn't seat us for an hour. We joined the wait list and walked to a bar a couple doors down waiting for the text that our table was ready. We received a text that our table would be ready at a specific time and then 2 minutes before our table was supposed to be ready we get a text saying we were removed from the wait list with no clarification or follow up. I understand being busy/booked up, but I would have liked to have received accurate information. We could have made reservations online if we had been told. I wore his favorite Goonies Hawaiian shirt and everything expecting to have a nice time talking about my husband. I guess I'm glad we never had the opportunity to experience this level of service with my husband, and guess I won't be back seeing that he's dead and all. Edited to add tips - don't believe anything they tell you on the phone and if you really want to go, make a reservation, and apparently they will close for you if you can guarantee 20 people.

First thing we ordered was margaritas and I had to get the mango for I wanna say a dollar or two dollar more from the Happy Hour prices which was fine because I love a good mango margarita. Worth the price and it was goooddd. strong but good flavor and that tajin rim. We got a couple of appetizer, chips and salsa was included when we sat down but we wnated more food. It's a girls much needed debriefing time on our life and this place was it, Such a vibe, great food and great company, plus it wasn't too much when we got there. The experience starts before you even get upstairs. The staircase is covered wall to wall in vintage Japanese artwork and pop culture prints with colorful parasols hanging overhead. They even had Ultraman and Doraemon up there! Super cute! Sherman was our server and Emily made us some delicious cocktails. The menu maybe small but the hand rolls we tried were all fresh and tasty. Their hand rolls aren't the traditional cone shaped ones you're probably used to. They're served more open-style, almost like little sushi tacos with crispy nori folded around the rice and filling. I was also curious about the meaning behind the name and found out a fun fact: it translates to "The Blind Rabbit." And yes, if you're wondering like I was, there is a connection to The Blind Rabbit in Anaheim! They're located in the same building as The Lost Inferno with Momoku upstairs. We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back! A fun and refreshing concept, definitely come check them out!

Right off the bat, I loved the vibe and ambiance of the space; it had more of an intimate feel to it with all the dim lighting, but not too dim that you couldn't see your food anymore. He was nice, friendly and was very kind enough to share his recommendations. The food was okay. It's definitely an elevated Mexican restaurant, but the dishes were a bit of a hit or miss. What we tried: House Chips & Salsa - 5/5 Filet Mignon Tacos - 4.5/5 Signature Carne Asada - 4.5/5 Crispy Carnitas - 3.5/5 House Made Horchata - 3/5 We loved the complimentary chips & salsa they serve you while you wait for your order--their salsa was the BOMB. I was also very happy with my Filet Mignon Tacos and the Signature Carne Asada--the steaks were cooked to perfection in both dishes. They were so delicious and every bite was just *chef's kiss*. The Crispy Carnitas was kinda meh though. It was tasty, but the pork was tough and dry, making it a little hard to eat. I wasn't a big fan of their horchata either--it had this chalky/powdery texture that didn't sit right with me. It tasted good, just not the texture for me. Overall, I think we're still quite happy with our experience here. I would love to try their other dishes for sure.

My chilaquiles had black beans, not mentioned in the menu description; great surprise. There was supposed to be sour cream on my chilaquiles and there wasn't any. I started with a Minchilada, which unfortunately didn't have much flavor. The rim was coated in more of a Cajun-style/ old bay seasoning rather than the traditional Southern California Tajín and lime. For my meal, I ordered the poke bowl. The tuna was decent, and I actually liked the sauce that came on the side to pour over it. However, the rice was a big miss, it was very stiff, cold, and tasted like it had been sitting for a while. The bowl also could have used a few more wonton chips. The location itself is cute and makes for a nice place to sit and have a meal, especially if you're coming into San Clemente by train. I just wouldn't come here with particularly high expectations for the food. The service was good and brought everything out in timely manner.
