I wonder if they have stock in Morton Salt? EVERYTHING is so salty it is inedible. Fish & Chips: batter is salty, Calamari: Batter is salty, and more peppers than calamari, Haddock Poor Boy: WHO, the F ever heard of a Poorboy served on a brioche bun, much less with a layer of cheese on it??? Jamison's has a really awesome outdoor tent that is being utilized during COVID for those who may not feel comfortable going inside. Their menu during covid-19 is also especially impressive with a wide variety of soups, salads, fish, and meat dishes. Drinks leaned a little on the sweeter side but the staff were nice and the weekend offered up some live music. I really loved the beet salad and fried green tomatoes which filled me up while not leaving me feeling heavy after our meal. Jamison's is a well known spot for Hampstead locals so I recommend people passing by give this place a shot if you're in the area. read more

Three orders not one was correct despite reading back what they were on pickup. Chicken was lamb, lettuce was asparagus, side queso was mac and cheese? Have been here a few times and all were disappointing. Called to let them know and just dropped discussion as could tell it was a young worker who had no idea how to handle the situation and was not the one at fault. Obvious poor management or front line worker would have known they could pass on the call. Try elsewhere for sure. read more

Jamison's - Avoid this place like the plague!! I made a large reservation for about 15 people 3 weeks in advance. I spoke with a manager regarding my reservation 3 different times, including about 3 hours before our dinner time. She assured me everything was all set. We show up and "there's no record" of my reservation. For 15 people. The staff was rude AF and completely unhelpful. When the manager came over, a different manager than I spoke to on the phone, he was like "I don't know what you want me to do". Are you kidding me???? On a separate occasion, a friend specifically told the waiter she had a dairy allergy and ordered a dish with no cheese. Came out covered in cheese. She sent it back and ordered a flatbread pizza with no cheese instead. Came out covered in cheese again. When she addressed the waiter about the dairy issue again - they literally just scraped the cheese off the pizza and gave it back to her!!!! Like OMG do you not understand allergies and cross contamination?? Jameson's has horrible service from rude people and they can't even handle making a plate of food without cheese. My wife and I tried this place on a Saturday around 4pm before we went to a movie. Walking in, the place was very clean and nice. Mostly table tops with a few traditional tables, TV's everywhere, very large bar and huge beer selection. My wife commented how cold (temperature) the place was, and I agreed. Kept my coat on the entire meal. The place looks like it can get loud due to the concrete floors and general design choices. There also appeared to be a stage where live music would be. Food was fantastic, but I thought 1-3$ overpriced on the items we ordered (Egg roll appetizer, brick oven chick, salmon). I posted multiple pictures if you want to have a look. Overall we enjoyed the place and I think we'd go back. Pricing needs a bit of tweaking in my opinion, but otherwise glad to have another option in the local area. read more

My wife and I did a take-out order and paid $55 for food that unfortunately was so poorly prepared and presented, it went into the trash. I certainly expected more, but EVERY aspect of the meals were messed up. The kitchen totally messed this up. read more

I have been to Jamison's a couple of times in the past, but last night was the first time I sat in the dining room side. The food I have ordered has been pretty good. I recall the first time I went there they had this really nice Veal Milanese on the menu, and the only thing I thought would have made it better was the addition of fresh mozzarella or Burrata. Unfortunately I no longer find that on the menu. Last night I dined there with 3 others. We ordered the charcuterie board, which was pretty good. One of our party ordered clam chowder that he very much enjoyed, though it did not appear as creamy as New England Clam Chowder normally is. The entree's were Cutler Classic, a chopped steak tip sandwich, which was good. The mashed potatoes were excellent, Fish and Chips that was said to be very good, the Open Faced Lamb Gyro, good, yet a bit small, and Chicken and Waffles which looked very impressive coming out, and was said to be good, but when the request was made for maple syrup, which everyone wants w chicken and waffles, the waitress said "i don't know if we have any", but then came out w a bottle of the fake stuff. All in all, a great place to have in Hampstead which does not have much in the way of good food. Now I must speak to the decor. What the heck happened there? In the bar section everything is cohesive. In the dining room however, it looks like someone when decor shopping drunk. NOTHING goes together. Now I know many don't notice such things, but as a designer and design instructor for decades, I notice. The first thing that hits you like a ton of bricks is the lighting. Albeit beautiful, it is fancy crystal circular chandeliers all over the ceiling and crystal wall sconces on the walls. Now if you want to run w such an upscale look, the painted black brick works w the crystal, however nothing else does, nor does nothing else even work together. There is a blue tufted wall behind some of the seating, which matches w nothing, and the upholstery on the chairs, also matches w nothing, and certainly is not in keeping w the crystal chandeliers. Then out of nowhere there is a brick to maroon paint on some of the walls. This color matches w nothing. This could be a beautiful space w a clear direction and coordination. As is, I just don't know what happened. read more

Go somewhere else. Disappointing service, food quality downhill in last 6 months on restaurant side over several visits. In what world is it ok to serve overcooked, completely burned food to a customer then charge more than posted on the menu?!? And, service so slow, customers are getting up several times to put their own empty plates on an adjacent table or seek out someone to pay the bill. Food served barely warm, not hot. Yet prices are higher. Sad! The menu is inventive, but, it's just unrealistic fantasy when service and execution are so poor. Think twice before walking in restaurant. To play it safe i pair my salmon with soda water but i noticed the skinny margarita was made without simple syrup as well as strawberry flavored! Score! This is my second trip here. Love the bar side have yet to experience the dining room side. If they could only get all items on both sides I would be thrilled. The meatloaf Wellington was good not great . The shell needs to be figured out. The staff both times we good. Atmosphere is very nice, TV's everywhere! Live music on Friday's & Saturday's I believe. Too pricey for the quality of food. I've tried the burgers, nothing special. Caesar Salad barely came with any cheese or dressing. The Shepard's Pie was weird, It was more like Shepard's Soup, tasted very strange, will never order that again. Buffalo wings were Excellent. Lots of potential here, but lots of small fails in execution that makes it miss the mark. Great beer selection and portion size. Good for the food wasteland that is Hampstead, but would be a fail anywhere else. The taco pizza had lots of flavors, but was either held for service of our other items or was served on a cold plate. The edge was crisp, but the underside had a cold dampness that took the greatness away. The meatloaf Wellington also had lots of potential, but the puff pastry shell wasn't puffed and tasted doughy. It felt as though it had been allowed to come to temp melting the butter in the dough in the kitchen before being baked. The mushroom gravy was very nice. Really glad we decided to try this place out. Came with a party of 5 on a busy evening and had a great experience. Server was super attentive and food was delicious, which is saying a lot because multiple people in my party are very picky. The steak tips were amazing, super flavorful, all the dishes were plated well. Got several apps that we split, nachos were bomb. We hit Jamison's for date night often. Rather than waiting for a table, we usually snag a couple seats at the bar. You can see a tv from any seat on the bar side- great for sports fans. We have never been on the restaurant side. The bartenders are always consistent and attentive. The chef came out to check if I had an allergy to tomato's because I'd asked for my meal to come without them (so he would know not to add ketchup to my plate as well). I thought it was very thorough of him even though I didn't have an allergy. They have a good selection of draft beer, but I usually try one of the pretty martinis on their seasonal specials list since I'm not a beer fanatic. We've never had a bad meal, long wait time, felt ignored or disrespected. We will continue to come back. read more

We have been dining here for 5 years, tonight we ordered Calamari, we could not eat it, so over cooked, we asked to speak to the manager, he came 45 minutes later and proceeded to scream at us and said he was under staffed and he was doing the best he could, he walked away and never apologized for any thing.
