However, I had such a great first experience with Dr. Vasanth and Paola that I have to give credit where credit is due. My first visit was just for a routine cleaning, and the scheduling + new patient forms were all quite easy to do on their website. I also received a few reminder texts in the days leading up to the appointment. From the get-go, it was evident Dr. V and Paola had taken the time to properly review my insurance plan, as they made recommendations for x-rays and upcoming visits based on my plan benefits and timing. Paola also pointed out fluoride was not covered by my insurance before asking me whether I wanted it or not for my cleaning - this attention to detail and transparency is above and beyond what I've experienced at other dentists. As for the cleaning itself, Dr. V handled it thoroughly and with a gentle touch, while consistently checking throughout to make sure I was comfortable. She has a very bubbly, friendly personality and is super easy to talk to as well. Overall, just a very pleasant experience and I'm so glad I found this place to be my team for all things dental.

I've been to other offices where it feels like they're pushing you into doing procedures that aren't necessary and you kind of feel as if you're just a wad of cash to them, but I did not feel like that at all at Dr. Huang's office. I inquired about Saturday appointments, but Carolina said they do not have cleaning appointments on Saturdays; the office designates only a few spots during the week for cleanings. This has been such a frustrating experience. My dental needs are pretty basic, just 2 cleanings per year, and Dental Ease cannot provide this. Since I cannot get a cleaining appointment until a year after my last one, I am looking to find a different group. 1 star extra: Krista, the office manager, is wonderful and holds the office together. She explains things clearly, especially when it comes to insurance issues, and is very helpful to minimize a patient's out-of-pocket expense. Without her, I probably would have switched much earlier.
