I've been with many dentals, this is the first time I felt so silly waste of time I scheduled one hour time to do a cleaning there, drived there on time. They required to fill a long survey which is fine. Then they asked do a x-ray scan although I already forwarded my previous x-ray completed few months to them. They insisted the old x-ray is not they way they wanted. The x-ray machine didn't work at beginning, it had to be reset a couple times to perform. After x-ray then hygienist did a gum check, and told me I need a deep cleaning and but there was only 15 minutes left of my appointment, demanded me to schedule another time to come. My husband had some dental work done there. Three weeks later, his filling fell out. I called the office and they made a new appointment for him to repair the filling then I received a bill for the repair. I called and said my insurance paid for the first appointment and we shouldn't be charged for a filling that only lasted three weeks. The lady on the phone said, "well insurance won't pay for the repairs". I said, "why should they, it was placed incorrectly if it fell out after 3 weeks". My dental hygienist Stephanie is totally deserving of a 5-star rating for her meticulous attention to detail. But the front office disappointed me when they called me in for a subsequent "consultation" without letting me know that my insurance would not cover the excessive cost for a 10-minute quick peek-in-my-mouth by an orthodontist. And while I'm not a fan of fillings, crowns, and all those other things that come with a childhood of eating sweets I do appreciate the fact that Dr. Bronzini goes easy on the novocaine and only shoots you up when absolutely necessary. This was my 1st ever visit to the Bronzini Dental Group practice in Millbrae. I had the pleasure of having Dr. Bronzini Sr. as Dentist. The Front desk staff is very professional, customer service friendly and uses the right amount of technology to collect all your data. Dr. Bronzini Sr was excellent, with great hands, and explained what was happening as I progressed through my visit. The Dental Hygienist was also really good and thorough with the cleaning. The checking out process was really efficient and I dealt with someone who understood the dental insurance process, which is always helpful. Terrible. I don't like giving bad reviews, but after writing this I realize how bad this is. The office is modern, state of the art. Great, but what really counts is how well you do your job. The dental hygienist I saw was about 80 years old, which wouldn't be a problem except that I don't think she could see very well. She just kept saying how nice my teeth were, which is unusual. I've never gotten that compliment before, and certainly not from anyone in dentistry. She also asked me five times whether or not I floss. Clearly she memory issues. But again, the main problem is that she didn't do a good job at cleaning my teeth! My teeth didn't feel smooth and polished afterwards like they do now (just had them cleaned by a great dentist). The exam by the elder Dr. Bronzini was quick and mostly consisted of him also saying how nice my teeth are. I also had X-rays done on this fancy machine that you have to stand up in. Had to go back a second time because it wasn't done properly the first time. Didn't enjoy biting that metal bit at all! Now to top it all off, at the END of my visit, they tell me my insurance only covered very little of their ridiculously priced X-rays and terrible cleaning job and that I owed them over $400! Sorry. What?!? Why didn't they tell me that at the beginning of the visit or at the time I made the appointment?!?!? I know I don't have the greatest insurance and that's not their fault, but it would have been nice to know in advance how inflated their prices are. Ok, none of this is the worst of it. The worst of it is that I switched to a more reasonable PREVENTIVE dentist who showed me two cavities in the mirror! I've only had one other cavity as a kid 20 years ago! Cavities don't happen overnight! Dr. Bronzini and his team didn't do a good job examining my teeth. Maybe they were waiting for the cavity to grow so I'd need a root canal $$$$$ read more

Overall, I'm happy with the practice. My dentist Dr. Rey is gentle and pleasant when I visit. I do wish they would up the comfort of the exam rooms a bit. I recently switched dentists to come here, and have seen several in the past few years. The chairs here are not comfortable, nor do they have many of the upgrades I've seen and appreciated at other offices (TV/DVD/music etc). It's nice to be distracted from someone prying in your mouth. They are very good about working around my schedule and have great hours. I do wish they weren't quite so pushy on appointment times. I'm on the go all the time, and unless I have an emergency I make my appointment when I can go. I get a LOT of calls asking if I want to come in at different times. I also get at least 2-3 reminder calls about my appt. Efficient on their part, annoying on mine. The front staff are always super friendly though. Lastly, if you're on a budget or don't have insurance - check their pricing. I've found it high. read more

I'm a dental white knuckler. Despise going to the dentist. Despise. And I had been going to a dentist in foster city because he had great Yelp reviews. But I hated it. Skipped appointments. My husband found the Bronzini group through someone at work and he dislikes all doctor appointments. So I decided I would try them. From the moment I walked in, it was above expectations. Crystal, at the front desk, realized who I was in relation to my husband. She scheduled me with the same dentist. That still did not abate my trepidation. It wasn't until about 5 minutes with the hygienist, Jen, that I knew this was a very good place. She explained every step and they use procedures that I never had at my previous dentist. She understood my hesitation about X-rays due to radiation from cancer treatments. Never pushed. I honestly had a great time. And I never thought I would say that about teeth cleaning. Dr. Rey was precisely what I needed. Very easy and laid back. Discussed things I wanted to fix and simply said he'd have the front office work on it and let me know at my next appointment. Never sold on things my previous dentist always "strongly recommended". He sensed I was time crunched although I had not said a word to anyone and said we could do the pictures they do to visibly show patients things at a later time. This is my type of dentistry. And I did do all the X-rays. My insurance covered it all. I have another appointment in a few weeks and I'm not dreading it. read more

Who likes going to the dentist? With the possibility of hearing that we might have a cavity or two or worse. I think it's safe to say we all grew up eating a lot of sweets. I know I did. Unfortunately, there are always consequences with each action we take in life and I ended up with quite a few cavities. Needless to say, I dreaded going to the dentist growing up which resulted in a root canal from all the lovely cavities that I had. Taking care of my cavities and root canal was my awful dentist in Hawaii. I abhor him as once he pulled out all my wisdom teeth which I swear was not a dental practice that he should have been doing. I spent 4 hours in his practice, left with cut up lips and cheeks. He said it was "normal." Moving from Hawaii I needed to find a dentist that I trusted and take care of my pearly whites without causing unnecessary damage to my body. I am so glad that I found Bronzini Dental Group. I knew based on the interior of the office that they took care of their patients. Clean, modern, soothing with friendly and helpful staff. Not to mention that they have very accomodating hours for those of us who work full time. Open on Saturdays too! It is a family practice so all the "Bronzini's are related to one another. My dentist is Dr. Chris. Personable, knowledgeable and best of all, hasn't done bodily harm to me. Dr. Chris put me at ease when I had to place a crown over the tooth where I had a root canal procedure from before. It was a seamless and painless procedure. The hygenists here are great too. I always request to have Barbara clean my teeth. Patient, friendly, and does a great job. When you are done with the dental clean, they don't just give you a toothbrush, you get a care package. This package comes with a toothbrush, floss, toothpaste and great discounts for your dental hygiene. I am so glad that I found a dentist in my neighborhood that I do not dread going to. I am very disappointed with the service. I came to this office on 10/24/2019, was referred by an acquaintance. Now I am regretting as I am sitting here in pain and discomfort. I do not have dental insurance, paid for services in cash. I needed a crown on 31, first Dr Chris Bronzini evaluated me, even if I told them my symptoms and forwarded a letter from a previous endodontic arts of San Francisco recommendation for treatment. Dr Bronzini recommends Dr Jerry Lin an endodontics to evaluate as well. Then Dr Lin recommends a crown, wow surprise, meanwhile, I've been charge fees. After Dr Lin stated the crown he made come back 3 more times to complete the crown. After 1 month. I continue to feel the pain and discomfort. So Dr Lin made appointment for me to come and see him at his practice. I asked Dr Lin if I gad an infection he replied no I didn't. After the first appointment at his own practice he made me come back 3 additional times injection and constantly drilling my tooth. Finally I asked him why are you drilling so much? He didn't replied and said that he was going to close it. I asked why did I have to be put through this 7 times and don't know why. The last time I was at his office was on March 09, 2020. After a week I am back to feeling pain and discomfort. Dr. Chris Bronzini calles and tells me that I was lucky they didn't charge me for all those visits. That possibly I need to extract the tooth. So far, so good. Dr. Ray and the dental staff are all happy, bubbly, and knowledgeable. Meralda (sp?) did an amazing job cleaning my teeth. They're definitely not your grumpy, hometown dentist! I felt really bad about rushing them due to my tight Caltrain schedule but they were extremely respectful of my time and not at all rude about it. As for the office staff - these ladies are hard-working and responsive. Sue helped me snag an 8am appointment during one of their busiest periods. I took off one star because they could be a little friendlier and welcoming (e.g. "Asia" who always looks unhappy or annoyed). Like one of the other reviewers mentioned, they're very pushy about scheduling. I can't commit to dates six months in advance due to my job so they should be more respectful of that. Overall, though, the point of a visit is to receive good dental care, so I'm a fan of this place. read more

I have had the good fortune of meeting all the staff and I always walk out of their office with a smile on my face. I recently had dental implant surgery, my surgeon Dr.Jennifer J. Liu, DDS., MD is wondeful. She is very honest and will tell you upfront the pros and cons of the surgery. She is fair, gentle and caring. Bronzini says "oh we decided to hold on to your money for your next visit." me "well that would have been fine but that's not what you told me you were going to do. if you as business suggest and then we agree on what were going to do especially with my money then that's the action." need less to say they were unhappy about the return of an overcharge. I was at this time acting on principle i wanted my money back. approx month i received the overcharge..thank you and finally. several months later yes it was time to see the dentist again (and yes i returned to bronzini) the oral surgeon only works on Thursday i really like her shes wonderful.... the front desk and management is lacking. they told me i had to go in before my appointment to sign paperwork that they did not have for me anymore. i told them this is quite impossible as i work on the opposite side of the bay and to leave for 3hrs to sign a paper that was your error is not going to work. why couldn't i sign it the day of the appointment? they said new policy. after many calls and discussions they said fine but you have to prepay the entire appointment today over the phone if you want to keep your scheduled time. i couldn't believe my ears i have never heard of such a thing to keep my appointment i had to prepay???? very unethical bad business doing scalywags!!! also i didn't mention this but when they did the x-rays they repeatedly were saying "no i don't know how to work this new machine" 3 x-rays later and 3 technicians later the last one says "geez these aren't very good either i hope they can use them" wtf my head was glowing with radiation I'm sure!! bronzini=no bueno read more

After going through the rigmarole of medicare/medical dental for my mother in law, and deeming it disappointingly substandard, e.g. a 3 month wait? What? Seriously??? Teeth have been known to rot in half that time, but to be fair, I guess they're doing the best they can with the funding allocated to them. Stellar experience here for my mother in law, who my husband took for her surgery. She went in for the procedure on her 85th birthday, and not having had a surgical thing before, she was nervous ... when she walked in, the staff sang "Happy Birthday" to her and one of the staff, a wonderful kindly woman, took a rose from the bunch her husband had given her, and handed it to my mother in law, making her feel special and infinitely more at ease. The surgery itself went off without a hitch, they monitored her blood pressure, and sent her home with detailed instructions plus an antibiotic for a pre-existing infection. The follow-up appt was just as easy, in and out with a breeze, appt on time, during which the dentist identified 6 fillings plus other work, took the time to show her, set up another appt. In all, a positive experience with the cost being reasonable for the quality and extensive nature of the work. I have had a great experience @ the Bronzini Dental Office. The staff has been nothing but helpful with me, I have a work schedule that changes minute by minute. They have been very flexible with my schedule. They also are open early Saturdays and they are a one stop shop, everything in one place. i was having some issues with my insurance and the operations manager helped me out. I had to write a review for Dr. Nicolas Bronzini of the Bronzini Dental Group. We had an emergency when our 2.5 year old son fell and smashed his teeth on the concrete. Needless to say there was lots of blood and screaming but when I looked at his teeth, they were moving around in his gums like they were in jello. I was horrified especially since he's our only child and this was our first bad accident. I called my pediatrician who gave me the name of another dentist in S. SF. But he wasn't available and referred me to Dr. Nick. I called their office about 11:45am on a Friday and they told me to come in right away. They had parking right in front and came out to greet us when we pulled up. The staff was perfect and so very warm during our traumatic experience. They didn't make me fill out all the forms until my son was under control. We were apparently there during their lunch time since the office was unusually quite with no other patients. Dr. Nick was wonderful. He saw us immediately, calmed me and my son down. He examined my son and made a recommendation that the teeth needed to be pulled. We went over all the details of what to expect before hand. Then he gently and carefully took care of my son. I am so grateful to Dr. Nick and his wonderful staff for staying during lunch to help us with our problem. Within just about over an hour, my son was sleeping peacefully in the car on our way home. He was also ready to play again within two hours! Also, Dr. Nick called us later that day and the next day (on a Saturday) to check on our son and make sure he was doing fine. He repeatedly offered us to call his service anytime day or night if there was a problem. Wow, Dr. Nick... you are the best! Thank you so much Dr. Nick and your wonderful staff! There always seems to be something that I haven't been happy with but because they have been our family dentist for so long I've looked past the long waits, lack of communication between the many receptionists, dropping the ball when follow up is needed with insurance, insensitive cleaning job from a hygienist, etc. My husband stopped going there years ago, and now I've had the final straw. I am 59 years old, for most of my life I have been afraid of the dentist., due to the pain and problems I have experienced. I have been to many Dentists, until I met the Bronzinis. By the time I had to go to them I had several issues with my teeth. Joe, who handled all my issues was more gentle and professional than all of other dentists I had been to in the previous years. I am very impressed at how efficiently the office runs, all of the people were very helpful and accommodating. I am also very impressed how Joe and his family are always trying to improve their business, and their involvement in the community. Bronzini Dental group takes EXCELLENT care of my whole family (2 children, 2 adults) over the past six years. I visited three other local pediatric/family dentists before finding Dr. Nick. Right away, I knew his practice was exactly what I wanted for my kids: a kind, calm, approachable dentist located in a clean, modern practice. After feeling so great about Dr. Nick, my husband and I joined the adult side of Bronzini Dental Group the following year. Since 2009, our family has experienced uneventful routine children's check-ups (complete with visits to Dr. Nick's treasure box), adult fillings, and even an emergency front tooth replacement of a porcelain veneer - which they crafted inside their in-house lab. These Doctors do top-notch dental work, are trustworthy, and kind to their patients. I always feel like they have my family's best interests in mind and never recommend unnecessary services. I'm particularly sensitive to this since I've experienced other dentists in the past who did not demonstrate Bronzini's ethical behavior. Their office instills confidence in me because it is very clean and is equipped with modern technology. Impressively professional dental work from Dr.Chris Bronzini, who always first consults with me regarding my and my daughter's treatment options. He takes lots of time as he is advancing the needle with pain medication, waiting for the first bit to work before progressing to the next section. Patient comfort and quality work seem to be Dr.Chris' values. He is funny and relaxed, and he keeps our teeth pretty and healthy. Dental assistants are responsive, gentle and well trained. Reviews here are variable regarding front desk staff. Yep, it's pot luck with front staff, and changes over the years and by the minute, but they are overall excellent, and it's refreshing to deal with these real schedulers and receptionists. The many hygenists are efficient and very friendly, and work hand-in-glove with the dentist.
