I've had a great experience here and can't recommend them enough. The staff is incredibly friendly, from Carol at the front desk to Christina the dental hygienist and Dr. Chen. Everyone is welcoming and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. There is a small private parking lot, which makes visits much easier and stress-free. The cleanings are gentle but still very thorough and efficient, which I really appreciate. One thing that really stands out compared to other dental clinics is that my appointments almost always start on time. I never feel rushed, but I also don't feel like I'm sitting around waiting. I had a pretty bad experience with this office, mostly regarding billing. Christina determined I needed crowns and I was given a quote on the price, it seemed a bit high but I was willing to pay for the quality. Upon arrival to get the work done, they ask for ~$200 more above the quoted price upfront, saying that insurance may refund me any excess. Finally, a couple weeks after the work they bill me for another $100 without any communication! Their office pinned this on the insurance, but the insurance clarified that this office is simply overcharged for the procedure. So, the poor review is for their incompetence, as any dental office should know they can get pre-authorization for non-urgent work or at least ingest some of the balance if they grossly misquoted a patient. read more

I was given a health plan and options which was great. Office was nice. Staff was extremely friendly. Place was easy to find. So I happened to be Dr. Dustin Lee's last patient prior to his departure from this practice. Naturally, I had some concerns about who was taking over, but Dr. Lee promised that he carefully selected his replacement, to ensure a seamless transition and that the quality of care would be the same or better. I had my checkup today with Dr. Christina Chen and I can confirm that my concerns were unfounded. That's great for me, since finding a competent and trustworthy dentist isn't an easy task. It's located in San Bruno just off of El Camino Real. It's a standalone home with beautiful landscaping. As I enter the office I felt like I was at someone's home. It's comfortably furnished and Dr Lee provides Wi-Fi, cell phone charging and bottled water. I completed the required forms and was quickly showing to dental chair. Dr Lee is so pleasant. My previous dentist had screwed up my dental filling multiple times. I spent some time combing through dentist reviews on yelp looking for mentions of fixing fillings. Super happy I came to Dr Dustin Lee. He fixed it and I have not had any pain or discomfort for going on one year now. I have also gotten a night guard as well as regular dental cleanings with Dr Lee. He is incredibly thorough. For example, after he got the night guard from the lab, he patiently did the fitting, carefully making small adjustments to the night guard to ensure the perfect fit. In contrast, a family member got a night guard at another dentist and didn't even get a fitting. Dr Lee patiently explains everything he sees during the cleaning. He never pushes unnecessary services. He is very personable and makes the patient feel at ease. His dental hygienists are great too! read more

I used the online form on Simply Dentistry's website to schedule an appointment as a new patient. I waited a few days for a response, which never came. At that point I decided to move on and queried a different dentist and completely forgot about Simply Dentistry. Exactly three weeks later, the person responsible for Simply Dentistry's scheduling called me on the phone and asked sheepishly, "Hi, just wondering if you're still looking for a dentist. Or have you already found someone?" Even if I hadn't found a different dentist, I wouldn't want to patronize a business that takes three weeks to respond to potential customers. In fact, I wouldn't have even felt compelled to write this review if they hadn't been so tawdry as to call me back three weeks after my initial query, as if I would just overlook the fact that they ignored me for three weeks until their backlog had cleared up. Been seeing Dr. Lee for cleanings every 6 months. I've been trying really hard to care for my teeth more. Team is really nice and caring. Transferring records from another practice was easy. Dr. Lee is thorough and explains. Had a filling changed and was in and out within 45 minutes. It was a positive experience considering I'm scared of any drilling. No pain at all other than the pinch of the numbing portion which is all I felt! Eventually I hope to change out my silver fillings but I am not in a rush and am confident Dr. Lee will continue to monitor and let me know when it's needed. WOW. Dr. Lee is AMAZING! From the moment I walked through the door, I felt welcomed. Nadine is a gem and a sweetheart. She tackled every question and request I had while staying charming and relaxed. Dr. Lee is really friendly & precise. It's easy to get fooled by his young demeanor, but I've been more than satisfied with all of his treatments so far! Before the treatment, he'd start by starting a very friendly & personable conversation which makes you feel less anxious. A really nice benefit for me (like many others) who are anxious of dentist visits! During the treatment, he'd briefly explain what he's doing. What I especially like is that he's a little bit of a perfectionist, so he'd make sure your new filling perfectly fits in your mouth. When I was getting my cavities filled, I felt that the teeth fit quite well, but he'd adjust it tiny bit more and to make it fit in a lot better. He also would make sure anesthesia is properly administered - I didn't feel any pain when it was getting injected. What I also liked is after major treatments he would personally call you later in the day to make sure you are feeling OK, and ask you to come by the office if there are any other problems.
