To start with, I've had all my jewelry (especially some delicate chains and undersized rings) repaired at Leander Jewelry, exclusively, since I found them last spring. They have all the professional resources, tools, and equipment a reputable jeweler should have, including a machine that identifies stone and metal content for accurate valuations. I've noticed that their prices are based primarily on the metal value, with necessary markups for craftmanship and stones. So, prices are always fair, honest and transparent. And I can look up for verification on my phone in real time if I want to check for myself. Best of all, the folks who run the store are so friendly and fun. I love looking through the cases and trying on all the pieces that catch my eye. It's a family run business and they're good to their regulars. I suggest stopping in to check out the inventory for yourself, let them get to know your face, and you just might find yourself a family jeweler for life. PHOTO BELOW P.S. One of the things I like about Ranch Road jewelry is they are able to do small repairs right on site. I was able to come and retrieve it the very next day. I did have a little bit of sticker shock-probably because it's been quite some time since I've had any jewelry repaired. It was a little over $100 with tax. It looked as good as the day I bought it! He checked the size for me and made the adjustment. When we determined it was too tight, I asked if he could swap it back. After he audibly scoffed with obvious frustration, he decided that he needed to check to make sure I truly purchased the watch from their store prior to replacing the link. In addition to that, he had an associate ask if he knew anything of a stone left in a cleaner and he responded unprofessionally and rudely. What an uncomfortable experience. The South Austin store is by far the better store for service overall experience. They are fantastic at that location. Make the 25 minute drive.

The employees all over the store were so friendly and kept asking if we needed help with anything. My girls enjoyed the Easter activities and the prizes they won. We also purchased a few items and were shocked by all the sales they had going. The clearance section didn't disappoint either. The store was also very well organized. I defy you to tell the difference between a JC Penney and a Kohl's…read more They're both laid out the same. They both have similar markup to markdown merchandise and zero help. One notable difference is that there's Kohl's cash to help ease the pain. JC doesn't even give up a Penney. And when you find a live human that could help, they avoid eye contact. If you do manage to make contact, they give nonsensical answers to straightforward questions, like "What sizes do you stock in men's suits?" and "Why do certain sizes show online as being in store?" I'm done. I love some of their products but shopping in store is not worth it.
