Wow! What an amazing smoothie! I've had a thousand Jamba Juice smoothies in my life and this place made the best one ever. I had a bunch of questions and Shift Leader Marz was able to answer all of them. Not only did he have a great attitude, was warm and welcoming but he also knew the nutritional breakdown of all the smoothies. He greeted us as soon as we entered the store with a warm smile and a cheerful voice. Marz treated us like he was the owner and like he really cared about our happiness. Walked into Jamba Juice was not greeted with good morning or hello. Lizzy was the associate, not friendly at all. She had an attitude from beginning to end. The only thing came out her mouth was what do you want. We ordered our drinks, she didn't even call out the order when they were done, she just sat them on the counter. My husband and I feel like she did something to our drinks because we both got sick with diarrhea. I've lived in Monterey for 30 years. When Jamba Juice opened at it's first location I would occasional patronize there location. I stopped going there when they opened their new Alvarado location, for no particular reason I just didn't go. A few weeks ago my wife donated money and for her donation she received a Jamba Juice card where if you buy one you get one free. Both my wife and myself used the card a couple of times and were very satisfied with buy one get one free, using the new card. HOWEVER, yesterday my wife and I decided to get a drink and use our card. One of the girls there took our order and at the same time being very nice, let us know that they were no longer taking that Jamba Juice card. She did say that she would give us a new card that we could use right now to which we said great! She had problems ringing up our order so she called over her manager Liz (who looked 12) to help her out. Liz promptly told us that we could not use the new card until we went on line and register it. Our drinks were being made and we told her that we didn't want to go all the way back home to register it online but she still refused to honor the new card and that we were going to have to pay for both of our drinks. I told her that I was sorry but it wasn't our fault that they changed cards. Liz just started arguing with me and told me that there were no exceptions and if I wanted to use the card I would half to go somewhere and register it. I told Liz that I didn't want to go back home and register the card, and as being manager why not just for this time comp the one drink. There was no way in hell that she Liz was going to do that and then she just started arguing with me over the matter. I haven't been talked down to like this since I was a child now being almost 70 this was out of control. She (Liz) just continued to talk down to me and shame me. I then told her that God gave her one mouth and two ears and that she should do more listening than talking but I don't think that she was old enough to understand. This manager (Liz) should be fired immediately!! She has absolutely no people skills or managerial wisdom. If it's Jamba Juices fault and their policy then they should be ashamed of it's self. For right now my wife and I will be boycotting JAMPA JUICE down in Monterey and you should do the same. Don't even try to use your old JAMPA Juice card!!! Shame on them! Shame on their manager Liz! TERRIBLE SERVICE AND THE DRINK THAT I USUALLY ORDER WAS DISGUSTING HERE! I paid for an extra cup of granola only to get a tablespoon. Ugh I was so disappointed and the customer service here was rude and overall I'm not coming here again. I do not recommend this Jamba Juice. read more

This particular location served as the site of my first Jamba Juice experience. I have since visited a few more times. Decent smoothies, but they are a bit expensive ($4-5) and the service is slow as other reviewers have mentioned. They do offer 2 for 1 boosts on Tuesdays and free granola on Fridays! I will probably continue to stop in on those days as it's just a short walk from my workplace. read more

I came here on the Sunday on Labor Day weekend. They had a lady behind the counter taking orders, a lady cleaning the blenders, and another one making ALL the drinks. It was hot as shit in Monterey so they had about 20 people waiting. It seems like a really new location but it took about 20 minutes to get my Banana Orange Peach smoothie which was mediocre. Stopped into Jamba Juice of Monterey on my last trip. I was concerned that parking was going to be an issue but thankfully found free street parking right down the street. Came in and there was no line glad to see that there's a trend of having more fruit & veggie smoothie options. I really enjoyed my Apple n' Greens smoothie b/c the mixture of apple and strawberry juices, kale, peaches, mangos and bananas the sweet offset the kale so although one can easily be turned off by the green it was actually really tasty! read more

I am a bit biast towards this because I do work there. However I would say that it's a great place if you're new to the area or are looking for something on a hot summer's day. Come on into Jamba Juice where we have a different variety of juices, smoothies, and breads. The best of the smoothie joints. This location was my first introduction to Jamba Juice several years ago and I was certain to put it on my list of stops this visit since they are far and few between around my hometown. We went there on a Sunday morning and were about the 5th in line and there were probably 4 after us. We waited for our juice maybe 20 minutes! One gal was talking to a friend for the entire time, one putting all the shakes together probably did one a minute and the third gal - well I've seen snails at the aquarium go faster. I work down the street from Jamba Juice in Monterey Ca, Today my visit was horrible, the gentleman who made my drink did not follow my directions. I asked him to make my jamba juice extra thick because I do not like it watery. The gentleman made it super watery and when he made my drink he left it on the counter and did not call my name,it was sitting there well he was gossiping with a co-worker that was not on duty. The co-worker that was not on duty got her drink be for me and then they had the nerve to stand there and gossip. Not only that the girl who was working there looks dirty all the time. She looked like she was partying all night and just got up and went to work. The business should have rules about hygiene because it is a big company. Dont get me wrong I love Jamba Juice its my favorite drink I go there all the time on my lunch almost every other day but the customer service lately is horrible and disappointing.It Seem like it always the same crew of workers that are rude and look like they need to shower. Just came to Jamba Juice on my break. Hailey is awesome! She was working her butt off making smoothies, and taking orders at the register. She acknowledged me and was very polite and urgent. She repeated my order back to me with a killer smile! Then came all the way out from behind the register to hand deliver my sandwich while I waited on my smoothie.
