Super slow service. Don't recommend if you're in a hurry or just have a few minutes. Plus, it's overpriced.

This location was a mess today. Long, long wait times as only a single worker tried to manage the Friday holiday weekend crowd. When I asked her if someone called in sick, she said the manager was in the back doing inventory! Ridiculous! We waited FIFTEEN minutes for our food and when we got it our breakfast sandwiches were cold. After replacing them with new ones, they were still cold! What a mess! I would avoid this place, especially if you walk in and see nobody behind the counter!

Beautiful day, took a nice walk and got thirsty. Decided on juice instead of a smoothie. The young lady that waited on me was very patient, friendly and knowledgable. She helped me a lot. I love the taste of fresh squeezed juice and I know how good it is for my body. In my Schwarzenegger voice, "I'll be back".

Jamba, formerly Jamba Juice, is now back at the John Hancock building, after having been replaced by a number of other vendors in its prime location on the lower level of the building for a number of years. I decided to mobile order a medium "Strawberries Wild" smoothie and replaced the apple pear strawberry juice blend with nonfat milk to create more of a milkshake-like consistency. It wasn't horrible, and made for a nice cool treat, but I do wish there would have been more fresh strawberries added to the actual drink, as it was mostly a banana-heavy flavor-- perhaps the majority of the "strawberry" flavor comes from the juice blend they typically add to this drink. The shop is in a very convenient location, right on the Mag Mile, but I probably could have gotten a higher quality drink for $8 somewhere else in the city.

Fruits, veggies and other extra cash thrown into a blender puréed to death and overcharged for.

However, the reason for the bad review is that we got an acai bowl with multiple light colored hairs in it. (Mine and my husbands' hair colors are black). This is absolutely disgusting and deters me from wanting to order from here again. The photo shows the strand we initially found and there were multiple other strands that we found blended into the bowl. Absolutely unacceptable. Will not be ordering from here again.

I later learned to cook healthfully as a teenager, and have explored ethnic foods ever since. Raw foods such as fruits, veggies, juices, and salads remain favorites. So when I went to Chicago last summer, as I was walking back to my hotel from Millennium Park hot and exhausted, quenching my thirst and hunger simultaneously with something fresh was a priority. I had spotted Deep Purpl on the way. I love açai, and usually just purchase it in frozen packets or juice from the grocery store, so this was my first time trying an açai bowl at a shop. It was absolutely amazing, so much so that I ordered the same thing as a BOGO special from Uber the next day. I've been trying to find a local spot in VA that compares: not too sweet, quality ingredients nicely layered with almond butter as an option.

Sometimes when you're stoned you do the weirdest things and crave the weirdest stuff. I was scrolling on DoorDash for what felt like 67 years when I stumbled on Deep Purpl. Their menu literally screamed exactly what my munchies were demanding, so obviously I ordered everything. First up the Acai Bowl 20oz with banana, strawberry, kiwi, granola, organic honey, extra strawberries, and chia seeds. I am telling you this bowl changed me as a human. I had never had an Acai Bowl before and now I'm obsessed. Every fruit was fresher than fresh, the granola was a spiritual experience, and the balance of flavors was ridiculous. Then I got the PB Toast and I'm still asking myself why I hesitated to pay $6.99 for it. GAWD it was amazing. Crispy bread, peanut butter, banana, strawberries, blueberries, honey drizzle. The best $6.99 piece of toast I have ever had in my life. Because I clearly have no self-control I also grabbed the spinach and cheese empanada and malbec and beef empanada. No words. Everything was fantastic. Every single item was a joy to inhale and I will absolutely do it again. The DoorDash pick-up was super easy and the staff was incredibly friendly. The only minor gripe is they don't provide bags so I had to carry everything individually walking home, which was slightly annoying. But honestly the food, the vibes, and the experience? 10 out of 10. Will be back.

Tasty, healthy, reasonable price. 24 oz was a meal along with a slice of the PB toast- sturdy piece of a whole grain bread topped with bananas, berries, and a touch of honey that was good (not too sweet). Recommend!

Originally on a mission for a smoothie, I was greeted by a friendly staff member and a much larger menu than expected. There is a slew of inventive food that all looked amazing, ranging from sandwiches to noodles and sushi. I opted for the Maca Picchu smoothie, a mini cranberry muffin, and an empanada. I was blown away by how flavorful everything was! The smoothie was creamy, lightly sweet, and very refreshing. The mini muffin tasted like a firmer version of edible cookie dough and was a perfect sweet treat. The empanada was not crunchy, but it was flavorful and the vegan cashew cream was incredibly smooth. I was really impressed not only by the taste of the food, but the texture and presentation as well. There is a level of detail and care that is apparent and really exceptional. Consider me a fan- I'm already looking forward to not only the next visit, but to bring more plant-based meals into my kitchen as well!
