This location is walking distance to 900 North, a high-end mall in Downtown Chicago. There are also several hotels around, including, the Westin, Four Seasons, & Ritz-Carlton. It's surrounded by Starbucks and Benihana. What did I have - Acaí Primo Bowl - Acai-grape juice blend concentrate base topped with bananas, strawberries, granola, blueberries, honey - $11.79 (small) - It was good, basic bowl, high in sugar. Jamba bowls are not lacking sugar, lol. Things to know: 1. This Jamba is hidden, take the stairs down to the lower level for all the tourists that plan to visit. 2. We wanted to try this Jamba during out trip to Chicago after visiting the 360 Tilt. This one is located just on the exit of 360. The staff is friendly and attentive. We ordered Acai bowl and some frozen drinks. The interior was well maintained for the tourist spot. They have interior and some outside seating. Jamba, formerly Jamba Juice, is now back at the John Hancock building, after having been replaced by a number of other vendors in its prime location on the lower level of the building for a number of years. I decided to mobile order a medium "Strawberries Wild" smoothie and replaced the apple pear strawberry juice blend with nonfat milk to create more of a milkshake-like consistency. It wasn't horrible, and made for a nice cool treat, but I do wish there would have been more fresh strawberries added to the actual drink, as it was mostly a banana-heavy flavor-- perhaps the majority of the "strawberry" flavor comes from the juice blend they typically add to this drink. The shop is in a very convenient location, right on the Mag Mile, but I probably could have gotten a higher quality drink for $8 somewhere else in the city. read more

The strawberry smoothie I ordered hit the spot and I appreciated that the menu behind the counter is well organized (plant-based, protein, etc.) There is also an edited selection of pre-packaged snacks and baked goods. I like that the smoothies are available in multiple sizes. When I came in, around 1 pm, there were only two other customers ahead of me. My order was prepared quickly. The mango smoothie I had was likely the worst. First it did not taste like mango at all, it had a strong orange juice flavor. Second it was like eating fruit flavored ice without any sweetness. I realize that fruits are not in season right now, but they must have forgot to put something in the drink because it had no sweetness at all. Note to self chose a different location. This jamba makes quality drinks, rarely messes up orders. I've been to a few (mostly airports) that are so bad. Flavors always spot on. Workers are consistently peppy and helpful. The major downside is the crowd which this jamba doesnt handle well. I mean, its in the Hancock so it should be used to the turnover, but it usually takes me at least 30 min between getting there, ordering, and waiting for my drink. read more

I've never been a fan of over priced fads like FroYo, Wheat grass, and all that junk. I was on my way to an appointment last week in the building down the street and was running a bit early, so I decided to stop at the nearest place that had a cold drink (it was a rare 95 degree day). I walked into Jamba and ordered a small Green Tea Blast. The guy at the counter took my order with a smile, and gave me the total. To which I replied HOLY SHIT! I don't have my wallet! You don't understand! I don't live in the loop, and I just parked my car in a $30 garage! This is VERY bad. I apologized and walked away from the counter to call my husband. Obviously, not gettting my Jamba was the least of my worries at this moment. I didn't have my wallet, and I was nearly in tears. As I was walking out of the store I heard my name being called (you gibe them your name when you order). I turned around and the staff was all smiles. They gave me a LARGE (no less!) Green Tea Blast GRATIS, and just the generosity and the smiles that they gave me really brightened my day. If you're wondering, it all turned out okay, and I got my car out of the garage with some money that was brought to me, but the real heroes of this story are the employees of this Jamba. They saw that someone was about to have a terrible day, and they did what little part that they could to make it a little brighter. Thank you Jamba Juice. I absolutely adore Jamba Juice so let me be the one to say why this location is particularly enjoyable. First of all, I agree that a lot of these smoothies have calories in them. However, they now have all fruit smoothies which aren't as filled with calories, and of course you can also look up all the nutritional information for each flavor on their website to decide which is the most healthy if you are so inclined. Depending on what flavor & boosts you get, however, these smoothies can easily take the place of a meal. The Original size is filling, in my opinion. Second, the people who work at this location are always extremely friendly and fun. I always end up walking out of there with a smile on my face due to their jokes and playful nature. I've lived in Seattle for 4 years, so I had Jamba Juice around all the time. I am usually not the biggest fan; I mean the drinks are good, but I don't really have cravings like some of my friends do. SO, when I visited with friends from DC I decided to try one of their hot drinks and went for the chocolate soy chai. Bad idea. I didn't like it at all. Holy tourists and their godawful children, Batman! I love Jamba. The smoothies are fantastic and always make me feel like I'm doing my body a giant favor by drinking one. This one is located under the Hancock center, which means it it teeming with people from out of town and their giant maps and their awful children who think it is the BEST THING EVER to whip the plastic display fruit at each other while their mothers talk on their cell phones. This place has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. No greeting hello, no suggestions, no smile, just complete rudeness, as if she didn't want to be there at all. I am not going to lie...I love jamba juice. I will admit though I have only gotten cold busters here since Im only go here when I am sick. This particular location rules. I teach at a school about a half mile from here so this is a nice ideal location for me. The place gets 5 stars for its service. My first time at Jamba Juice and now I'm addicted. I was at the Westin across the street, so I went in more than a few times last week and was pleased with everything I got. I tried the Acai Super Antioxidant blend a few times, also the Strawberry Surf Rider. The SSR was a little too acidic to have more than once, but the ASA was good all week long. By far my favorite was the "Chunky Strawberry Ideal Meal"... it's like a smoothie but you eat it with a spoon. It had strawberries, bananas, peanut butter and some oats in there. SO GOOD. read more

But the convenience of the being right in my work building and the ability to grab a quick smoothie without venturing outside in the frigid weather makes me visit this place around 2-3 times a week. The employees I have encountered here are always friendly and efficient with my time, and even suggest coupons and deals online for me to look up when I visit. I have tried a variety of different flavors, but my standard go-to is the Strawberries Wild. I've also had the flat bread here due to adventure and laziness and it was pretty bad. However, it is a good deal with the smoothie if you need a quick bite. Overall, they deliver a pretty consistent smoothie with pretty decent customer service. Currently, the volume is pretty low (since it is in the dead of winter), but I hope the quality will last even during the busier times. read more

Love love love that there's Jamba Juice in Chicago. I've never had any problems at this locale except that it gets a little busy with all the tourists in the summer. What can I do, though, it's the closest one to where I live. My favorite drink is Mango-a-go-go, but I've been trying to be healthier and getting Mega Mango. I sampled most of their all-fruit drinks, and they are delish! Don't forget to get your free boost - my faves are immunity, energy, and green caffeine. The green caffeine sort of has a funny after taste, but maybe it was because they didn't blend it well enough. This jamba juice is in the heart of Michigan Ave, so when you are strolling along the Avenue on a nice, sunny day (all 3 of them that we have a year)...you gotta make sure you stop and get your smoothie fix! This location makes perfect smoothies, I think. Every time I go the product is perfect. The service is really hot and cold, however. Sometimes the workers treat you like their bestie, and other times I fear they are too pissed off to be making something I'm about to drink! A Healthy Way to Start Any Day When I have the time, a morning stop at Jamba Juice is on my agenda. Nothing starts a day better than a big glass of freshly squeezed juice, liquid sunshine as my mom used to call it, and Jamba does it right. The oranges are always sweet, cold and fresh. Besides the orange juice, Jamba's lemonade provides a cool, refreshing treat on a hot, summer day. In addition, the Hancock location offers a great outdoor sitting area to soak up some of the non-liquid sunshine. The only "bad" part is their somewhat limited menu. Who doesn't love Jamba Juice?? This particular location is always busy... especially on hot and sunny Saturday afternoons! But we needed are fruit fix, so came in for a treat. Staff moves quickly, but we still had to wait about 10 minutes for our drink. We got a ginormous fruit concoction... have no idea what was in it, but it was good.
