I got the oxtail plate with Mac n cheese, greens, and some sweet plantains. The oxtail were delicious, well seasoned, and a good portion. The Mac n cheese was delicious. Well seasoned, super cheeses and with that nice crunchy cheese top. The greens were cooked well but a bit vinegar forward for my liking and the plantains were perfect to offset all the savory flavors. I'll be back to try the other items on their menu. read more

Get the curry goat. I don't care if you don't like goat or don't like curry, just get the curry goat. It's phenomenal! The brown stew chicken is also absolutely delicious. The sides tasted very complimentary and I absolutely loved my kale and collard greens, they were made perfectly. My husband wasn't keen on his Mac and cheese but I thought it was good. Food was flavorful. Wings were made to order. I got all sides and they were generous with the serving. The baked Mac and cheese was really good and the candied yams was also delicious. I've never had Jamaican soul food so going here at first was honestly a complete surprise. That being said, I loved the food so much I came again to eat off the menu 3 days in a row. The food is that good. Whether it be the oxtail platter or the Jamaican beef patties or even the assortment of drinks. You literally can't go wrong with picking. I highly suggest the curry goat or the oxtail and for the sides the Mac n cheese and plantains. The Mac n cheese was very delicious, seasoned but also still had some structure to it. I had the jerk chicken wing platter with Mac n cheese & cabbage. Both sides were really good & the platter was huge. Ordered a small and still had left overs. More recently I've had the oxtails with rice, beans and cabbage. The gravy alone was delicious && oxtails fell off the bone! I ordered the small and the large and didn't notice a huge difference between the amount of oxtails in each platter. They have the option of ordering a side of meat, which I plan on doing the next time I order the oxtails. They're so good, I need more then what's in the platter. read more

stayed in upper darby for a couple days and decided to stop by. tried the oxtail and beef and veggie patties. The oxtail was juicy and the sides of greens and macaroni were great compliments to it. The macaroni had just even of a crunch on the upper layer but was still so moist and flavorful. The patties were my favorite part! The beef was so well seasoned and the bread was just flaky enough to support the give of the meat. This place is a gem and the owner is so kind! i even bought some patties for the travel back. I had the Goat Curry (small) and my husband the Jerk Pork (1/4 #). We each also had rice and peas (beans) and baked mac and cheese. Portions were generous. We have enough left over for one more dinner and some lunches. The meat was all well-cooked, tender, and delicious. The curry wasn't one where the flavor of the spice overshadows the meat. The goat flavor came through (and yes, it tastes a lot like lamb). The pork was just spicy enough so you were happy to have a side of rice and beans! The sides were nicely prepared and freshly made. The fish is more than a medium spice and a little spicier than my wife can handle but she powered through. It was so flavorful and tasted like it was cooked in a coconut hot sauce reminiscent of a hot sauce from our favorite Caribbean restaurant in Oakland, CA called Miss Ollie's. My wife loved the cabbage and greens. My Oxtail was so juicy and tasty. The small was more than enough food and I even had enough for leftover. The food at this place is decent, the price for the food are pricey. The food there isn't really that bad, if I'm craving some curried goat I will come back but not as often as I would like to. The grandmas honey bbq wasn't really that good, I couldn't even get fries with the wings because they're asking $7 dollars for fries. At least have different sizes. I really liked the food here, it was made fresh and you can tell the people that cooked this food live this lifestyle. Sometimes I go to Caribbean places to get food and I can feel the authentic vibes this was one of those places. The seasoning was spot on like I only wanted more gravy for my rice and peas and that's my only complaint. We ordered a lot of stuff and they didn't have our veggie patties so they gave us one chicken and one beef but we happily declined them and told them we would take a few side orders instead. At first I was like wow we have enough food to feed a family of four. It was just for the two of us, we ate what we could and saved the rest for later. Because I was on vacation and we were drinking we made sure to sop up some of our alcohol with the left overs and it tasted EVEN BETTER after we heated it up later that night. I know that small businesses have taken such a huge hit so that's why I made it my business to drive from north philly all the way here. I was about to go to Lancaster ave or 52nd street but I figured getting out of the city would be a nice experience since I was showing off the city that raised me.
