We arrived at El Guacamole at 5:30pm and were self sat, to the small two-seater in the back. This restaurant is teensy 8-10 tables. Our waitress was smiley and kind. And patient, because I was confusing her on my asking for just cups with ice. We had our bevy bag for their BYOB, so wanted to cool our seltzers down. Lots of guacs to their namesake- so we decided to try the trio. We sampled the tropical, cheese and habanero. They were all delicious. Clean, chunky, bright. Tropical was the fav. (As we go on- FRESH is the theme here.) My husband, again being adventurous ordered the Mojarra à la Diabla and I the Jarocho Shrimp Cocktail. The Diabla sauce was asked on the side. And we are sooooo happy for that. Not just because if it was all over the fish, it would've been too hot for my husband- No. This sauce was Incredible!!! For me- perfect spice level. It tasted like a gazpacho and shrimp ceviche made a beautiful family but with chunkier cucumber, tomatoes and onions. The tomato sauce was light but rich.
