I just ate my first Gazzo steak. I will say I'm not really a steak kind of girl, but this steak was delicious! Melt in your mouth steak, onions fried perfect & spicy long hots. The highlight was the black & brown sesame seeds on the rolls, that sets them apart from the others in this area. I see how they are always busy.! The hype is real! Worth a visit, worth waiting in line. A taste of Philly in Pottstown. We arrived on a Sunday around 12:15pm. We walked right in and placed our order. You can order with the cashier or you can use the kiosk. Ordering was easy. We waited about 15-20 min for our order to be cooked. It was run very efficiently. One of the owners did come around to check in on us along with other tables. I really appreciated that touch. They do have paper that you can eat on. Feel free to ask them for it. They would prefer that you eat on the paper versus the table for obvious reasons. The steaks were amazing. The seeded roll was a great touch. I've always said a sandwich is only as good as the bread. If the bread is not good, it will not make the cut. The bread made it! So many of us complemented that we like how the meat and cheese were combined together instead of the cheese, just laying on top of the meat in the roll. The roll was toasted. Not overly toasted, it still had a little soft was to it, which was perfect. When it's toasted too much I sometimes feel like it's not enjoyable to eat as it becomes too hard. Everything was made perfectly. They do have some dessert options there were cookies and some cake pops. Drinks are by the bottle. The decor is all Philly themed. They had a mural of the famous Rocky stair scene. It was very clean.Restroom was very clean as well. They also do business with a lot of food ordering services. Parking is easier than some may think. If you're early enough, you can park on the street if you are lucky to find a spot. Or there is a public lot across the street on a Sunday for an hour and a half I paid $1.20. My good friend Rosalie Picone recommended to try them again after many disappointing cheesesteaks since they tried to grow too big and lost their quality, consistency and any perceived value. Still nowhere near the best around - cheese was plentiful but so was the gristle... Mediocrity seems to the norm, unless you are one of the paid promoters they payroll to keep the social media hype going. After constantly seeing people talking about Gazzos on, I finally have to just try it out to see what the hype is about. I was going order yesterday and by the time I hit check out it say not available so I assume it was sold out. Today I decided to schedule my order and it went through, I ordered one cheesesteak and chicken cutlet sandwich. Ordered for 6pm and it was ready around 5:50pm to pick up. Let's talk about the food. First Cheesesteak, for $15 dollars I think it was priced right, it was decent size and weight, when I opened the wrap it was full of meat, suppose to have onion on it but I don't see any, I had cheese on the side. I took the first bite and it was this big piece of meat that was thick and chewy with fat, in my mind I was hoping the rest of the meat isn't like that, second bit was better but some fat, third bite and the rest was a lot better. However that first bite really didn't impress me and disappointed me, the taste was fine, it could use more seasoning, the seeded roll is fine. Also I didn't really notice any onion on it. Would I get this again? I am not so sure, not unless the fat is gone and the meat is chopped finely with consistency. Second is the Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, it has onion, and Spanish, let me tell you this sandwich was much heavier and thicker than the cheesesteak, it cost $16 dollars, there is nothing wrong with this sandwich, I like this better than the cheesesteak itself, if you like chicken cutlet you would like this it's full of chicken cutlet. As far as the service goes it is fine like most place, food was ready before the scheduled time so that's a plus. The people there seems to be nice The restaurant itself looks ok, it was hot inside maybe could use stronger AC, but other than that it's fine. I give 3 stars because the cheesesteak disappointed me with that first bite of thick people of meat that wasn't cut right and have fat on it. Wanted to check this place out as I've heard good things and it's newer to the area. Ordered a cheesesteak with fried onions and cooper sharp which is my go-to anytime ordering a steak really. Easy ordering process, they have a walk-up window. There are some areas outside in the lot to sit and eat as well. The steak was incredible. Seeded roll with the cheese and onions mixed into the steak. It was delicious and flavorful. Almost a sweet and smokiness to it. Well balanced also with the roll holding form. Each bite was great. Ok, I've been to both Ardmore and Pottstown, and I will say that no one in the suburbs (that I've had) does it as well as these guys. Though parking can be a little tough it's worth it. The Pottstown shop has quite the curb appeal-outside looks sharp and clean, and definitely exhibits Philly sports pride. Inside is cool, but the only thing I don't like is the galley style ordering - when busy, I'm sure lines are out the door, as there is no place for a line-I'm guessing this is a push for online ordering. I tried two steaks here, one with onions on a seeded roll, and the other without on a non-seeded-though I thought I preferred my sandwiches on a plain roll this place has converted me. Overall a solid city style cheesesteak-not sure about Pottstown but Ardmore is card only. Will definitely return! read more

This place has been on the list for a while. Not too far off the highway. The inside is a shrine to Rocky. Not a lot of room to move around. They have tablets to place your order. I got the standard cheesesteak with onions for $15. This sandwich is next level. The meat has great flavor and is completely coated in cheese. The roll is a perfect balance between soft and hard. All in all probably the best cheesesteak I've ever had. There is a municipal parking lot across the street that cost $.95 an hour. read more

(On-screen ordering a little confusing as to whether onions need to be added or are included per sandwich description). Both sandwiches full of meat w/ some chew but still tender, generous amount of cheese that is mixed in well, & rolls w/ some heft. The Mick had a generous amount of Special Sauce on top which I enjoyed, but may not be to everyone's liking. Interior space has high tops & Rocky Balboa motif. Quiet seating away from grill w/ condiment station & Rocky playing on 2 screens. Appreciated the detailed sandwich wrap & boxes for fries. Both sandwiches were next level good. 10 out of mf 10!!! First off, I knew this place was going to slap because the line was wrapped around that bish inside lol. But I digress, the food was BANGING. And surprisingly, although we didn't eat inside, there was ample seating and it was very clean. The bathroom was clean as f. Very impressive. Now onto that damn food: we started with the cheesesteak egg roll. My gawd! It was so juicy and delicious. Next we ordered a damn pizza box of fries and they so did not disappoint! They were perfectly crunchy and were consistent with chips. Lastly- I had the cheesesteak provolone with the herb butter spread. If I wasn't so hungry I would have waited to eat this at home with my bra off! However, the portions are so big that I will have the opportunity for that other half of the sandwich . OMFG... YES, I'm gonna brag Being from South Philly I have eaten a lot of cheese steak sandwiches ( except Pat's n Ginos-because real Philadelphians don't each trash ). I have had some tasty cheese steak sandwiches in this area .... BUT .... BUT ... this place with their cheese steak sandwiches blew my taste buds away, it was actually food porn . For fastest service order ahead but even if you have to wait it's not a terribly long one. Get a Sanatoga with long hots and thank me later. Tried the brick and mortar location of Gazzos just off High St in Pottstown. Smallish place with a weird entry into the building but that is not a deal killer. Ordered the truffle sandwich which at $25 was the most expensive thing on the menu. Cheesesteak eggroll and fries as sides. The eggroll as OK (luke warm) and the fries were really not great until I took them home and crisped them up in the airfryer. read more

My wife and I love to try cheese steaks everywhere we can and get recommendations. We walked in and it was a tight hallway to the ordering kiosks. The prices were a bit higher. I know it is a brick and mortar but $3.71 for a 20 oz is a money grab. We are from Philly and even then cheesesteaks are in the $13-$14. Thankfully they offered $5 half size fry order. Great decoration for this cool cheese steak joint! Rocky playing on the tvs and a huge mural of Rocky at the Art museum. There were Philly sports memorabilia all over. The cheesesteak was filled with cheese which I'm not sure the flavor of the steak. I also could barely see the fried onions. The fries were awesome, reminded me of boardwalk fries because we got a small cup malt vinegar to dip them in. I've only been in the Philadelphia area for a coupla years now, but in that time, I've eaten A LOT of cheesesteaks. They're all a little different and they're all *good*, but few are truly great. Last year, we spotted a new food truck near our home in Pottstown. It took us a while to give them a try (old habits sometimes die hard), but WOW. So glad we decided to stop in. Gazzos Steaks are, and I know the weight of this statement, the best I've ever had. The Gazzo with onions, sharp provolone, and longhots is my favorite, but they have plenty of other choices. Dying to try their fries, but they've been sold out every time we've gone. If you go to the truck (corner of Rte. 100 & N. State St.) and order, it'll be ready in about 15-20 minutes. This review is for the Ardmore Gazzos Steaks Location. I tried the standard Cheesesteak with fried onions today. The sandwich was very good. I am not accustomed to the thicker chop of the meat but after a few bites I settled in. Very tender, juicy and the cheese was melted throughout. The seeded roll held together until the end of the sandwich, which sometimes is not the case. I didn't try the fries. At $8 for the basic order, I was a little put off by the cost. I have read other reviews that they are really large enough for two people. Will bring a friend and try them next time. The counter person was very friendly and helpful through the ordering and pickup process. I definitely will go back for another Cheesesteak in the near future. Glad to have them nearby in Ardmore. read more

Had the cheesesteak at the original food truck location. They were better. The new storefront...25 mins from ordering to completion on a Sunday afternoon at 4:20 PM. It's not a great place inside to wait for your order, the hallway from the ordering kiosks to the open area is way too narrow. They should install an outdoor speaker so people can wait outside at least. On to the food. The fries at $8 are not worth it. If you like fries at all, you probably should skip them at any price. They are OK for the first 2 minutes and then they just get so soggy and limp. Not good. The Cooper sharp they use for the steaks is so overpowering and they put so much of it on, that's all you taste. No meat, no onion, no other flavor except the cheese. They also didn't cut the roll all the way through so I'm not sure I got the amount of meat they say the put in. Meat was all clumped up too. It's these details that matter though! The roll was good at least. Never thought I'd think moving to a brick and mortar would make the food worse but here we are. read more

Everyone standing around that looks like they are waiting for a bus has already ordered. Be careful to not park in front of the fire hydrant to the right side of the food truck. I tried the slow smoked cooper sharp cheesesteak w fried onions. It was good, the only reason I didn't give it a 5 was the roll. Almost no fried onion taste (overpowered by cheeses). Have tried all the cheeses and there's just too much. Also the hot cherry pepper seemed like they turned not fresh like other places I've had. Waited 45 minutes for my cheesesteak. I suppose the best cheesteak in Pottstown doesn't mean much but I guess it still lol. For those who say ask for light cheese it's just not possible in that madhouse looks like there's no room to make a separate cheesteak from the mounds of cooper ones. After waiting what seems like an eternity, I was able to get enough free time during the day to swing out to RT 100 and get a cheesesteak from Gazzos, which has been the hype on social media for awhile now. Food truck is right on 100 and is easy to find, but parking is a bit confusing. Everything was clean and labeled well. The guy taking orders was very friendly and made sure to say thank you(add name), which I thought was a nice touch and made it feel like they really appreciated the business. Food: I can't say anything bad about this cheesesteak. I bought two Gazzo steaks and they 100% lived up to all the hype. Everything was fresh and prepared perfectly. The portions are huge and we had cheesesteaks for lunch the next day too. I wanted to try the fries but they were out, but I'd assume that won't be an issue when their new restaurant opens in Pottstown soon. The bread was fantastic The onions were cooked to perfection The meat was chopped well but not too fine. I will say I noticed that a few pieces of meat were layered on top of each other which tells me that they took several slices and cooked them at the same time. Not even sure if that mean anything but I had to find something to critique so as to not seem like I'm just bias. Honestly, the only true gripe is that its a food truck.
