Just ate at iCreate Cafe and I HAD to post a review right away. It's small and cozy, like your favorite coffee shop. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I had a Syrian salad with stuffed grape leaves and iced mint tea. My food arrived fast! I took a moment to smell all the amazing flavors coming off the table - garlic, mint, cucumber and vinegar. The veggies were fresh, firm and delicious. The stuffed grape leaves were served warm much to my delight. Give it a try, even if you're not Vegan/Vegetarian. You won't be disappointed!

Special of the days: "Cheesestake" delicious!!!

Wow! I was so pleasantly surprised by this little diamond in the rough! I am transitioning to vegan food and trying new places...this has by far been the most delicious and impressive vegan cafe I've visited. A wonderful selection of food and very warm service..you can tell they truly make their food with love. I tried the "vegan cheesteak" (basically black beans with mushrooms onions and peppers..with vegan cheese.) AMAZING!!!! Absolutely delicious. My only issue is...I don't live closer! I was just visiting Pottstown for the day. But I may make the trip from Philly every one in awhile just to come here. I definitely recommend this place, 2 thumbs up!!

Such innovation in these times gives me hope for the future after all. Ash took his skills in training and management AND cooking and combined them into something unique. iCreate Cafe is one street back from High Street, along tree-shaded King Street, in a renovated home. Don't be scared by the hand-drawn Romney campaign poster at the army recruiter next door. The front is cozy hang-out living room space as well as the location of the tiny kitchen. As you wander further in, you see other areas with different personalities: small training rooms with computers and whiteboards, a cafe table area, and more sofas and chairs which look perfect for a book discussion. Beautiful colors and decor and lots of art too. Ash offers an interesting collection of classes: Arabic language, resume writing, animation, WordPress, and web design stuck in my head, not things that are easily gotten elsewhere. He said an 8-hour class is about $200, so it also seems very affordable and a different format than local colleges. Such a warm inviting place made me consider classes I could both take and teach here. But most people would not stop by just to check out classes, and that is where the food comes in. I did not get to try his coffee, but you can see the raves on here. He offers an array of healthy Mediterranean dishes, all vegetarian (mostly vegan) with a Syrian touch. My spouse had a baked falafel sandwich which I got in on, yum. The creamy babaganoush was a large portion (I'd eat this with a spoon); we had to take half home. I loved my freshly-made foul with fava beans, also a huge portion. He brought some other things out for us to sample, like a pesto he was trying out on sandwiches. Ash grows a lot of his own vegetables. There is a good selection of tea too. Nothing is fried. Maybe he will get in some desserts from Vegan Treats in Bethlehem. Prices are very affordable. We were stuffed with plenty to take home, for under $20. People seem to come in just to visit with Ash, and there is a lot of activity on his Fb page. We can't wait to go back, and we will be getting lots of takeout too, since someone in my family drives by here quite often. I wish we had this in Reading, but Pottstown is close enough. There is more going on in Pottstown than I thought, and their main street is wide and has a bike lane: ripe for renewal or already in its way? People are seeking affordable homes closer to Philly. If only there was a passenger train that went beyond the main line; these areas could really come alive.

Ash, the owner. :)

1st and foremost: Ash is awesome. He's knowledgeable, creative, and puts love in his food. 2nd: his food is AMAAAAAAAZING!! I've tried several of his dishes, and everything is good. You can't go wrong here! 3rd: the cafe is soooo comfy-cozy. It's homey, decorative, and you feel like you're in someone's home as a guest. There's a little library of books to enjoy, and he runs documentaries on health/wellness/vegan on Fridays at 7. Awesome. :) simply fantastic. Lastly; YES!! It is a cafe! You can just come to eat!!

After visiting some family down in Pottstown, we wanted to find a vegan place to eat out. Enter iCreate cafe. Ash was so friendly, and makes the best falafel. I ordered babaganoush combo (with red pepper hummus), he brought it and my omnivorous children are my dinner... At least they saved the tasty Syrian coffee. My daughter ordered the black bean burger. She loved it, with the exception of the sauce, but a 9 yr old palette can only expect so much (I liked it). My 8 yr old ordered the falafel wrap. Before I blinked it was gone. Overall, very good food in a comfortable setting. Loved the decor, noticed a few nice pieces from IKEA, and shot some fun pics of his signs.

It would have had nicer ambiance with some more people there, so come on out and enjoy a good meal at Su Tao Cafe.

No onion no garlic vegetarian would need to be mentioned. As I come back and try other items on the menu, I will update this review. Edit: I just tried the following: Good Fortune - love these dish! I think this is the money dish, my favorite so far. Balls are made of mashed tofu with three kinds of veggie meat. Not quite westernized flavor. Broth is very good, a teeny bit oily but will not detract me from having and finishing this up. Not quite salty, perhaps on the verge of my taste. The broth has an herbal flavor (perhaps it's the star anise which is not too strong so that's great!) and you'll get lily blossoms and wood war mushrooms. When you order this to go, they separate the broth from the balls. This is what I will come back for. General Tsao's Tofu - good typical General Tsao's dish, sweet sauce. Opted for this instead of the faux meat. Not quite crispy before the sauce is poured (ordered this to go) but I'm not sure if this will be crispy if I eat this at the restaurant fresh from the kitchen please someone tell me. Vegetable buns - good savory flavor, not quite western flavor. What that means I can't explain to you because Idk. Bun to filling ratio: 1.5 to 1, that's good as it's not all bun. I think they use the US regular wheat flour which is different so this bun is heavier than Asian buns. Happy to try more dishes but Good Fortune will always be on my order.

So we drove there but were not sure it was open. It was. Just dark. And some things on the menu were not available. But everyone was super nice and they brought us a menu that had what they offer in a blackout. With the flashlights we looked over the menu. They had probably about 8 customers not including the 2 of us. So they were trying to accommodate. I got the watermelon tomato gazpacho and the chick pea caesar salad. Both were very good. On the gazpacho I wish there was a bit more watermelon flavor and chunks. The salad was good. Very hearty. My friend got the mushroom po boy. She liked it as well. The server was very nice and attentive. The lights eventually came back on about 3/4 the way through our meal. So now we could see. The place is cute and the fans were welcome on a humid evening. You have to pay to park. And the restaurant is all the way down on the right. The area is very cute and kinda touristy. The only down side besides paying to park are the prices. Just because it's vegan doesn't mean it's cheap. It's not. Prices are higher. Just for my soup and salad my dinner was $28. I guess that could be standard but I got soup and a salad. But it was good. I would go back, just not often. Overall good experience in a challenging evening with the blackout.
