If you like your breakfast served with sappy Christian music blaring, constant visual barrages of Bible passages, in a decor that resembles the lobby of a white bread mega church, you'll enjoy this place's ambiance. However, if you prefer your breakfast with good flavors and character, stay away from here. When will Mom n Pop restaurants return to their truest selves? I don't want to waste any more time on this review, but have to ask how a breakfast restaurant can absolutely ruin hash browns and serve potatoes that smell and taste like a chemistry set got spilled on the grill during the cook? *Horrible parking - not enough, no handicap spots and pockmarked parking lot made it difficult to use my walker. *Aisles - very tight and with my walker I made a lot of people very unhappy when I slammed into them getting and from the table. *Food - tasted okay, nothing special and very expensive; no value here. *Service - alright with no complaints; server made an effort. *Noise - it was unbearably loud so much so I had to guess what the server was saying. I had to yell and shout to my wife just to have a chance to communicate. The bottom line is that we tried this place once and we will never return. The one star was generous since I wasn't allowed to leave zero stars. read more

Very friendly and attentive service. The interior well laid out with plenty of tables and not overly cramped. Nice to see them so busy. Coffee was a flavorful medium roast. My Philly Benedict was decent. Poached eggs cooked perfectly. Scrapple could use a bit more crisp and the English muffin way more time in the toaster. The restaurant is small but bright and inviting. Our waitress Erica was happy and friendly. She gave great recommendations and kept my coffee cup full! I had the breakfast quesadilla. It was tasty! It came with sides of salsa and sour cream. My husband had the reuben. It had good quality corned beef (which is rare at sone restaurants). He had a choice of choice of sauerkraut or cole slaw on the sandwich. It also came with chips and a pickle. Parking is a little tight but worth it. Everyone was friendly. Prices were good. read more

I cannot say enough positive about this Cafe. We have been here twice in the past 3 weeks and our experience could not have been better. The service, would be rated a 5 star. You are greeted by pleasant servers, very attentive! A big shout out to Bobby Jo, Amara and Jay! The food, great looking dishes, one thing you notice right away is large portions, and nothing looks greasy, just extremely appetizing! 100% Delicious. We had eggs today, but our first trip here we had unbelievable french toast, their menu is amazing! So much to pick from. The fresh coffee has the best aroma, is so tasty! Another rating of 5 stars. Great little gem in the Pottstown area. I've been there twice and the food has been consistently good. Everything is fresh and hot and tasty. The OJ is great. Staff is friendly, helpful and the establishment is clean. The prices and portions are very fair. Parking is not the best but that's a reflection on their popularity and we're happy to see that they are busy and well received . Apparently they are doing it right. Keep up the good work and congrats to the new Limerick Twp. location. I will recommend this place to others and we will be back. read more

What a great place for breakfast/brunch. We had the breakfast burrito and the house special eggs Benedict! The best breakfast burrito around by far and the eggs Benedict was on cornbread which was extremely tasty! Our waitress was wonderful and the atmosphere had a great cafe feel. We like the other rise and shine in Pottstown. My husband order an omelet with Jalapenos pepper were not hot and very little ham for an ham and cheese omelet. The home fries were really good. We do not think we will be returning to this restaurant. Not sure if they often extra ham on their omelet if you would get more ham. If was hardly no ham at all on the omelet. Maybe they ran out of ham and should had told us to order some other meat on the omelet. We were very disappointed compared to their other restaurant. The restaurant is very nice and more room. We will go back to phoenixville and coventry to our other restaurant. read more

We wish this gem was a little more of a hidden secret but, as it is positioned prominently on Route 100 and word of mouth about their awesomeness is spreading like wildfire, that's impossible. We have eaten here every weekend since they opened and it has consistently been phenomenal! I have had a few breakfasts here that have changed my life. These people know how to cook and how to serve. The only negative is the number of tables. Thanks to that we have never waited more than ten minutes to be seated but it is packed pretty closely. I have eaten breakfast burritos around the country and Rise & Shine is at the top. The Guatemalan Breakfast (pictured) is an amazing sampler and the potato cakes are a must with fresh squeezed OJ. We visited this new cafe over the weekend and had a great breakfast at a reasonable price. Located right on Route 100 where Oori restaurant was formerly located, we were seated promptly with courteous service. The restaurant was extremely busy and the parking lot was nearly full. Our waiter Jay was attentive and explained that the owners are from Guatamala, so my wife naturally tried the Guatemalan breakfast which she enjoyed immensely. I had the Philly Benedict (two poached eggs with scrapple and hollandaise on an english muffin). It was a fun diversion from the usual eggs benedict, although I will probably stick with the traditional version next time. My only complaint was that the hash browns were a little basic. Hopefully this will be something they get dialed in as the restaurant matures. We also met one of the owners, who was a delightful woman to speak with. Second visit update - A friend told to ask for potato cakes as a substitute for the hash browns. That was the perfect tip! read more

A bright and beautifully decorated restaurant with amazing food. Our waiter Jay was friendly and very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Belgium waffle with strawberries and powdered sugar. The strawberries were fresh not some preservative strawberries in sugary syrup. Everything came out quickly and was piping hot. I highly recommend you try this place. I've don't normally finish my meals but this waffle was too delicious to let it go to waste! 20 out of 10! read more

Easy to accommodate GF and has a whole section of GF pancakes and French toast. My dining companion had the Ruben and said it was an amazing sandwich. We went here on a Friday and it was very busy, however the space wasn't well set up so it was too loud to hear my partner talk. The food came out cold which is a minor complaint except it was also not great. Worst of all, however, was that our waiter refilled our water glasses with what tasted like bleach.
