ackee and saltfish on the left (meal on right is from other restaurant)

I went to this place after my road test. I ordered the ackee and saltfish with coconut rice. It came with some plantains as well. SOO GOOD!!! Ackee and saltfish is one of my favorite things to eat and this place makes it amazingly. Flavor was perfect and it was so filling that I was able to space it out for 2 meals over 2 days. Just wish it was closer so I could go back more often!!

    Wow food looks good

Very nice place come check this place out This is my first time so far it is good on the oxtail

    Chicken patty and beef patty

Drove by this local fast food place and we had to turn around and try it out! We got two beef patties and two chicken patties along with pineapple guava juice and mango juice. The beef patties have the perfect amount of spicy kick to them. The chicken has a bit of spice too, but not has spicy as the beef. I believe they were $2 each! 10/1 The juice isn't made in house, but that's ok. Still pretty good, but super sweet! 8/10 I'll have to stop by here before we head back to the DMV. I'll post an update when that happens.

A MUST TRY! Authentic! Excellent jerk chicken. Great smoke flavor and spice. Everything is made in house. The white rice with stewed beef was delicious as well. Nice to find a new spot to frequent. Good portions fair prices.

    Beef patty

Not sure what I'm missing from everyone else. Fried chicken was old and stale, brown stew chicken was salty and had no flavor. Rice was bland. Plantains were good though. The beef patty I bit into didn't break, the meat was dried and old. Would've gave this place 2 stars but since I drove 40 minutes for this crap I'm trying to save the next person the drive. The restaurant looks nice though and their menu looks abundant. I was so excited. Now I'm disappointed and still hungry.

I think the ihop in Enfield is well above most others, but The Farmers House was something else entirely. The food was so good and the kids talked about it all day. The staff were quick and friendly, but busy. We all got something different (French toast, an omelette, and kids pancakes) and each of the three of us were very pleased with our choices. They don't do anything here you haven't had before, but they do everything very well. The only thing I could say was not great, and I hate complaining about things like this, is the parking. I know that's got little to do with the restaurant itself, but it is not the easiest spot to get in and out of, especially with everything going on at the X lately.

However, our party of four waited 50 minutes for our breakfast. Even coffee took quite a while to arrive. A canned coke was delivered 20 minutes after ordering. Three out of the four entrees were served after waiting for 50 minutes, the other one took an additional 5 minutes and we waited for another 5 minutes to receive the side. The food was mostly good - Omelet was chock full of meat and was delicious. Bacon was really good. Burger was average and fried chicken was kind of meh - crispy, but very dry. We did enjoy the live acoustic music. It was great to hear live music in the morning since most places only have it at night. However, the excessive wait for food really overshadowed the rest of our visit. Oh well.....

I came here on a Saturday afternoon with a friend to check out this place. I parked on the street…read moresince their little parking lot was full. The exterior is adorable! It's an unassuming building but they've made it very cute! They have painted the brick around the bottom to look like stone as well as a continuation of the awning painted around the top. The inside is just as interesting. There is a huge wooden map of the world on the wall, a piano, and the lights over some of the tables are made from teapots. There is a large bar in the middle and plenty of seating. This place is larger than it appeared from the outside. The menu offered several types of teas- white, green, herbal, black with several different flavors within each type of tea. I chose a tropical white tea. It came out nice and hot with a packet of honey. My friend ordered a sweet crepe with mixed fruit. She loved it! I decided to try their unique offering of 6 mixed pancakes. It included 4 savory pancakes (beet, zucchini, squash, potato) and two sweet pancakes (Oladi, farm cheese). One of the sweet pancakes was fluffy but dry and flavorless. I think it was the Oladi. All of the other pancakes were excellent and the service was flawless. What a cute place with great food and service! I'll definitely be back!

My friends got the strawberry and banana crepe and a beet and a zucchini pancake. We got the small crepe which was massive. The service was quick and polite. The house hot sauce had a different kick to it. It was vinegar based and it didn't layer the taste of the food but added some spice without the burn to the food. The place was quaint.

The cheap add-ons shouldn't cost as much as the actual entrée. Nothing here is homemade--everything is clearly purchased in bulk from Costco (Kirkland brand) and Restaurant Depot. If you're expecting authentic, scratch-made kielbasa or pierogies, look elsewhere. To make matters worse, they shortcut the cooking by deep-frying the bacon and home fries before finishing them on the grill, leaving the food completely oversaturated with grease. Heads up for future customers: They are also cash-only

You will need to ask. My major bugaboo is that the menu is pretty unclear. If you order a veggie omelette you might think it comes with at least some veggies in it. Apparently the $9.99 is the base price for just the eggs, and each item is added for $0.99 each. So when we ordered we were asked if we want all the veggies, it was unclear that this meant do you want to add $10 worth of extra items to the omelette. (Cheese is somehow extra too). The food was fine. Not worth $38 for eggs, toast homefries and the aforementioned omelette. So this is a once and done for us. And yes as others have said this is a cash only place.
