The sauce with the brussel sprouts...OMG, delish!
Lynore S.

I would like to take a moment and simply state, Jam Bistro should be called "The Jam"! The food was amazing! They are in a sweet spot right close to the main thoroughfare of Rehoboth Beach! From when we entered at 5pm to the servers promptly seating us, I knew we were in for a treat! Jam Bistro was recommended to us by our knowledgeable server, Liam! He and the whole staff were very friendly! We even got to meet the sous chef, Jay! He's a smart and funny guy. He knows his way around the kitchen! The restaurant was homey and well-decorated with modern touches while paying homage to a time of the past residing inside what was once an old home! The dining room is filled with lots of natural light and the energy that spills out from the main road! Upstairs is a cool covered terrace bar for a happy hour bar and perhaps a way to take in the sunset! We'll be back for that experience. We decided to go two ways with our dinner. I chose the highly recommended short ribs and I am so glad I did! While my husband decided to make his meal like a tapas smorgasbord ordering several items from the appetizer menu to make his meal. Check out our photos. The short ribs were a delight, so tender and covered in a tantalizing gravy, set atop a gorgonzola cheese-infused mashed potato taste feast...the green beans were perfectly cooked and served to make the dish look artful as well as tasty! The best meal, in my opinion! My husband ordered the edamame guacamole and the gourmet-styled, crab-topped deviled eggs for our appetizers, YUM As we were finishing our noshes of delight, our meals arrived: batter-fried calamari, a side of gorgonzola mashed potatoes & a side of my hubby's favorite: Brussel sprouts. Of course, that's the same time my short ribs arrived! Excellent timing. I even shared my dish with my hubs! We finished off our meal with a raspberry sorbet for me and a cow-pie scoop of ice cream for the hubs! An amazing happy ending treat! The raspberry sorbet had their signature use of Jam-infused delight in it's texture. It was a tasty, chill sensation! I felt like a kid! Hubby had his favorite, a peanut buttery chocolate scoop of that cow-pie! Delish all around! The staff is very knowledgeable and attentive from the bar & host areas to the dining room! From what I understand there are more staff and happy more attentive employees now! Make sure you visit the bar for drinks upstairs before the dining room opens and journey downstairs for dinner. You will be amazed! And after dinner, you can walk the beach to take in the ocean breezes and the sunset! Perfection!

Roasted beat salad

Outside roof top is super casual and this day had a nice breeze. Sat at the bar and ordered the roasted beat salad (one of my go to items anywhere) with shrimp and a side of fries. The beat salad description was like many others- roasted, with goat cheese, vinaigrette, toasted nuts, etc. The dish arrived (see pic) and I was sort of put off by the appearance. It had a purple/mauve coloring which made me SMH. Then I tasted it and it was delicious. I figured out that the coloring was from incorporating the cheese into the vinaigrette creating a purple dressing. The shrimp were seasoned and cooked just right. The fries were as good as any! So just know the beat salad rocks (for beat fans) and you get to eat something purple while enjoying!

Kobe burger side of scalloped potatoes

Fantastic burger and scalloped potatoes! One of our new favorite spots for vacation. The kitchen crew is the best!

Walking in- The hostess was super friendly and welcomed us to Jam Bistro well. The atmosphere was very modern and beachy but the outside could use some work. Service- Considering there were scarce servers, the food came somewhat fast. However, other people around us ordered at the same time as us and got their food a lot later. Meal- The stuffed french toast was super tasty and didn't need any syrup. It wasn't too sweet but delicious and the strawberry's were very fresh and flavorful. The Kobe beef burger was good, but I ordered it medium and there was a spot that looked rare. That means it might have been frozen. The bun was a bit stale but it was overall a pretty good burger. The Eastern Shore Egg Benedict was very good and was devoured quickly. The scrapple was super tasty and came in thick slabs which is exactly how I think scrapple should be served. This place has excellent food and a great place to come for brunch. I can't wait to eat at Jam Bistro again, and maybe I'll see you there.

We wanted a nice meal on this Saturday night. The atmosphere here is lovely and the server was attentive. The food, however, was just a bit lacking. There were good orders... try the calamari that was lightly battered and delicious. However, the pasta with eggplant was so disappointing. The eggplant wasn't just undercooked but tasted spongy. It was definitely not a worthy-order. I liked my shrimp and grits with andouille sausage but my other girl ordered the chicken and it was actually pink in places. I'm sorry to report this but it is the truth. Hopefully, this review can address some of the issues and improve this business. Given what we we ate this night, I personally would not return. But every pace deserves a redemption, so maybe things might improve.

Delicious food that lived up to the hype by the chef who came out to talk to each table individually beforehand.

My husband and I love their burgers. They are cooked exactly to order, and are thick and juicy. Served on a delicious bun with fries.

We had such a wonderful experience here, despite one unfortunate miss with one of our entrées…read more We arrived about an hour early for our reservation and were able to find seats at the bar while we waited. From the moment we walked in, the host and owner were incredibly welcoming and kind. We started with a Hefeweizen and a Cosmo. While the Cosmo wasn't anything particularly unusual, it was honestly perfection -- exactly how a good Cosmo should taste. Once we were seated, we were taken care of by two servers who were both so friendly, attentive, and conversational. We shared the buttermilk fried oysters to start, which were delicious -- and actually my first time trying a fried oyster! For dinner, we ordered the lobster spaghettini and the New Bedford scallops. Unfortunately, something about the lobster spaghettini was really off. I have NEVER sent a dish back at a restaurant, but neither of us could eat it. I couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was, but the flavor seemed to be coming from the breadcrumbs throughout the dish, which tasted extremely stale (not just toasted) or maybe just too much miso? That being said, the way it was handled could not have been better. The owner was incredibly gracious and accommodating and immediately offered to exchange my dish. I ordered the scallops instead, and they were absolutely delicious. Beautifully seared, and the accompaniments worked so well together. One bad dish could have easily soured the experience, but it genuinely didn't. Between the oysters, scallops, drinks, and especially the hospitality, there was far more to compliment than criticize. The staff made us feel so welcome, and I really appreciated how kindly the situation was handled. We would absolutely return and recommend this restaurant. Sometimes how a restaurant responds when something isn't perfect says just as much as what happens when everything is -- and they handled it wonderfully.

Place is definitely more on upscale side for a restaurant in a beach town…read more They being said the food and the price reflect That Went with the steak and lobster Full disclosure not really s seafood person But now I can see why people order lobster Roasted potatoes might be one of the best I've ever had same goes for the peppercorn sauce and those things I actually know something about Looking for a change of pace drift is a nice pledge to stop and staff was above attentive

The service matched that energy perfectly: attentive without being intrusive, genuinely friendly,…read moreand clearly proud of what they were serving. And then there was the food. Every single dish we ordered was outstanding, no exceptions. Each plate showed real care in preparation, with flavors that were bold, balanced, and memorable. It's rare for an entire meal to hit without a single weak note, but that's exactly what happened here. Only recommendation? Add more N/A options (less juice forward). Maybe a Phony Negroni or something. What stood out most was how the whole experience came together--great food, great service, and great atmosphere rarely align this seamlessly. Shorebreak isn't just a solid meal out; it's the kind of place you start planning your next visit to before you've even left. Highly, highly recommend.

Our favorite meal of the trip…read more Decor/service: cute place with a little outdoor sitting area. The tables are a little close together for my liking. The staff was friendly and service was quick Food: their menu has gluten allergens clearly labeled. we tried numerous appetizers including the crab soup special, fancy fries, deviled eggs, and brussel sprouts. The sprouts were our least favorite of them as they were way to light on the sauce. The other 3 were all very good and I think my wife died over the soup's flavor. The chorizo meatloaf had each component good tasting but when combined was great. The short rib entree was both beautiful and tasty!

I want to start off by saying we used to LOVE THIS PLACE! Kitchen knows what they are doing- front…read moreof house- WOW Absolutely one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a bar. Lincoln, the bartender, was incredibly rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in providing any type of customer service. There were six of us, with five seats at the bar and one person standing. If they preferred that we sit at a table, that is completely understandable--but there is a professional way to communicate that. Instead, Lincoln never greeted us, barely acknowledged us, and when one of my friends simply asked what he was making, he literally rolled his eyes at her. From the start, we were made to feel like we were a burden. Then, instead of simply helping us find a table or taking our drink orders, a manager(we think) came over and started talking about the fire exit. The way she addressed one of our friends was completely inappropriate and came across as blatant fat-shaming. There was absolutely no reason to make a customer feel embarrassed or singled out because of their body. If there was a safety concern, it could have been addressed respectfully and privately. Another friend attempted to order a drink, and the manager told her she couldn't serve it. Again, instead of Lincoln stepping in and saying something as simple as, "I'll be happy to get that for you once I'm caught up," he said absolutely nothing. No apology. No explanation. No attempt to provide service. So we sat at the bar, were treated like an inconvenience, received nothing, and eventually left. I have never experienced such a complete lack of hospitality. Being busy is not an excuse for being rude. Having a group of six is not an excuse to roll your eyes at customers. And a safety concern is certainly not an excuse to make someone feel ashamed of their body. We came in ready to spend money and enjoy ourselves, and instead we were made to feel so unwelcome that we walked out without ordering a single thing. Management seriously needs to address the way customers are being treated here. Lincoln's attitude was unacceptable, and the manager's handling of the situation was even worse.
