I would highly recommend Jam-Audio. They went above and beyond to help me with my car audio needs. I got an updated radio and Apple CarPlay and Android car play device for my car. After the installation, there were other buttons on my steering wheel that accessed my dash panel and I needed this issue resolved. The guys at the shop spent time figuring out the problem, called around for resolutions, ordered the adaptor and installed it at no charge. Everything works on my steering wheel now even the radio buttons and love that I have Carplay options. I am so appreciative of good, thorough service! read more

Paid $1,500 for speakers plus install. They did everything wrong. Amp was installed literally right behind the deck and started overheating on day 1. I took it apart myself to check what the problem was, then I noticed they didn't give me the parts that they charged me for. They literally just spliced a couple of wires together and charged me $200+ for an LC7i that was NOT INSTALLED in the car. In the end I took all the speakers out and took them in for a refund. The owner was full of crap though and only gave me a couple hundred dollars for all the parts after he charged me MUCH MORE for them. He claimed he had only charged me a hundred twenty for the front speakers when he literally wrote out on paper the week before that they were $300 plus. I remember quite clearly how he wrote it all up and itemized what each item would be, but it was handwritten and he didn't give me a copy ahead of time. The subwoofer he tried telling me was only worth $250 after he charged me close to $500 for it. They don't give any receipts that itemize anything and they play a lot of games to make it seem like it's all on the 'up and up'. I won't even bother describing anymore. It was one giant rip-off and I wouldn't recommend this shop to anybody. I had to have all the work they did undone by someone else, then I had to take the car to the dealer to repair the wiring they screwed up as the car was giving all kinds of error codes and whatnot so nobody would touch it until the dealer fixed it. Then eventually I had new speakers installed elsewhere. I ended up spending many thousands for what are basically simple speakers and a small amp all because these guys are scammers and don't know what they're doing. read more

This guy has to be the worst tinter I've ever came across! First he got a bunch of debris under the tint and the tint started coming up in a couple spots. Showed it to him and he said he would replace it which is why I didn't leave a review the first time. He replaced it with the wrong tint and still had a third of debris under the tint. Had the tint verified that he did use the wrong tint the second time. Hands down the worst tinter!!! read more

When I was inside paying for the speakers I had installed, the owner was also at the counter next to David but was acting very strange and was not friendly. I complimented his nice shop but he was unresponsive and stared angrily at his computer screen. I think he thought I was going to rob the store or something. Rather discomforting behavior. I was recommended to go to Jam Audio for window tint from a glass company, so looked no farther. I was a little freaked out when I read some of the negative reviews. However, I had a good experience w/ tint. They started and ended on time, which was important to me, and advised the correct amount of tint for my vehicle. Made a 9am appointment and communicated to the the owner that I only had a couple hours to spare. When I showed up the next morning Chris was a no show. At about 9:30am I asked his colleague if he could call Chris to see if he was coming in to which he responded "I did not make the appointment with you, it's his business". Yes, but you work for the company and your company was a no show to an appointment which is extremely unprofessional. This gentleman clearly has no idea what proper customer service is. I know it wasn't his fault but he could have offered an apology and tried to solve the situation rather than be rude and closed off. I recommend keeping this guy in the garage rather than customer facing. Still haven't heard from Chris with an apology. Hard to believe this business has such a high rating. The one thing I would say is, I was told it would take about 3 hours to install and it was over 5. I planned my day around the estimate, so that was frustrating. I called Jam Audio for a quote on a compass for my Subaru. He (?) told me that it wasn't really feasable because car compasses just don't work; but then he mentioned something about a windshield compass that might work. He ordered it for me. When I picked it up, a man gave me this tiny box with a $4 stick-on boat compass. I was horrified, but decided not to make a scene. So I foolishly pulled out my wad of money - over $80 in 20's - my weekly allowance. (This place has posted a Bible quote on the wall beside the cash register; it sure fooled me!) He said: "That will be $20" - no tax". Like a fool, I just gave it to him, even though I knew iI was being ripped off. But of course when I got home, the compass does not work at all, and I didn't get a receipt. I am 70 years old and still work 2 jobs. This $20 is 2 hours' pay for me. They made quite a profit off my stupidity. (must be Trump supporters) Don't trust these people. read more

I've tried several time to get together with them so it could be rectified but they're either not answering the phon or they're busy, I ask to set up an appointment and was to to just call back. Made a July 8, 2019 9 AM appointment to have new cd receiver installed in wife's Subaru Outback. Owner was not there. Technician installed the new unit. Very hot day. Upon leaving tried to adjust temperature and turn on A/C. Heat control knob was bound up...I didn't try to move it. Immediately returned to the JAM shop and told the technician. Suggested to him that he needed to pull the installation and check it. Instead he dropped the under-dash panel and then forced the heat control knob. Then told me that the problem was fixed. Rather than argue with the tech, I took the vehicle for a diagnosis to my independent Subaru mechanic at Warren Auto Services in Warren, Maine. The mechanic found that upon reinstallation of the receiver/heat control front dash panel the technician had misrouted the heat control cable (Subaru Part # 72331AG020) to the air blend door. When the technician forced the heat control knob, he kinked the internal cable and damaged it beyond repair. The part was not in stock ($15), and we needed two working vehicles, so I had the mechanic button everything back up until a cable could be ordered. The diagnosis cost me $75. Installation of a new cable will cost at least another $100. (Subaru dealership quoted $175). I am going to ask the owner, Chris, of JAM Audio to cover the cost of the diagnosis and repairs ($175-200 minimum)....providing the technician did not damage the heat control module. That part is about another $240. I talked with the JAM technician by telephone on July 10 and explained what he had done wrong. He said only the owner can help you, and he is on vacation until next week. Meanwhile, during very hot and foggy weather my wife's vehicle has no heat control, no windshield defogging control, and no ability to access A/C. The technician claimed to have extensive experience with Subaru installations, but this error was a novice mistake that should never have happened. I am posting this as an interim review until I can confer with the owner Chris in regard to compensation for repairs. At this point I do not have confidence in the mechanical skills of the JAM shop. Once burned, twice shy. I purchased this new cd receiver installation as a gift for my wife, but this really spoils it. She has had to use my car for work, and she is not happy. I am posting this on July 15. When I called JAM this morning... "Chris is not here....". I believe I am going to dispute the credit card charge for the JAM service on the grounds that JAM damaged my vehicle and did not perform the service to acceptable standards of care and competence. read more
