If I could give this restaurant a zero, I totally would. I've been going there since I was a kid, but recently I've had a couple of run-ins with this older lady with brownish / grey hair . I went in with my uncle to help him order, and as soon as I walked out, I heard her tell a coworker, "Wow, she's really gotten fat." Is this how we treat customers? Is this what jaliciense is about--body shaming? It's such a nasty thing to say to someone who's dealing with health issues. Then today, January 12th, I called to place an order, and she was messing it up and getting annoyed. I ended up passing the phone to my mom, and she repeated the order, but it was still wrong. The lady got mad and said, "Chinga tu MADRE," which means "f your mother" in English. I went in and asked if she just said that, and she straight-up confirmed it! She even suggested we handle it outside. What a way to run a business! I asked if there was a manager around, and she just smirked and said there wasn't. This place is slept on! My family and I love this place! My favorite is the Chile verde burrito! So fire. I love learning from the Spanish speaking ladies to order my food. Definitely, language barrier, but I love it!! Great authentic learning experience. Microwaved Chile Rellano? I can't believe this place. Most Mexican food "hole in the wall" are really good. This place is the exception. First off their food is EXTREMELY oily. We ordered their nachos, tacos and Chile Rellano. Even the nachos has oil all at the bottom. While we were there waiting for our order we watched them as microwaved the Chile Rellano. Not once but twice! The pulled out the Chile out of a plastic sealed package. Microwaved it. Then pour sauce over it and re-microwaved it. I have ordered same thing 3 times and I got to tell you, delicious. Chilaquiles (mild spice, little kick to it), eggs (over medium), rice and beans & Mexican cheese. Now I haven't tried anything else but this plate is good and at times I have made two meals out of it. Hope to try other things in the menu and let you guys know. You really have ask yourself what am I trying to eat? Been going to this spot since I was in highschool. Quality fluctuates a bit and there has been some weird eras depending on the cooks, I recall after cross country back in 2012 and walking miles to get home I'd walk by this spot and couldn't help myself to a burrito. The burritos are some if not the best in town hands down along with the sauce. Accompany it with a cold beer of your choice and it's paradise. Anyone complaining about the grease is hilarious get a veggie burrito if you mind it so much. The tacos are not the best although sauce makes up for it. Just like some of the other yelpers I also experienced rude customer service. I asked for a burrito and the " lady asked me "what kind of meat?" I asked "what kind of meat is there available?" And then she said in a not so nice tone "it's listed on the menu" she saw I was struggling to see the menu and she finally told me the meats that were available. I choose to get the nachos and I was surprised at how fast it took to make nachos, but that doesn't make up for how it tasted. I would have rather gotten taco bell nachos. Because they gave me near cold meat and a bunch of the meat scrap with the squishy white parts which was cold. I immediately threw it Away and walked out. I was planning on getting the tacos, but my plans rarely go according to plan. I like burritos so much that it somehow feels like I'm cheating on burritos if I get a taco at a place that sells burritos. So I ended up getting a burrito at a place that specializes in tacos. I know that may be cringe worthy to some people. It's like going to In N Out Burger to just get the coffee. In an ideal world I would have gotten tacos from a taco place and I wouldn't have ordered beer for my buddy and I, especially because I don't like beer that much. We don't live in an ideal world though. While I wasn't too crazy over the burrito and beer, I was crazy over the sauce that accompanied the burrito. The sauce coming together with the burrito really made it worth while. The next time I come back here, I'd like to think that I would try the tacos. To be completely honest though, I don't know if I'll ever be able to betray burritos like that. The only way I see myself trying the tacos here is if someone surprises me with tacos. They make great food in a hole in the wall setting and sometimes they may be more comfortable with other customers than the gringos. But I'm everyone's favorite gringo so I always get a smile. My usual order is 4 street styled al pastor tacos...sets me back with tax a little more than $7. wonderful and filling. No refillable soda here so I usually order to go but if you eat in, they will bring you some chips (sometimes). I like the cooked carrots that come with the tacos. This spot used to be my favorite but over the past two years it gotten bad. The service sucks! If you call in a order they will just say "Ok" and hang up right away with out repeating my order or even giving me a chance to say my name! The hours they are open are incorrect online and on the door. They don't have a solid hours for operation. I've been there many times around 7 pm and they are close already. If you're looking for Mexican food that is relatively inexpensive then this is the spot. However, the quality of food is a struggling average. The reason I'm giving it three stars is because the employees are NOT very friendly and the bathroom is always disgusting and missing soap add/or paper towels. This is my fave Burrito spot in Morgan hill. The Customer service kind of sucks. Thats why I'm giving them 3 stars. We can't ask for extra salsa or carrots without getting a "look" like I'm asking for some of their pay check or something. Its not all the employees just 1 in particular. If you don't mind bad customer service and want some good Mexican food try them out! GOOD LUCK! Maybe You will get someone friendly. *If this place had a salsa bar I wouldn't mind the bad customer service I was reading some other reviews saying there is no lock on the bathroom door. Horrible service and food. I ordered a vegetarian burrito, carne and chicken.... I asked for 3 things only in the chicken burrito and she put them all in the side. Then charged me for 2 extra sour cream and rice which I did not ask for and a half of avocado which again I did not ask for. She wouldn't fix the mistake at all or even try and offer me a refund or compensate for the over charge. I'm very picky when it comes to eating the food of my people. Sadly, this restaurant is below par. The wife ordered a shrimp tostada and nachos. I ordered nachos as well, a veggie burrito and a large horchata. The tostada my wife ordered was store bought and tasted kind of stale. The shrimp were ok. Nothing to praise about but were satisfying. The chips for nachos, also store bought, were not exciting either. We've had better nachos from little league fields compared to this establishment. The beans on the nachos were bland, no flavor and tasted like they were from a can. The cheese and the other toppings (sour cream, jalapenos) were good. I ordered the large horchata and with me, horchata can be a hit or miss. Sadly, it was a miss. The horchata was very watery and felt like it could have used some more cinnamon to it. It's not the first time I've had bad horchata and it won't be the last. I didn't have a chance to eat the burrito since I was dissapointed with the nachos and the horchata. Worst taco place in Morgan Hill. So today I made a phone order after not going there for a very long time because of having a bad experience. I place my order I get there only to find out whatever I ordered they did not have. Last time I went the place was literally empty I was the only customer there, placed my order and got my order completely wrong. I also noticed today that these employees are not trained at all in food handling. the cashier was handling money and food,disgusting! I don't think these people get any training whatsoever.
