This is like a hole in the Wall restaurant. It's really cheap and they give you a very good quantity of food. The drinks are great well at least the alcoholic drinks. They have juice for the kids. After a few visits I'm just giving up I ordered my lunch and I add some empanadas (shrimp) I told the waitress the empanadas were burnt and she just gave me an excuse, but never offered to replace or remove it from my check . If I could rate 0 stars I would. We were a party of 10 people so we called beforehand to see if we could reserve a table. They said "no reservations allowed". We get there and were assisted by a lady who told us to choose between 2 available tables. We chose one and as we were sitting, a very rude, short lady with blonde highlights comes out and shouts, "They can't sit there, those two tables are reserved". She screamed so loud that everyone in the place turned to look at us! I asked, "I thought no reservations were allowed". Which another waitress answered to, "Oh, but she reserved them because they are 20 people and she knows them." This is one of those places where they have preferences and do not care about the clients. This was our first time here and definitely the last. After that very rude incident, we left and went to Los Juniors Mariscos. Excellent service there. You will not regret. read more

To the point that they screamed back at my dad when he asked them for a different container for his food. Even better for the price! 20$ for a whole molcajete FULL of crab legs, fish, shrimp, octopus and clams w/ side of rice and tortillas. It is pretty spicy but the good kind if you know what I mean. Definitely recommend especially since they offer outdoor dining. Staff was super friendly and nice as well :) left full as hell and SATISFIED. On our way back from Monterey we were recommended to try this place by our friends and oh man were glad we did. Food: marisco molcajete is a deff 11/10. Shrimp empanadas 9/10. Bacon shrimp 9/10. Not impressed with their food or the service (although the pineapple seafood "La pina" was delicious but overflowing in "caldo/juice" to the point that I was surprised it didn't spill upon arrival and when they picked it up from the table). Campechanas were bland (no cilantro no avocado), we thought adding a lot of lemon and black pepper might help but they didn't have the pepper. They dropped them off without asking if you needed anything, we couldn't get anyone's attention for ketchup, hubby had to go down and look for one himself. Then we asked waiter for lemon and a butter knife to cut oysters for my 6year old and never again did we see our server (not even upon asking for our bill). We found this spot while exploring downtown Gilroy. The food was hands down some of the best seafood I've ever eaten! And they are NOT skimpy with their portions. They offered outdoor dining during the times of Covid and the servers all wore masks. Everything was wiped down before we were seated. Service was excellent and our waitress made excellent recommendations, describe every dish as we ordered it and was very friendly! First time here, to start you walk inside the restaurant and nobody greets you. There is no menu you have to ask to be helped if you need anything: the shrimp cocktail wasn't very good. It had no taste the juice tasted like water, I asked the waitress if they could remake it for me. They never did.. one of the waitress came out and told me they wouldn't make it any different and that I should order something different. I understand, so I ordered some fries which I never got. Nobody ever came back to check on me either when I was ready to order something different. The inside of the restaurant looks disgusting, there's a mess with flies and dirty dishes everywhere out in the open. I ordered the aguachiles and they were amazing! I love spicy food so it was perfect. If you don't like or can't handle spicy food this might not be for you. I love putting more lime to it and even more hot sauce at times such as tapatío but that's my preference. I do think this place needs more waitresses or help but over all great place and can't beat those prices. read more

Yelpers we all know better than to take advice from rookie yelpers. It is hurtful to give a negative review to a business with out at least giving the place a second chance. I have visited this establishment several times. The food is very good and the price point is very reasonable compared to other Mexican sea food restaurants. We have yet to come across any staff members there that is not willing to take care of any ones needs. I say don't down a business unless you have given it a second chance. I defend any establishment that is unfairly judged. Especially from yelpers who have less than 20 yelps under there belts and all the yelps they have are all negative. Love this place. Very clean I'm very picky where I eat. However, I recommend this place for good Mariscos. I tried the empanadas and aguachile with the green sauce. It was medium spicy but I love spicy food. Our food was ready and we were greeted as soon.as we arrived. Very nice and friendly staff. Our food and drinks were there promptly. The restrooms are very clean too. My second time here, I ordered to go and my order was perfect and on time. Ready as soon as I arrived. Prices are reasonable. It depends how you like it....I love the seafoods, Shrimp Molcajete is excellent to me, I like to get my shrimp fix here with a few other pieces of sea food, oysters on the half shell I love cuz they have different ways they prepare, they serve with this jalapeño paste type chile....mmm good & hot...this place can get pretty busy on the weekends, plan to wait at least 20-35 minutes for your food but to me it's worth it! read more
