The place was about half full at lunchtime but we still snagged a nice table in the corner. Our server was very helpful and explained what certain items on the menu were. Before we got the food we ordered, though, we were provided small free bowls of a simple shrimp and garlic broth. Simple but delicious, and a great way to start off the meal. For my main, I got the Chicken Inasal w/ Atsara. (It's got the name of the restaurant in it, so I really had no choice.) It's a very tasty dish consisting of a perfectly-cooked piece of chicken, a heaping pile of garlic rice, and a small, zesty coleslaw. Everything is really, really good, and it wasn't long before I cleaned my plate. And because we're pigs, we also shared a plate of the Sizzling Sisig ("Crispy Pork with Onion, Chili and Calamansi"). As advertised, this arrived to the table sizzling. It's a seriously tasty dish. The crispy bits of pork combine with the other components to create a completely addictive dish. I could see myself vegging out in front of the TV with this concoction. Bella's Inasal is a terrific little place. I'm really glad we checked it out.

Visited Berto's to beat this summer heat and left feeling satisfied. The workers are very friendly…read moreand polite. The place was bright and airy as well. We ordered their Halo-Halo, Palabok and their Berto's Fried Chicken. Halo-Halo (5/5) is hands down the best summer dessert. It's so refreshing and had the perfect blend of sweetness and creaminess. They added the perfect amount of ube ice cream, caramel flan and a mixture of jelly, red beans and sugar palm fruit at the bottom. It's a must-try treat. Palabok (2/5) was okay. It was a bit dry and not as saucy as we would've preferred. It could use some chicharron (pork rinds). There's not much protein in this meal other than the boiled egg which was a let-down. We also noticed that some of the noodles have crisped up as well which must've been from the heat lamp/steam table. The dish could use some shrimp and topped with some fried garlic chips. Berto's Fried Chicken (5/5) was delicious. It was fresh, tender and juicy. It had the right amount of seasoning that didn't make it overwhelmingly salty. The garlic fried rice and fried eggs were a great combination with chicken. Any of their breakfast items have always been good.

Such a cute and delightful spot! Service was fast, friendly and helpful. I had a lot of questions since it was my first time there. They answered all my questions and had good recommendations. They make some great goodies with a Filipino spin! For my first visit, I tried mini sausage buns, Cinnamada (cheesey cinnamon rolls!) and cake slices (the San Rival is ). Everything was beautiful and flavourful. Must return to try more.

I'm Filipino so I always get super excited when I stumble across small Filipino owned bakeries and man did this place blow me away. They are a little pricy here imo (for the empanadas) but you will not be disappointed. I bought a dulce de leche cupcake and I'm usually a frosting hater so I was a little skeptical since it looked heavy on the frosting, but once I bit in I was delighted by how light and moist it was! I also got one chicken and one pork empanada and they were both delicious. My favorite between the two was the pork. The crust was rich and flaky and the filling was super authentic, reminding me of what I've eaten growing up. The interior is also so cute, it smells amazing once you step inside, and the girl with the hijab working the register was really nice as well. I ended up purchasing a 6 pack of half chicken half pork empanadas to take home to my family!! 10/10 will be back soon :)
