Went here for the first time today for lunch (Friday). Ordered the Bangsilog ($6.99) and Fried Pork Lumpia (4 for $2.00). Oh so sarap! Fish was the perfect size for 1 person. I had my food to go but while I sat waiting for it, atmosphere is a cozy, family style. No line, didn't wait long for the food. Definitely will be back to try the other menu items and when I'm craving authentic Filipino food!

Excellent filipino foods selection for lunch or dinner and reasonably priced. Will definitely recommend and go back.

The chrispy pata (Chrispy pork shank) was very tasty. I will definitely try some other dishes.

Their "TikTok Chicharon" post featured their incredibly crunchy and crispy pork belly Chicharon. While they no longer make their own guacamole, the Chicharon is so delicious on its own without it. They were even featured on BlogTO. Try it and you'll see why this place makes some of the best Chicharon in the city! Mang Mar's Chicharon is also a Filipino food takeout shop dishing out sisig, dinuguan, dinakdakan, kare kare, caldereta, lechon kawali, crispy pata, various other dishes and all sorts of snacks. Staff here are superb in this family-run shop. They're friendly and the food is delicious. The flavours of food from different provinces in the Philippines, culinary capitals like Pampanga, Pangasinan and Davao, are reflected in their menu. The crispy Lechon was the first platter to be eaten up by our ravenous family, next to the fried pork rinds of course, along with their yummy noodles. Mang Mar's Chicharon is really worth a visit.

When we arrive there, we had found out that there was a previous party that had booked the venue but was suppose to end at 5pm. The other party had extended an hour and continued to stay, already going in an hour of my family's booking time. I had later found out that this other party was the co-owners party. The co-owner was making a speech saying how we are celebrating two events and this is a shared space. Mind you, my family had booked the event space for her birthday, the other party had over stayed. It took another family to tell the owner that we would like to have our own space now to celebrate. Our babies were getting fussy due to the loud music and the off pitch singing the other party was doing. Extremely unprofessional on the owners side. If you're running business, keep it professional and personal separate. Owner should respect customer's bookings and should know when to kick people out. Out of all the Filipino karaoke bars I have been, this is probably the worst establishment and I highly would not recommend this place to anyone.
