Overall the food was poor at best. Pulled pork was very disappointing. Service was good.

This was some decent bbq. The reason for a 4 star review is because the portion sizes were huge! I ordered a two meat combo with sausage and spare ribs. I had close to a pound of sausage and about 8 or 9 ribs which was about the size of a whole slab. It also came with 2 sides which I ordered okra and tater babies. I did not eat all of anything I was served. The reason this is not a 5 star review is because the ribs were a little tough and somewhat dry. My guess is that they were smoked at too high of a temperature to decrease the cooking time in the smoker. They had plenty of good smoke flavor, however they lacked that moist fall off the bone texture that I just love in a rib. When I first started smoking meats, my ribs were a lot like this. Now that I have experimented quite a bit I am pleased with the results. I would expect that a restaurant that has been around as long as Jakes has been would have a better quality rib. All in all this is a great place for some Q! I definitely got my Q fix at Jakes. The side items were excellent and the portion sizes were huge. You definitely get your money's worth and won't, or I should say that you shouldn't be able to leave hungry. Everything was delicious, even with my complaints about the texture of the ribs. Notice I had no problem eating several of them. I just couldn't eat anywhere close to the amount of food they served me. I will be back to eat here next time I am in Chickasha! read more

One star for quantity! Your dog will be happy!! Probably worst "bbq" I've ever had. Prices are normal bbq prices.

Very good good and portions waitress was amazing and did everything to our expectations and got everyone food out hot and fresh. Ribs were amazing thank you to Jake's and our waitress Leighann for being amazing !!! read more

Long waits, especially on busy nights. Fantastic portion sizes for the price. Could easily make it two or meals for leftovers. Great Chicken Fried Steak, hot, tender, and not chewy at all. Melts in your mouth. Completely disappointed in the salad bar - very few fresh choices and they use bagged preservative laden lettuce. Carrots and cucumbers were the only veggies options: shredded carrots were dried out, cucumbers were transparent & slimy. Also very disappointed in the side dish options, very few vegetables that aren't fried or are already considered starches. When I asked for lemon for my iced tea, I was given packets of lemon juice. Strange. read more

The food is great, the selections are abundant, the portions are huge, they are fast and the prices are good. I went there for lunch and dinner on the same day and the place was packed both times. Must be for the food because the staff is not so friendly. read more

Nasty place. The east dining room always smells like sewer. I will never go back. read more

Lmao all the ones w 5 stars are lying there was shit floating in our drinks ewieeee and it taste yuckie

Great food, and a big portion specially the French fries. I wish they had more beef options and turkey! But over all I would come back to eat here! read more

Jake's Rib - Barbeque Near Me - Chickasha, Oklahoma

Gross, gross, gross. I've grown up going to Jake's and I remember it being good. Our food today was NASTY! The meats were DRY, the food is bland and the breading on the fried pickles/cheese bites is so thick it makes the food inside damp and soggy. For 4 people to eat, each have a soft drink, including the tip... our total was about $80.00! There is no way our meal was worth that much money! Save yourself the money and awful food experience and eat somewhere else... *If you like Ranch, don't taste theirs. It is super sugary and does NOT taste right. We asked about it and the waitress told us it is butter milk ranch... it honestly tasted like a cup of sugar was added and stirred in. Side Note: our waitress was very friendly and attentive. She was the only good thing about our experience. read more

Jake's Rib gives you more food per dollar than any other BBQ place I've ever been to. Their family meal comes with 4 meats, 6 large sides, and 4 of their desserts. None of the food really stands out in terms of quality, but it all ranges from decent to good, and when there's that much food staring you in the face, it's really hard to complain. If it's your first time going, then you absolutely must order their curly fries as a side. If you've got four people with you, that one side will be plenty for all of you. If you're by yourself, fire up the roflcopter, because the amount of fries they give you is hilariously huge. I've read complaints about the staff, but our server Misty was wonderful. She was very patient with us as we made the difficult decisions of which meats and sides to get, and she was also very eager to answer all of our questions. If she is indicative of what all the other servers are like, then I'd argue that Jake's Rib has some pretty darn good service. Check out is admittedly slow, but that's because the hostess is also the cashier. That means that if people are coming and going at the same time, there can be a little deadlock, but that's less the hostess's fault and more just the nature of their system. If you're looking for the pinnacle of excellence in Chickasha, then this ain't it. But if you're mad hungry for some BBQ and fried things and just want to stuff your face like the world is about to end, then Jake's Rib is perfect. read more

You definitely need to bring your appetite to Jakes. The corn nuggets are my favorite. Food is definitely not terrible, not the greatest meal I've ever had but we do enjoy Jakes every time we eat it. read more

Let me just start with the fact that you won't leave hungry. The chicken fried steak is huge and tasted great. Mash potatoes and gravy are very good and not from a box. The fried pickles were pretty good. Maybe a touch over cooked. Ribs were good but lacked much Smokey flavor and were a touch on the dry side. Coleslaw was bland. I'm giving this 4 star for service and huge portion sizes... really too much food honestly. Food was overall generally speaking good. read more

Calling all Yankees Fans !!! Don't bother going for bbq anywhere else! Visiting from New York, the only MUST DO on our list is a visit to Jake's every year. The food is amazing and the staff makes you feel like family! The rib dinners are the best and the cherry cobbler with ice cream was superb. Go Yankees ! A big N.Y. hug from us to you! read more

Nothing on the menu is outstanding but everything is really good. They give you tons of food. Been eating here for many years and will continue for many more! read more

We're just passing through Chickasha found Jake's rib on yelp thought we would try it out as we wanted something besides fast food. pulled pork sandwiches were huge and very good will go again next time we're in that area read more

Called in a to go order, was told 30 minutes for two chicken strip sandwiches and an order of fries... okay I get it, they're probably busy. Get there after 30 minutes just to be told they haven't even dropped our food to fry. It takes almost an hour to get our food, then get home just to find out our food is severely overcooked. I think I'll be taking my business elsewhere next time. Sadly disappointed read more

Wow.. ribs were so good and tender and juicy. I love good ribs and I reccomend Jake's Ribs. The service was great and friendly. The portions for the price was excellent. Keep up the great work cooking these ribs. read more

All this (see pic) for 12.99 at Jake's Rib in Chickasha. 4 of us couldn't finish the ONE order of fries. And the ribs alone are worth the drive. Ditto on the hot links. As for the pink color mentioned by one reviewer: this is perfectly normal for smoked meat-they are not under cooked. read more

Jake's Rib - See teebark's review. - Barbeque Near Me - Chickasha, Oklahoma

Portion size was good. Server was great (She was attentive, kind, fast). Ribs were way to greasy. Fries were greasy. Cashier didn't even acknowledge us when we came in. I wasn't aware that greeting was ONLY for the host or hostess. Exiting patron made a inquiry asking the host if Chickasha was "going down hill "when a family of color were exiting and a family of color was entering, the host replied "Yes". I realize its a small town, but its 2017. Segregation was wrong, is wrong and will always be wrong. read more

Overrated is the story. Just not impressed. Chicken was undercooked and made me sick looking at it. Yeah they will throw down a basket full of Curley fries which is something people remember. For the price of barbecue I expect much better food quality, more meat and less cheap curly fries. Not impressed and can think of a dozen places in OKC metro that are better which makes this not worth the drive. read more

Delicious BBQ with a magic atmosphere. Great for large gatherings. I think this place is top notch.

I'm a NY transplant to Oklahoma City, and I couldn't agree more with this Yankees fan! We regularly drive to Chickasha from Oklahoma City for Jake's ribs. read more

Some stuff tasted ok but almost all the food tastes microwaved and some stuff tasted bland, the reason I won't give it one star is because the service and the wings were great read more

Portion sizes are good. Sides are great. I don't think bbq is pit smoked and charred?

A must place to eat when in Chickasha or near the exit off of the turnpike. As others have stated the servings are HUGE. This includes the sides as we received a side of curly fries enough for three people! In our party we had an order of ribs and catfish. Again, I could've share one of these dishes as the portions were big. Jake's barbeque's pork ribs which were nice and tender. There was about 6 to 7 ribs on my plate. Also the three catfish fillets were also nicely fried as there was no oil residue on the plate. We arrived at 445pm and the place was already becoming full. read more

I mean, for what it is, it's good. It's the kinda small town BBQ spot that goes for quantity over quality. That said, it's not bad. We made an excursion outta it with 10 friends. Ended up getting two dinners of the 4 meat, 6 sides....and tried pretty much everything they had to offer. Nothing stood out as particularly phenomenal nor terrible. Again, the sides are all the typical "frozen and dumped in a fryer" kinda stuff, but they satisfy that craving when all you want is fried okra, etc. The brick of fries was a little disappointing. Not crispy enough so it just seemed greasy. read more

Very good food, dining area could use upgrade, had a fly problem. The steaks are big and tasty!

I am definitely a fan and have been for over 13 years. They have great food and plenty of it! I do not like their water softener system and never have. This is the only downfall for me, if I ever tell hubby "no" don't want to go there for dinner or lunch it's because of that. I'd rather take my own drink in. My answer is to just get a bottle of water. read more

Very disappointed. Thought it would be better from the reviews. Hubby had brisket sandwich it was tough and no flavor. I had pulled pork sandwich with slaw on top. It was a mushy mess. The only thing that we liked was the BBQ sauce. Ohhh and the water was really nasty. Cross this place off our come back to places!!!! read more

Jake's ribs is awesome Everytime I'm in chickasha Oklahoma I have to eat there.lots of food won't go away hungry guarantee!!

I've eaten a lot of barbeque all over the country. I did some searching for review on the net and they were mixed but the hotel staff said it was great so i decided to give it a try. I ordered the pulled pork dinner with potato salad and green beans. The pork was pretty bad, It was edible but drowned in sauce. No smoke flavor at all The potato salad was pretty good. The green beans were straight out of a can. I only tried the hot bbq sauce. It's pretty bad. And I love most styles of bbq sauce with the exception of really sweet sauces. I have never in my life seen portions like this. They put cracker barrel type places to shame. An order of fries is literally a whole fryer basket of fries. A chicken fried steak dinner is two steaks. Draft beers are $1. Buy 3 and the 4th is free. I might go back cause I'm in town for a week. But I won't get the pork again. Maybe rids or chicken fried steak. Service was fine as far as i was concerned. read more

This is one of the best places I've ever been to my surprise I ordered the chicken fried steak and it came out and there was two of them so there is no problem with food... anyway they are really good and lots of it that comes with your meal read more

Ribs were cold, tough and bland. Kid got a burger that was good. Fries are amazing and huge.

Ordered spare rib plate with mashed potatoes and green beans. Also got hot wings for an appetizer. The wings were okay a bit too much breading for my taste. I didn't expect my green beans to be fried so I had about 3 of those, as for the ribs they were pretty awful, some parts squishy on one end and on the other dry and tough. The only thing that was decent was the mashed potatoes. Barely ate anything and did NOT want a to go box. Probably won't come back. The water tastes pretty funky as well. read more

good food and most food for your money. great place to brings lots of people for a nice bbq. grew up eating here. over 30 years and still the smae quality and quantity of food. read more

Portions are generous but the place is run down and hadn't been updated in years. The quality of food seems to become less desirable every time I visit. The sliced brisket is a classic but it's literally rubbery. There are less known BBQ places that are much better in the area. Don't be fooled by generous portions for good food. read more

It is impossible to walk away hungry from this place. The portions are HUGE and not a single one a healthy option, but I now realize that people go to Jakes for food that tastes good and don't worry about the long term results. My family went for lunch and two out of three felt it was so good that we ended up going again for dinner. I thought I would opt for the salad bar, but found only three veggies on it when I arrived. So there are officially NO HEALTHY OPTIONS- just to you know up front. Steaks are great and there are a zilliion options for fried items, so just enjoy and don't worry about it, you can buy your healthy food tomorrow. read more

Lots of food for the price. Great steaks, ribs and catfish. Try the dillo fries. You'll love em.
