I stopped in alone for lunch. There was a clear sign stating the bathroom is for customers only, which set a slightly unwelcoming tone right away. I waited about 5 minutes at the bar before being greeted by a woman who seemed to be moving very slowly and was dressed extremely casually in ripped jean shorts. She was more engaged in a conversation with people at the corner of the bar than in taking my order, despite my attempts to get her attention. Once I finally got to order, the food was just okay. The salad wasn't very fresh, and the chicken fingers were mediocre . I've definitely had better elsewhere. While eating, I noticed several signs on the walls with sayings like "Sarcasm is one of the services we offer" and "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone." These signs, combined with the overall attitude, made the place feel unfriendly and uninviting. It seemed like the people working (likely the owners) weren't focused on creating a welcoming experience, and although the woman tried to smile at one point, it felt forced rather than genuine. Overall, the food was average at best, and the atmosphere wasn't very customer-friendly. I'd give Jake's Pub & Grill 2 stars out of 5. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for attentive service or a warm dining experience. read more

A group of 22 and 23 year olds went into Jake's last night. The bartender refused to serve them Even though they gave her legit IDs. She was extremely rude and nasty to all of them. I will never recommend this establishment to anyone or step foot in there ever. read more

This dated hole in the wall is brought together by the charismatic bartender/cook. The bar itself and its antiquated looks can be overseen by the great food and Shannon's Bartending skills this dynamic makes the trip worth it. I don't come in often, but you can tell the bartender takes to her craft by always treating her customer's with respect and bringing a smile to some glum faces of the customers at the bar. read more

Order the chicken finger plate, beef on weck, shaved steak or chicken wings. This is not the place to come if you are watching your figure. Straight up bar food with huge portions. I rarely leave food on my plate and I couldn't finish the chicken finger plate. No frills beer and drinks. No craft beers here. The prices are great, bartenders are awesome and you probably won't run into anyone you know. TVs are a little small and I don't believe they have HD cable. The owner is a great dude and has been updating the place to bring it out of the dark ages. Check the place out if you are looking for a rad dive bar just don't bring your d-bag friends. read more

WOWWWWYYYY! Seriously go there. it's a Dive and you might walk in walk right out, but turn around and sit down and eat! Their food is great! They have normal bar food, but it's amazing! I go there all the time with my family and we have never been disappointing. I recently went with my boyfriend and father. i got a chicken salad, my boyfriend got the sea food platter and my dad got the greens and beans with sausage over linguini. TO DIE FOR! My salad was huge and the chicken was great. I took half of it home for lunch the next day! The sea food platter was FILLED with clams, fish, fries, mac salad, and something else. This is a fired platter, so if you are in the mood for fried fish, this is where you want to go! (their fish fries are fabulous too). MY dad's greens and beans dish was gigantic. He is can pack it away, but even this plate was too big for him to finish! The staff is friendly, prices are suuuupppppeerrrr reasonable and food is really really great! The definition of a dive bar. That doesn't make it a bad thing, just know what to expect going in. Probably one of my biggest complaints would be is that often there is only one bartender. This leaves the bartender responsible for the bar and the tables. Waiting for a drink can be longer than needed. read more

I ordered a grilled chicken breast sandwich and onion rings. The grilled chicken sandwich was decent, but the onion rings where hard and dark brown indicating that they were probably using old frier oil, not good onion rings. As far as atmosphere, the owner is a real good guy. I wouldn't come back just to eat but its a good place to go if your just going for a drink with the locals, pretty much just a local bar. But another thing worth mentioning is the wings were pretty good, but like what I said above really just a local bar to grab a few drinks, socialize and down a few wings. read more

Go in here with a few people and decide to get some drinks. Bartender looks me right in the face and says "I've seen you here before I don't need your ID". We sit at a table right next to the bar and we're being stared at by people all night and not one of the designated drivers even thought of touching a drink. After I go up to order drinks for my buddies and I, I get accused by the owner of serving minors because I was "ordering a drink that wasn't a beer". I proceed to tell the owner that I enjoy the bar and would never serve a minor. The owner answers me and says "bullshit you never come in here". If I never come in here then how come I haven't been ID'd the last several times I've gone into the bar? The owner was also bartending the night prior when I was in there and as I was leaving said "don't be a stranger and come back soon". For a bar that is so worried about minors being served it's probably not a good idea for the bartenders to be drinking and sluring their words as well as not ID'ing everyone that comes in. read more
