The owner was enthusiastic about his food, and we even got to banter a bit when he was making my bowl. It's clear he takes pride in the local ingredients he uses, and it comes out nicely in the food. The bowl itself was nice and balanced - rich pork belly was supplemented nicely with fresh greens and a miso sauce that tied it all together. I need to take a moment and thank The Walking Jerk team for being a staple part of this community for me and my loved ones. I think the best part about eating here, is that I feel good afterwards. I feel healthier and like I can have a great day--it's always a great day after I eat here! It truly fills my soul with joy, inspiration, and positivity. I have never felt that way anywhere else. The holidays can be hard as a vegan, but The Walking Jerk has completely alleviated that issue for me and my family. We order their holiday meals at EVERY single holiday. I have to say the non vegans and heavy meat eaters cannot help themselves but to try the meals we bring with us--and they love everything they try. The location is impeccable and I always meet the most amazing people with extremely heartwarming and impressive stories while I'm waiting for my food. It was really filling and tasty. But the real winner from the cart after a few visits was the avocado spring roll, which was $3.50 and the size of a burrito. It was basically a giant fresh roll filled with avocado, lettuce, cabbage, mint, rice noodles, cucumber, carrot, and peanut sauce. We got the medium spicy sauce, and it had a fantastic kick to it.
