Food truck located on the Capitol square. The wild mushroom bibimbap is flavorful and delicious and is a nice change from my usual sandwich-style lunch. You can tell the Owner takes pride in the ingredients he uses and the food he is preparing.

Second time I've had lunch here, and it was on point! I was surprised to learn this food cart had not been reviewed on Yelp. The cook took five orders before he got to work. This worried me a bit, but he got our meals ready within less than five minutes--with the help of a blow torch! This surprised and satisfied me. It gave my pork a bit of a char, but wow, was it tender! The flavors of the Dashi Braised Pork Belly dish was light and savory. The portion is a bit on the small side for $9, but I'm finding that a trend with food carts anyhow. Loved both experiences here (food and service) and been trying to get my Hubs a taste. There are also vegetarian options.

New favorite food truck right here. In the words of my coworker - that was a deeply satisfying lunch. I don't give out five stars easily but this place is close! I'll probably second guess myself and will definitely update if the cart gets a little faster. Last week I tried both the short rib and pork shoulder tacos. They were excellent, but the short rib pot roast flavor profile was just beyond compare. I therefore went all in on that one again today! The flavors are bright and clean and complement each other so incredibly well. The crisp of the onions is the perfect finish. It's a one man cart and therefore it's just a bit on the slow side - it's worth it so if you have an extra few minutes stick out the line. I'd love to see an extra person handling orders and money for efficiency's sake, and then little shortcuts like using a culinary torch to get the tortillas finished maybe wouldn't be necessary. There are vegetarian and bowl options too that are screaming out for me to try them, so I'll be back next week. Go find this guy, and enjoy!

This place and soho are my go to food truck lunches. I absolutely admire what this guy does. Extrenely creative with the menu and you can genuinely tell how much thought goes into each one. Cool thing about the food here. He does a lot of sous vide- and I love anything sous vide. At first, I was discouraged by the flour tortilla as i prefer corn tortilla for tacos. I didnt think it would ve good, but the ingredients for each taco intrigued me, so I ordered them. I'm so glad I was wrong. The flour tortila compliments the ingredients and he adds so much food that a bigger tortilla is needed. It is crispy and soft. Just perfect. I got the dashi braised pork belly taco. Thank youu for adding the pickled carrots and radish. The colorful radish makes the taco even more appealing and its texture provides a great crunch that compliments the soft pork belly. The pork belly is glazed with miso and has been braised for hours. So soft. I love the addition of nori on anything really... i never would've thought to add soba noodles, so that was a pleasant surprise. I also got the braised pork shoulder taco. Also excellent, but my favorite is the dashi pork belly. The meat has been deliciously drenched in some kind of gravy. He adds pineapples to it to give it a sweet taste. Also added a crunchy chicharrone-like topping. I love it.

Amazing pork shoulder with rice and black beans and chicharron. The taste was delicious and fresh. This is a great discovery while I was roaming around Madison Capital Building.

    Wild Mushroom Bibimbap Bowl

Why haven't I heard of this food cart before?? Found them today at the Farmer's Market, and so glad that I did. The vegetarian menu is just as large as the meat eaters menu, which is not usually the case. I had the wild mushroom bibimbap bowl, and well...wow! Every component had it's own unique flavor, and the combination was beyond amazing. It clearly took A LOT of thought and work to build this dish. $8 for a big bowl. I was stuffed. The only downside is that it comes in a plastic bowl rather than something compostable. I took it home to recycle, but doubt that most poeps do so. Still giving them 5 stars, and I can't wait to find them again so I can try more of their menu!

We tried the pork shoulder bowl and it was amazing! Check out this food truck when at the farmers market.

We got the end of the brisket they were currently cutting, so likely had been cut hours before and left which likely lead it to be dry. The chicken was ok, not much flavor and was on the drier side. The sausage was the best option we tried, good balance of flavor. The cornbread was also dry. The potato salad had good flavor. The Mac and cheese was the best thing we tried. I'd comeback for the sausage and Mac and cheese. Service 3/5: this is an order at the counter and sit down style. We had never been here before and overall did not feel helped when we were ordering. The staff just started at us and asked what we wanted instead of helping us walk through the steps of how to order (meat first and then you choose your sides). It got challenging because there was a growing line and many of us felt the same way of not really knowing what to order. I had to ask for extra plates for our kiddos, and was a little confused about extra condiments and things that were available in the restaurant. Ambiance 4/5: the restaurant was clean and plenty of places to sit. We were in the restaurant with another family with kids, and our kiddos ended up doing friendly dinosaur roads to the family across the restaurant. We all had a really good laugh. Overall most of the meat was dry but we liked some of the sides. The staff could have been more helpful in ordering. This is a kid friendly restaurant in our experience and had plenty of room to accommodate larger parties.

What I got in reality was a microwaved (or maybe boiled?) pound of brisket instead. Tasted terrible - wish I would have just lit my $90 on fire so I'd at least get 15 seconds of enjoyment from it. Judge for yourself from the picture below. Pretty obvious this piece of brisket never came within a mile of a smoker or pitmaster. Run!

I visited Luang Prabang, a Lao-Thai cart on Library Mall, a few times earlier this year. They had a…read moreregular menu that included curries, noodles, and salads, but also a rotating daily menu, all at very affordable prices. The people working at the cart were really nice and accommodating, and were happy to modify any dish they could for ingredients that you can't or don't eat. The first thing I tried was the squash curry, which was a really generous portion size for $7, consisting of rice topped with a rich coconut milk-based curry filled with chicken, kabocha, and zucchini. It was really filling and tasty. But the real winner from the cart after a few visits was the avocado spring roll, which was $3.50 and the size of a burrito. It was basically a giant fresh roll filled with avocado, lettuce, cabbage, mint, rice noodles, cucumber, carrot, and peanut sauce. We got the medium spicy sauce, and it had a fantastic kick to it. Still can't believe something so large was only a few dollars, as it was such a great deal. Definitely worth trying this cart if you're looking for something to eat on campus.
