Wow! Have to agree with most of the other Yelpers, the food was really good. Tried the gyozas which were flaky on the outside and delicious. Also had the Tom Yum soup which was as good as I've had anywhere. They have a heat scale of 1-5 and I went with the 4 which was pretty hot but tasty (next time I'll go with a 3 lol). For the main dish we each tried the Broccoli Delight which was absolutely awesome. It's just broccoli with a choice of protein but the sauce is to die for. So glad we tried this place and we'll back soon...probably in a few days haha. read more

Great, little spot. We had the pad tai and some sushi. Both were excellent! They also have great tai iced tea. We usually take away, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to eat there, at the restaurant. Meh. $42 for delivery of two apps and an entree. I love larb, so it's hard to disappoint me, but this really did. It was tasteless and dry, and it was also warm, which I thought was odd because I've always had it served cold, which I prefer. It was edible but certainly not good. The panang curry was bland also. It was just veggies, which is what I ordered, but they were tasteless. The egg rolls were obviously taken straight from the freezer and dumped into the fryer. Blech. Really Just not good food. Great addition to the pretty lackluster Thai food in Longmont. Ordered take out, but think I'll try to eat in next time to take advantage of the conveyor belt options. I ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken, Pad See Ew and Massaman Curry with beef, and the coconut rice. I am super sensitive to spicy food, and I was sharing this with my young son, so was glad that it was not spicy at all. In fact, everything was a little sweet, although I think that would be different if it were spicy. Overall, everything was pretty tasty. I paid extra for the coconut rice, and it was worth it. The only reason for one less star is that the beef in the curry, which I also paid extra for, was very chewy and some pieces were all fat/gristle. Would definitely go back again. read more

TL;DR: food is amazing, service is notably good, presentation is beautiful and prices are quite reasonable. In my search for better/different restaurant experiences I occasionally find a gem. Jai Thai is such a gem. We were very pleased with the service, even once the place filled up, we did not have to wait for anything. The food was extraordinary I had Thai Iced tea, we shared an appetizer of crab delight. unlike many places it tasted of seafood and not just a wad of cream cheese fried in a wonton wrapper. The crab delight actually was delightful. The wonton wrappers were light and crispy and the plum sauce was a nice alternative to the normal sweet and sour sauce. We also shared an appetizer of fresh rolls. The presentation was aesthetically pleasing and reminiscent of sushi presentation. They care about presenting food that looks as good as it tastes. Peanut sauce was good. He had a bowl of Tom Yum, at a three hotness. be aware that they do real hot spice and 3 was about the limit of hot and still pleasant to eat. Hot was also done right. I had enough time to appreciate the delicious flavor before the hot engaged. I had Gingery with thin sliced pork, no heat. It was very very good. He ordered his meal at the same level of hot, 3. but it was just a little less hot than the soup, so if your soup lights up your world, the same level of hot at the entree level is just a bit more tolerable. Prices are quite reasonable and they deliver. This is not a hidden gem, it fills up pretty quickly, so you could order out at any time. DANGEROUS to dieting! read more

So. Tastiest Pad Thai in Longmont. Best I've had in town since Tim's Thai. It's my usual litmus test for the Thai places that have been popping up. I ordered delivery from yelp 24. A little protein mix up. I ordered pad Thai with beef and extra tofu as I normally do, I got tofu only. But, I ordered avocado curry with chicken, I got chicken and shrimp. So I'm ok with that. The avo curry was unique and very good. Tom yum soup was so-so. I will definitely choose this place again next time I'm in the mood for Thai food. This used to be one of our favorite Thai & sushi places with a rolling sushi bar, but they no longer have sushi. Or even hot mustard & ginger. It was dead when we walked in, and I wondered why as it was always absolutely bustling before with great energy & service. Our friends walked out. This is just a little hole in the wall with few tables. Mostly take out. There was never a great ambience, so it was all about the food & service. One lone & harried waitress & didn't see some that we are used to seeing that took excellent care of us about food sensitivities. What they do have - the curry, the soups- are all still very good, so worth it for take out Thai, and hence 3 stars not 2, but we are just too disappointed to return. Half the menu is gone. They still have signs that there is sushi inside & out - even an eel entree on a blackboard they could have easily wiped off & on Yelp! All good things come to an end. read more

Good Thai food- flexibility on their cooking (used brown rice for their fried rice). The chicken but dish was a little small portion wise. The pad see ew was spot on. The coconut soup was way to sweet- get at least a thee level spice to balance it. For Longmont, it's solid Thai food- more 3.5 than 4- will go back. read more

So this location was previously (for years) Sushi Kaiten. Unfortunately, the chef and owner retired and sold the spot. Fortunately, it was taken over by a great group of people. It is mainly thai food but they have elected to keep the conveyor belt and sushi. John (the previous owner) provided his recipes so they could continue to make the sushi the way we all have enjoyed for years. It is new as of April 2017 and the sushi menu isn't up and running just yet. All that being said, I have gone twice and I have to say that this is the best thai food that I have had in Longmont. I highly recommend the fried tofu appetizer with peanut sauce and the chicken See-Ew. I will miss Sushi Kaiten and anxiously wait to see how the sushi holds up but I am willing to give this place 5 stars as of now. read more

Summary: Take out? YES! Dine in? Never again! Yesterday I ordered a Pineapple Fried Rice with shrimp and a Thai Spicy Noodle Soup for pick up. The food was delicious and the portions were good. Today, I went to dine in and I had an unfortunate experience. I ordered the Udon Noodle Soup and the Philadelphia sushi roll. The portion of the soup was much smaller than the one I ordered for pick up. I am not sure if the discrepancy is due to take out/ dine in or if is due to a difference in the kind of noodle soup. Regardless, should not alter as much as it did. The sushi was good and fresh. The service though is where my biggest complaint stands. I haven't had such an unpleasant, inattentive and careless service in ages. I politely asked for hot water and the waitress gave me that look, after brought the tea I ordered with no cup to drink (I had to go get myself), did not come back to get my entree order (I had to call her) and most of the time when I looked for her she was sitting on the table behind me texting or talking with her coworkers. Used to be Kaiten Sushi, never went there when it was. The current staff of Jai Thai are friendly and serve deliciously authentic food! I tried it for the first time and went back the very next day for the same dish: the drunken noodles ([pad] kee mao). If you like garlic, it's a great dish; a sauce that's not overwhelming but spicy and flavorful, and a good amount of veggies, for a drunken noodle offering. Highly recommended. read more

We had the Golden Cashew w/ Chicken, the Garlic Lover and the Chicken Katsu all with brown rice. We had it delivered and it was so convenient and excellent food. It had great flavor and texture and is really something you need to try if you are in or around Longmont. I am not sure what their delivery area is, but we are pretty close so it wasn't a problem and the delivery person was very nice as well.
