Took it apart myself and they did not even open it to check what was wrong. Valve body was full of sludge. Bottom line went to someone else for a rebuild. It could have been my fault for the install but I didn't like that they lied about checking it.

Just be prepared to wait for some time for the repair but the quality and price cannot be beat. My love affair with manual transmission cars is not worth the cost of upkeep but thank G-d that Brad is there to fix older cars, so my passion survives. I needed a new reverse clutch fork on a manual Subaru which requires taking apart the entire transmission to get at the fork. You have to be real experienced to do that. Not just a new clutch kit. Go there and you will not be disappointed.

I told them clearly what my vehicle required but they dismissed my concern, saying they had "a better oil" and not to worry. Shortly after the service, my transmission started failing. It would go into neutral after 2nd gear, and eventually wouldn't shift properly at all. I've now had to disassemble the transmission valve body and found broken internal parts and serious contamination -- all consistent with using the wrong fluid. This is not just poor service -- it's negligence. Transmission fluid is not optional -- using the wrong one can destroy a gearbox, and that's exactly what happened. If you care about your car, avoid this shop at all costs. They don't listen to customers, they don't follow manufacturer specifications, and now I'm stuck with a major repair that could've been easily avoided.

The original service was great but my engine light soon turn back on so I went back. From then on it was phone tag, being told things that didn't seem to be true, and being ignored. This went on for over a month and I now am having to go to a different place to have it fixed. Once I was originally able to get ahold of Jose to clarify what the plan was and him telling me he would be getting the parts needed for my car, I'd wait a week and hear nothing so I'd reach out again. I was again told things like well I got one of the parts but I need two, I was never reached out to be updated, and eventually that turned into him completely ignoring me.
