Prior to finding Eight, I received bad information, poor training, and wasted thousands of dollars on equipment that wouldn't work for me. I signed up for a class at Eight and from the minute I walked in the door, it was a completely different experience. The good - As a woman, they had items and equipment in stock! They helped fit me for each piece of gear without making comments about my body or my size. They have community dives where they welcome new and super technically skilled divers alike. Everyone has been incredibly supportive and offered to help me improve my diving. The instruction I have gotten here has so far exceeded what I have experienced elsewhere, that I intend to continue with my diving and skill development. The staff is incredible--Andrea and George, specifically, helped me with my whole kit and made sure things fit and were comfortable. Scott ensures that my fills are always ready when I come to pick them up. They are a great team with extensive knowledge and diving history. The not so good - It's not actually in Seattle--it's in Des Moines which is kind of a haul from North Seattle, where I live. The parking on the street is free, but sometimes it's full, so you might have to park a block away (which isn't horrible, but I'm trying to give you the full picture here). The so-so - It's an expensive sport. It's an expensive shop. BUT--you get high-quality gear that will last and is incredibly durable. You also get to buy local and get personalized help. The customer service is fantastic and, to me, worth it. I would rather pay a bit more to get top-notch equipment, be taught how to use it and ensure it fits me, and get the opportunity to improve my skills with a welcoming and friendly community that is open to divers of all skill-levels.

It's a pristine sail ship owned, maintained and operated by two of the best lady sailors. Tami's a 20 year boat caption and Claudette is an acute sailor and certified nurse. It was a gracious, informative tour of the bay with warmth, safety & genuine comradery. They actually extended our time just because they're passionate about what they do. In this day of making a dime, it was a breath of fresh air to meet such qualified warm professionals whose passion is to share and make you smile. We couldn't have been in better hands and will travel with you again. So happy to hear they have extended their excursions to Poulsbo to service the lively downtown arena. If you want a qualified experience, I highly suggest traveling with this crew & company. Thank you for a truly wonderful & unique experience. TK 'Terri' Jones & Jon Richardson

Tami, We want to…read morethank you for a delightful long weekend celebration of our 19th wedding anniversary. Looking for an unusual get-away, we found it with your Boat and Breakfast, complete with a sail on your beautiful classic wooden boat. Moored on the quiet side of Eagle Bay Harbor, it was so peaceful and restful to watch the boats and ferries pass in the distance, the full moon rise over the water, and we could even see the Space Needle from our deck! The boat was our hide-away and so comfortable to return to after exploring Bainbridge Island, the lovely town of Winslow, and walking in the magnificent Grand Forest. Our memories of this celebration will be with us forever. Thanks to the "all gal crew" who gave us a pleasant sail ~ and even let us take a turn at the wheel. Lynn & Bud

Lille Danser Sailing Charter - Once dockside, you will have the boat to yourselves to watch the ferry, sailors, and sunset.
