Jades is our go to for Chinese food. Very fair prices and good portions. Typical Chinese American food and decent!! If you live in the area, Jades should be your go to for chinese food. Always a solid choice. Great service but can get busy at times which is understandable. read more

This is one of my favorites places to order Chinese food. The prices are reasonable, and they give you a good amount of food (not to mention that the rice is free, and packed all the way). I usually order: - fried chicken dumplings: my absolute favorite, because they taste authentic and homemade. - home made bean curd: this dish is made of fried bean curd with broccoli in a brown sauce. - steamed plain broccoli: I ask for white sauce on the side, which is made of a clear broth with scallions. - young chow fried rice: they don't use soy sauce (which I like), so the rice stays white. It comes with veggies, roast pork and shrimp. - beef chow fun: so tasty and comforting. - mushroom egg foo young: I LOVE eggs, and if there are leftovers, I have this for breakfast. - sweet & sour chicken: they serve the sauce on the side, so the chicken doesn't get soggy. - lemon chicken: crispy fried chicken pieces served with a side of lemon sauce - chicken nuggets: Yes. Chicken nuggets. They are yummy. YUMMY. read more

Been ordering here for a while, over a year and a half, about once or twice a month. The food is fine, average for a place like this. Generally they have gotten the orders mostly right in the past, consistent with one or two things that aren't quite from what we ordered but close enough. This time however we had ordered pu pu platter, sesame chicken, general tso's and shredded pork combo. We ended up getting sesame chicken, general tso's, chicken and broccoli combo and no pu pu platter. Upon calling, the response was, 'sorry, we're really busy right now.' They did not offer to correct order and just refunded the pu pu platter. Unfortunately, this was the last straw, will not be ordering from here again read more

Great food horrible service, Had many situations with the drivers begging for money when their service was bad , gets upset because they don't deserve a tip comes with attitude complains to owner, make up lies, and so on many problems with there communication many times i got drinks expired food order wrong and worst part they ask for there food back if they messed it up and many times i've given it half eaten. P.s they ban house for delivery because they wanna get rewarded for bad service.... Don't waste money or time with people's trash service I recommend (No 1 Chinese Restaurant) better read more

Nice people, sad bland food. We've been holed up at home for months and it's been an age since we ordered Chinese food. We thought we'd try a new spot. Pleasant lady took the order and said pick up in 15 minutes. Sent in the Mr to collect the goods. It was busy and he waited a half hour and got to watch the frozen thickly breaded shrimp go into the fryer. If you like your fan tails and General Tso's lightly fried to a crisp with spicy heat, this is not your place. Not ours either. read more

Jade Gourmet - Layers of doughy breading off of fantail shrimp - Chinese Near Me - Cliffside Park, New Jersey

Never again. With all of the Chinese food around here I had to pick this one!!! Delivery, asked for fresh mustard, never got it. Said it would take 30-40 minutes, took 1 hr. 2 items were okay, one item burned to shit! As I said, never again! read more

Jade Gourmet - You tell me? Burnt boneless ribs! - Chinese Near Me - Cliffside Park, New Jersey

So I tried out this new local joint. Pictures on the yelp looked like it could be good. I phoned in an order for pick up on a Sunday night. You know they're busy so I was expecting a $95 order to get to my place within 30 minutes but it did! Food was fresh, smoking hot and amazing! Definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. They delivered 2 towns over and got the whole order right! Might just be my go to spot! read more

I can only attest to the quality of the fried half chicken and the hot/sour soup which is the best in town since I only order these two items from here. I always pick up my orders. Must try these two menu items! read more

I've been ordering from jade gourmet since they opened but the last two times was very disappointing the pepper steak was dried up like it was from yesterday and there was only 5 little pieces of it and the sweet and sour chicken didn't look like real chicken( processed ) the delivery man is the best thing from this establishment a real gentleman unfortunately the food doesn't match up anymore read more

Big warning don't order here anymore. The old owners sold it to people who have no idea what they are doing. The Lomein has no flavor. It's the only Chinese place I have gotten no fortune cookies. They don't believe in replacing bad food. They will actually charge you more money to replace the terrible food you have already gotten. It is no longer run by the sweet family that had been in charge for years and years. Also don't expect anything but a headache when it comes to communication. This place is a long shot from all the great reviews it once had. Do yourself a favor and order from No1 Chinese on Anderson Ave. One more thing if you want a refund be sure to spit out the food you have tried. For if it's been sampled count yourself or if luck. Best wishes on your food dishes. read more

The best take out Chinese spot in the area! I don't know what these guys are doing different, but it's working! They've got me coming back for at least 6 years now! I drive out of my way passed 10 other Chinese places just to get Jade! Order their sweet & sour chicken or beef fried rice! The lady behind the counter is also a sweet heart. Leave her a tip in the jar :) read more

Jade Gourmet - Sweet & sour pork with beef fried rice no veggies - Chinese Near Me - Cliffside Park, New Jersey

I am so disappointed. i do not usually write reviews though I felt it was necessary. I ordered online. The order was supposed to be ready at 6:39. we arrived at 6:40. We were told not yet. At 7:00, they gave us the wrong bag of food. We only knew it was not ours because we opened it and checked. Then she gave us the wrong bag again then a credit card receipt then checked a bag on the counter. Wow! our food had been sitting there for 15 minutes. No apology, nothing. I had tipped 20%. Wow! Shame on me. The wonton soup was good. The dumplings were not. Soggy, and so lightly fried as to be steamed. The egg rolls were lacking in flavor. The general Taos chicken was eh. The fried rice has no flavor and lack pieces of meat or veggies. The boneless ribs were ok, nothing special. Overall I am disappointed and will not return. read more

I've ordered from Jade a few times. I've never had a problem with service or delivery. Last night my husband and I decided to order Chinese food and for some reason we went with Jade. We ordered fried dumplings, pork Lo Mein, and 2 dinner combos orange chicken with pork fried rice and hot and sour soup, and shrimp with lobster sauce with pork fried rice and an egg roll. Nothing was wrong with the food, but we both felt it just had no flavor. The dumplings were very 'doughy', and everything else was just bland. I highly doubt we will be ordering from this establishment again. I feel they deserve a 2.5 on the review, as the service itself has always been pretty good. read more

Easy to order online BUT be careful, they charge $1 delivery fee (this is not tip for a driver) and $0.50 for credit card payment fee which is a big turn off. Weirdest looking Lemon Chicken but taste good. DO NOT order 1. Young Chow fried rice, all you can find is rice... very little meat and tiny shrimp and mix frozen vegetables. What worst is rice is mushy, yak. Szechuan wonton, meat (assuming pork) quality is not good, very gamy and unpleasant, couldn't eat without dipping in vinegar to kill the scent. read more

I don't really do yelp reviews.. But jade deserves one.. Especially for satisfying my craving during COVID19! THIS is an essential business honestly. Theyve always been one of my favorite Chinese restaurants and after moving from cliffside park, I havent been able to find a chinese restaurant that compares. Ive been staying with my mom for the past 2 weeks and on a whim she called today, and THEY WERE OPEN! They reopened for business on May 1st, 2020, after being close due to covid19. They are currently only doing pick up, which is way better than nothing. Their food is so fresh, so crispy and flavorful, im so glad they are back in business! Plus, they're always so friendly. Thank you jade! read more

We ordered a bunch of American Style Chinese food (Egg Foo Young, lo mein, etc) and had it delivered. We were genuinely surprised with quality and quantities of the entrees. We will definitely order from this takeout joint again. Further, the price is quite reasonable and delivery time is quick as well. read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING. Not under the same ownership. My husband and I have been ordering from jade for years. They have been through every gooD day but more important the have been a comfort through the bad. There food was like thanksgiving dinner. It warned your heart and soul. The love the owners put into the food and customer service was beyond words. NOW that the new owners are there (started sometime in September) the food is soulless. There is no flavor no love. When we asked why there was no flavor no fortune cookies no sauce and they always got something wring. They accused my husband of being drunk and refused to fix the food and bring a new order or give our money back. The food I wouldn't even give 1 star. The service negative stars. Our family owns a deli and when someone's unhappy u fix the problem not accuse them of being drunk. Please find a better Chinese place if you really love delicious well cooked Chinese cuisine and if u do order here Any way don't say u weren't warned!!!! read more

Jade Gourmet - Yuck - Chinese Near Me - Cliffside Park, New Jersey

I've been ordering from this place for a few years now and am shocked to be the first local to write a review. First off, I must say I've NEVER had a bad experience with the service or food from here, so I'm finally compelled (and almost feel I owe it to them) to write about my pleasant experiences. As a busy bachelor, I find myself ordering from this place pretty often, usually late at night. They're open til 11pm weekdays; midnight on weekends! You'll spend a few minutes looking (and salivating) over their extensive menu full of combo platters, specialty dishes, daily and lunch specials. They offer additional variety with a small, affordable "American/Latin" menu and "healthy" section for those watching their intake. Be sure to ask for your FREE drink/appetizer/soup/rice or discount depending on the amount of your order. As advertised, FAST FREE DELIVERY!! They always say it'll take them 20-30 minutes to deliver but I swear it takes them only 10-15 minutes..every time! The minimum order for delivery is $8 and they conveniently allow me to pay by credit card. (Can tip cash or credit) The portions are excellent (a $10-15 always last me 2 days) and the food arrives fresh and hot every time. My personal favorites are the cheese-fried and szechuan wontons, pepper steak, barbecued spare ribs and hunan/szechuan chicken and shrimp. I usually accompany it with pork fried rice and an egg roll or two. Maybe I've taken too much of my time to review a typical "Chinese restaurant" but I feel it's well deserved. I've been to the Panda Express and PF Chang's nearby but I'll honestly take Jade Gourmet over over-priced/glorified Chinese any day of the week. During times like these, fast, affordable and delicious is what I want! read more

Hands down the best Americanized Chinese take-out place I've ever seen. Clean and no MSG makes me feel healthy after eating. Update: I reduced two stars as I moved on to another Chinese place as i realized their food was prepared in a less than satisfactory sanitary conditions. read more

I have ordered from here a few times since moving back and found their free delivery to be really fast. I don't order anything really exotic, really just a smattering of Chinese Comfort Food like fried dumplings, cheese fried wonton, sesame noodles or ribs. I find the food to be very decent. Ribs aren't super flavorful but quantities are pretty big. They also have coupons for free stuff if you order more than certain dollar amounts. Before I moved, I used to order in from John's Shanghai which has since changed to Duck King. I went to Duck King for a quick lunch in March and didn't like it at all so Jade Gourmet is my new Chinese place for delivery. read more

Jade is great the food is really good the price is great they are on point. I love this place the fried food is crispy which is mandatory and they deliver. I order here a couple times a month and they've always had good food whatever I get. read more

There aren't enough words to say why we order from this place multiple times a week. First, the friendlyness and accomodating hospitality of the person who answers the phone. Always willing to get your oder the way you like it. Combining orders, or switching things up isn't a problem, and they always remember who you are. Second, the food is amazing. Great chinese take out. Boneless spare ribs, sweet and sour chicken, beef with broccoli, lo mein, general tso, you name it. All delicious. Third, the price. Are you kidding? They keep the price low and the portions are so big I save it for later or the next day. One order could easily feed two. Finally and most importantly the speed. I literally am shocked if I ever have to wait for more than 15 minutes. They are fast and reliable. In a era where if you close at 10pm most places won't pick up the phone at 930pm for fear of actually having to work, not JG! Nope! 945pm? Not a problem! LOVE EM! read more

This is a very typical Chinese take-out place that serves up Americanized versions of Chinese food. The reason it gets 5 stars is not because their menu is exciting but for this kind of food and this type of establishment, it doesn't get much better. Synopsis: 1. Food is excellent compared to other Chinese take-out places. 2. Fast, free delivery. 3. Large portions in relation to price. 4. Open fairly late at night (11pm weekdays, midnight weekends). If you live in the area, this is the place to order from if you're in the mood for Chinese take-out food. read more

Alright I've been a loyal customer since I was about 13 years old. All my saved up change and loose dollars would go to this place. It's the only Chinese food spot I trust in Cliffside. I usually go for their lunch special deals because it's perfect for a college students budget. Sweet and sour chicken is my favorite along with their home made iced tea. Another thing I've appreciated about these hard working people is they have delivered to me in a blizzard a couple of times. ( I know I suck for making them do that ) but they did and it was great. Anyway it's better than green shell for sure. Service is good , food is great and we'll I just have an attachment to this place. Try it! read more

Wow, what happened to this place? This is some of the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Bland, greasy and just overall terrible - I had to throw it all out. Other reviewers mention owners changing. I hope they get their act together - bring in the old owners for a consult or get a new chef. It used to be the best place in the area. I wouldn't even feed it to my dog now. Delivery was quick - that's the only positive thing I can say. read more

Food is pretty decent but the lady in the front needs to learn not to cop an attitude.we have been ordering from this place for years and it seems that everytime i ask for more sauce ( you get two soy sauces per order of 4 portions) she feels a need to lecture you about the prices of condiments. LADY the price of 05 cents per soy sauce should not jeopardize keeping customers who order at least 80 bucks a week work of food! read more

Given I'm originally from Queens, I know what good Chinese food is. This is as good as it gets on this side of the river. Fresh food, huge portions and to top it all off the owner (Amy) is super sweet. Chicken w/ broccoli, Lo-mein, shrimp rolls -ALL ARE GOOD. Unfortunately just moved and no longer in the area. Took me a few months to find this spot! :(( On to new adventures! Hopefully find as good of a spot in JC. If you're from the area, look no further. This is your spot! read more
