The Good: *Sweet lady, she really is *Fast and quick eye brow service! -- Don't worry, you'll still have two eye brows. Fabulous eye brows that is. *Unbeatable prices for her great skills The Bad: *I guess sometimes having to make an appointment could be humbug.. but hey, thats what you gotta do for good/great/awesome beauty services right? Great service! I love the fact that she had Marine Collagen to help grow my hair and nails!! You are the best!!!

Just had the smoothening hair process and hair cut with Kari, and I left the salon feeling beautiful and amazing. Even my husband loved my hair. Kari was meticulous with my haircut, which I greatly appreciated. I actually fell asleep while she was ironing my hair. The salon was cozy and so relaxing, and Kari and Jacque were very friendly. I was observing Jacque's work on another client, and I noted she was very meticulous also. I was wondering how she was going to work with her client's hair, but her client was smiling the whole time, and her hair turned out great! Shows you how much trust she had. It's just a very nice and calming salon to go to with very nice and talented people. I found my go-to hairdresser in Hawaii, and I am very pleased. read more

I have such a hair-crush on Kari Sakuda! Haha! She does an excellent job w my uncooperative hair and has a real eye for style! She is always friendly and I have a great time getting my hair done! She also knows how to listen to a client and find the best solution that will work for the real-world lifestyle. She expertly color-corrected my badly colored hair that I screwed up myself and had let go awry (check out my before and after picture)! In the past her balayage work on my hair was also beautiful and I got a lot of compliments for her work. I am glad to have met her and will continue to see her forever! :-) Jacque at this salon is also very friendly and professional! The parking is also free and location is really convenient near Ala Moana! read more

Jacque Rojas Salon - Makeup Artists Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I've been seeing Jacque for my eyelash extensions for about 2 years now and I love them. I have the typical short Asian eyelashes that stick straight out even if I curl them and apply tons of mascara. It is a little extra pop, like a great eyebrow, that makes a huge difference. I used to wake up every morning and spend endless amounts of time applying and trying out every type of mascara there is, but now I literally wake up ready to go. I get complemented about my eyelashes all the time. People have to ask me if they are mine or not because they cant tell that they're the extensions. Sometimes people don't even know that I have the extensions until I mention it. Their replies are always along the lines of, "It looks so natural!" or "It just looks like you have super long eyelashes!" It is the most amazing and best investment, I think. Jacque is so awesome too. She is always understanding when I go back with a whole eye missing lashes. If there are a couple old stragglers, shell remove them and redo everything. Her prices are extremely reasonable considering the skill and quality of her work. I look forward to my appointments and cant stop looking at myself in the mirror after Ive gotten my refills. Another girl asked me one time where I got them done and I told her that I see Jacque Rojas. She told me that she just went to get hers done for $30. When I looked at it though, the lashes were super thin and the work was amateurish, to put it nicely. She didn't even get what she paid for. I think I could have probably glued on individual eyelashes from longs on better than that. The point is, it is an investment worth considering, much like any other beauty service such as waxing or even getting your hair done, but Ive never regretted spending the money. Ive seen a couple other of people who have got their lashes done else where and I keep telling them to go to Jacque. Everyone I know who has gotten them done with Jacque loves how they look. If you're thinking about eyelash extensions, you need to see Jacque Rojas! read more

I've been going to Jacque for several months now. She does my lashes perfectly every time! I'm so addicted to them I see her every two weeks. Honestly you can probably stretch them out for three weeks. I guess it depends how you take care of them. Jacque's been in the industry for years. She's a well known makeup artist, awesome hair stylist, and of course my lash extension guru! We are in the same industry and I send ALL my brow clients to her. Every compliment I receive I immediately say "Lashes by Jacque Rojas!!" Anyways ladies don't wait any longer...go and see this fabulous woman! read more

I have never trusted anyone with eyebrows.... until I found Jacque. She is the best and uses hard European wax (instead of cloth strips, yikes). She does a lot of the makeup & hair for wedding and local artsy magazines. Very elegant style. read more

I only let one person touch my eyebrows for nearly four years (and had to kiss a lot of frogs to find her!) and so trusting someone else to take care of my eyebrows was really scary. Jacque did an AMAZING job on my brows. They were unruly! She took one look and got to work-- waxed, trimmed and tweezed her way to perfection, if I do say so myself. She also noticed that I have sensitive skin and applied a calming oil to my brows afterward to reduce the redness, which worked like a charm. I am hooked and can't wait to go back and see what other miracles she can perform. After reading other Yelpers reviews, I am anxious to get eyelash extensions!! read more

I wish I could say I wake up this beautiful!!! However I owe it in part to Jacque Rojas who takes care of ALL of my beauty needs!! I'm a big consumer of beauty services and have been all over this island at many different salons. Until I met Jacque... Ladies, you know how hard it is to find someone good, I mean really good, and when we do were LOYAL! I've been coming to Jacque for over 2 1/2 years for everything from lashes to hair and waxing... she really is the best!! Jacque is the lashes expert. There's not a day that goes by that someone doesn't compliment me... I could quit my day job and pass out business cards for her! Thanks Jacque! read more

Ok. I met this wonderful lady through her volunteer work with the YWCA and knew I would see her again. Her aura and spirit is awesome, and she is friendly and easy to talk to. Got my microblading done yesterday and am very happy. Her schedule times are great and she makes herself available. I was comfortable and the service was quick. Environment is laid back and calm, and I am definitely exploring other services to utilize her for. She is constantly expanding her skills with the latest and most trending techniques. read more

Jacque Rojas Salon - Makeup Artists Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Yesterday I had an apt with Jacque Rojas and it was great! I came in with how I wanted my hair done for a wedding I was attending that afternoon/ evening and she was able to make it happen! The day before I came in I fell asleep at the beach and got a little red and toasty.. Not a good look in a dress. Jacque air brushed my makeup and my chest area. She helped me where I was RED and burnt to make me look normal and a little bronzed! I was so happy with the end result with my hair and makeup! I would highly recommend Jacques to anyone who needs their hair and / or makeup done!! read more

Ever have that moment when you love something so much and when it lets you down, you are left utterly heartbroken? I have been a loyal client for years....YEARS. Jacque was my go-to girl for waxing. She even did my makeup for a wedding I attended because I'm not into getting all dolled up. She really has a way of making me (and anyone, I'm sure) feel beautiful, so I know she knows her stuff. And I know she is a one-stop-shop because she does waxing, eyelash extensions, makeup, cuts hair, colors hair - you name it, she does it. FYI - but, here's where the heartache begins... One of the first people I contacted when I got engaged was Jacque because I knew that my perfect day would be special if I had Jacque dolling me up once again. So I contacted her how I usually do via text (which I think is an excellent perk these days), but for two weeks I didn't receive a response. This got me worried - I mean, the Jacque I know, would not NOT answer me. I told my closest friends that I was worried - maybe something happened to her....I don't know, I was in panic mode and quite frankly, thinking my wedding would not be ok without Jacque. My Matron of Honor, my cousin, who also knows Jacque was puzzled by it all, too. We agreed I should call (because this was so out of character for Jacque), so I did. I left a detailed message and hung up, hopeful. Nope....hope denied. Let's just put it this way, I STILL have not heard back from the one sure thing I was counting on for my wedding. Moral of the story: Aimee, it's a big, big world out there with plenty of other great fish out there. I've found a wonderful, kind, funny, quirky, and QUICK TO RESPOND hair/makeup artist in CJ Sepka of Naturally You....and my brows now are beautifully taken care of by my hair stylist Koren Nakasone of DY Salon. My heart is no longer broken and I've learned it's gonna be ok. read more

Jacque is the Eyebrow Queen!!! NO ONE compares! She will shape them perfectly every time!

I've been a client of Jacque's for at least 5 or 6 years now & will never trust anyone else with my beauty needs. She's so versatile, talented, & skillful in her trade & offers many services from waxing, eyelash extensions, hair, makeup... & she does all of it without any help because she's really THAT great! I was once a big salon client but never received the personal attention or satisfying experience & care I get with Jacque, who understands my style & caters to my individual needs. My boyfriend is always pleased with the results when I come home from the salon thanks to her expertise! ;) read more

Did lash extensions for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at how meticulous Jacque was with the process. Jacque also provided hair services for me; I received a haircut/style and keratin treatment. I received many compliments on my haircut and my hair feels much more soft, silky, and healthy. More importantly, I, myself, feel more "put together" with my renewed/revived outward appearance. Jacque was timely, professional, personable and I am amazed at her desire to empower women with her thoughtfulness, talent, and passion while giving back to her community. Love how she described servicing underprivileged women as a significant philosophy of her business plan. I certainly look forward to furthering the beautifying process with Jacque. Eyebrows next, yayyy! Thank you so very much, Jacque! See you again soon. read more

I have been A customer of Jacque for 20 years. Whenever I have a hair and lashes appointment with her this is the highlight of my day. When I leave her shop I feel beautiful and refreshed. Thank you Jacque read more

If you want beautiful, natural looking makeup, Jacque is the best I've ever experienced. She did my makeup at a friend's wedding and again at my own. She's terrific because she makes you look like a movie star instead of a cartoon of one. No excessive cakey foundation or raccoon eyes - just you Better. Thanks Jacque and I look forward to my next special event to treat myself to another makeup session :) read more

I've known Jacque since she trained with my former hairstylist more than 15 years ago. Even then, I was so impressed with her work ethic getting my bill ready and confirming my next appointment before I would have a chance to ask...with her attention to detail making sure my gray was completely covered...with the effort she put into giving me a shampoo the way I like it, massaging and rinsing well. Since my hair stylist moved to another island, I've been seeing Jacque 10+ years. I consider it a privilege because not only is Jacque highly skilled but she is also, a person of integrity charging fairly and doing her very best. I have been more than satisfied with every single visit. When you come into her salon you will see photos and articles of the work she does with magazines, pageants, the Merry Monarch, as well as certificates she has received for her relentless pursuit to learn. She keeps on the cutting edge of fashion while ensuring she gives the client what she/he desires. If I had to condense my reason for seeing Jacque all these years, it would be that it is because she does an exceptional job with an exceptional heart. For me, this is immeasurable as she has become a friend! Carol Ann Shima read more

I've been having my eyeliner and eyebrows tattooed by Jackie for the past 5 years. She is awesome I will never go you anyone else.

Also great seeing Jacque. I have never had a bad experience. She is a one man show and does it all from make up, waxing, hair and lashes.

Love going there to get my eyelashes done. The vibe is very laid back, yet professional. I love walking out of there with my long lashes.

Jacque has been waxing my eye brows, under arms, and upper lip for the past 10 years! She is the only person I let touch my eyebrows. I fell in love with her as a makeup artist when she accompanied our halau to Merrie Monarch for a few years in 2007, 2008, and 2011. She did my makeup for my wedding in 2011 and also did my makeup for various figure competitions such as the Stingrey Classic and Paradise Cup. I would highly recommend Jacque Rojas. read more

From a fluke to a fling to a Forever After! Jacque was just an emergency fix-up for my eyebrows for a TV show. When i saw this Wizard of Wax & Temptress of Tweeze do her magic, i gave her a shot at my hair. I've never looked back or looked so good, almost a decade of diva divine! read more

I first came to Jacque in Feb 2011 while on vacation on Oahu. Recovering from cancer and chemotherapy related hair and eyelash loss, she gave me a "fill" on my last extensions. I've been going to her ever since! She took my chemo damaged hair from literally nothing but damaged fuzz to now below shoulder length. My lashes came back because she knows how to apply extensions, even long term, without causing damage. Her special occasion makeup and hair is impeccable. Her rates are beyond reasonable. Her studio is small, private and quiet right across from Ala Moana. Two thumbs up. My highest recommendation. I just cannot say enough. The lady is great. read more

I've been going to Jacque for over 12 years now. She truly is the QUEEN of WAXING! Over the years I've got my sisters, cousins, friends and co workers all to get waxed by her. I've also convinced them to have their eyeliner tattooed! I've moved to California but when I visit Hawai'i, Jacque is one of the first places I visit. Words can't express how much I believe in her work and customer service. read more

I am soooooo pleased with my lashes, Jacque has changed my life!!! It would take me 45 minutes to do my make-up every morning, and a good part of that 45 minutes was curling and applying mascara to my eyelashes, very stressful. A friend of mine who has been seeing Jacque for a while now, swore she is the best at what she does, so I finally got up the courage to have my extensions done. My husband loves them and he tells me how pretty my eyes look all the time. If you are thinking of doing your lashes, you really need to have Jacque work on you. She's absolutely the best at what she does, as she will listen to you and exceed your expectations. And don't be surprised when other women approach you and ask you about your lashes, it happens to me all the time now. read more

Jacque is the best! I've been getting my eyebrows waxed from her for the past 6 months and she never fails!! I told her what I wanted them to look like and she gave me what I wanted! Everytime I get my brows down, she knows what I want already so there's no need for repetition. She is also a very sweet lady. She is busy but will try her best to fit you into her schedule. And the best of all, when you become a regular there, she still takes her time with your brows or whatever it is you want, instead of just rushing on you because you're a reuglar. Also, for the price she charges, no one can beat Jacque! Honest, dependable, sweet, and good at what she does!! Check her out!! :) read more

Been going to Aunty Jacque for over 15 years and we love walking out feeling beautiful. We've done pretty much every service from her from haircuts to eyebrow tattoos. My 15 year old schedules her brow waxing every month and grandma goes for her monthly haircut. She goes the extra mile and even opened up her shop for me on a Sunday to do my hair and makeup when I got married. read more

Completely unprofessional and disappointing; I would not recommend Jacque Rojas to anyone who needs a reliable makeup artist. I was initially excited to work with Jacque as my wedding makeup artist after admiring her work in several magazines. She showed up late for two trial appointments and did not bother to phone in a heads-up or apologize (which should have been a sign, however I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt) and then went MIA less than 4 weeks before the wedding. She did not respond to phone calls or emails from myself or my wedding coordinator as we moved closer to the big day to firm up details. I do not understand how someone can run a business or call themselves a professional with this kind of behavior. To this day, I have not heard back from Jacque. Luckily, I was able to find makeup artists who not only appreciate the importance of punctuality, professionalism, and common courtesy, but who also did an even better job in the hair and makeup department. read more
