We chose this nearby restaurant after a long day of travel without being able to eat. The restaurant specializes in pizza and Italian dishes. I had the spicy penne. The pasta was served in a spicy red sauce. The sauce had some but not a lot of spice. The dish hit the spot after not having much to eat because of travel. The penne was very good. The service was fine. Prices were reasonable. We struck up a conversation with diners at a near by table. They had some recommendations regarding local wineries. I'd recommend this restaurant and would return.

Penne Spicy Sausage

I'm staying at the resort across the street from this restaurant, and after a long day, couldn't face driving anywhere for dinner. I had a sneaking suspicion that something called Jacob's Restaurant tucked into a strip mall would be a bland old fashioned 'family restaurant' affair and the exterior and interior (complete with sunflower table cloth) didn't assuage my concerns. But I'm happy to say I was so wrong. They had a solid wine list, solid service, and really well cooked from scratch pasta. I had the spicy penne and it was delicious. Pasta was perfectly al dente, the sausage nicely spiced though a sludge dense, and the creamy sauce was good enough to swim in. The server was stretched a bit thin, caring for a half dozen tables plus covering the brisk takeout business, but we were still taken care of. What a disguised gem.

Service was good! Food was just nothing special. We really wanted pizza after a wine tasting, and we were hoping for more of a wood-fired vibe. But we found this place and decided to give it a try. The breadsticks were not very appealing, but they tasted alright. I did not expect them to have cheese on them, but they did and it was fine. Pepperoni pizza was also just fine. Overall, it's not like anything was bad. It just wasn't spectacular. If I'm back in the area, I don't think we will go back.

Gluten free pepperoni pizza with pineapple and mushrooms

Wonderful pizza spot next to the train amusement park. The pizzas are baked perfectly and loaded with a ton of ingredients. They also had gluten free options which made my kids incredibly happy. They are quite busy though so unfortunately they forgot to put pepperoni on my pepperoni pizza... uh... thankfully they easily fixed it and put so a ton on top. If I'm in the area, I'll be back!

I usually wait until my second visit and/or second dish before I give a restaurant a 5th star, but Jacob's gets that 5th star on my first visit! The staff were super attentive even though they were very busy and they were also very friendly. The food was delicious, my wife and I got a large Sonoma Pizza and a mixed green salad to share. Before we even got to the pizza, that was the best green salad I've ever had. Simple, yummy, especially the cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. I am a pizza snob, and with the exception of Mountain Mike's, I can't stand any of the big chains. The Sonoma pizza had the perfect balance of pepperoni, salami, mushrooms, onions and garlic. The restaurant was also impeccably decorated, with a splash of Italy and Sonoma Wine country represented. Every dish they walked by made my mouth water. We definitely be going back again and again, especially when we head out that way for wine tasting.

3rd time dining here and every time has been satisfied with good food a great advice. Today we had a large all meet, lamb gyro with a Greek salad , cheese bread a a pitcher. All of it was good and we would order it all again.

Half Sonoma and ham pineapple

In Sonoma it is not real easy to find a restaurant open on Tuesday or Wednesday. Luckily we found Jacob's. This is a small family business. The service and staff are great. The server recommend wines were very good. We ordered bruschetta 4/5, calamari 5/5, and a pizza half Sonoma 5/5 and half ham and pineapple 5/5. The pizza crust is very good.

Small cheese pizza
Brittany S.

Ordered a small cheese pizza First time here, Lacking cheese as the main ingredient, one and a half slices had NO CHEESE And the cheese that was put on was very thin and the taste just isn't there. Needs more cheese and flavor. Cheese tastes weird It doesn't taste very good I wouldn't go back not good pizza at all

I paid $70 bucks for this pizza off DoorDash, I did get a lot of toppings but they put raw tomato on there I did give the dasher a $5 tip but $70 for this is a rip off. Currently cooking the tomato in my oven the adding to my pizza then cooking the undercooked pizza

Penne Chicken

Super great service, amazing food. Server was amazing and very welcoming! Penne Chicken, sauce seemed homemade which was great, it personally for my palette, it needed a little more salt but that was an easy fix. Pepperoni pizza with pineapple was great. My toddler enjoyed it! linguine seafood was great, good size portion with great flavor.

Just got here today on a little foodie tour we decided to embark on and we are off to a great start. Asked around and we ended up at a small and local family owned Italian restaurant, Della Santina's! This family go back quite awhile here in the Marin and Sonoma Valley areas and have been cooking Tuscan style home made Italian dishes and man you can really taste and see the quality. It was a short walk from our hotel and upon arriving, we were seated in their back garden area pretty quickly. Was very quaint and the atmosphere and service was excellent. After a bit we ordered some excellent wine, took in the evening specials and placed our order. It is important to note the hat all the pasta is made fresh daily on premises, no box pasta here and the sauces are also made fresh daily as well and most to order which is amazing. On this occasion, we stuck to the home made pasta dishes, Lasagna Bolognese and Veal Pasta Special which were both delicious and their home made minestrone soup was out of this world. We really enjoyed our meal and it seemed like very one around us was having a great time as well. Rounding the corner we ordered some excellent espresso and cappuccino to close out the evening. Overall, it was amazing and it shows when you know the owner is making rounds at all the tables in o make sure everything is as it should be. We will definitely be visiting again next time we are in Sonoma. If you find your self in the area and feel like some Italian you cannot go wrong with Della Santina's so make sure to check them out. Enjoy your trip and Bon Appétit mes amis!

It is wheel chair accessible and a gift from me to you. I especially love the Caesar salad and Eggplant Parmesan, the Gnocchi and the pasta with clams, and on and on. Buon Appetito

I will be thinking about the texture of this pasta + the pistachio pesto for a long time. They kept the corn pudding of the original dish at the bottom and it was such a good combination of flavors. I got chicken added on top. I got an espresso martini with gin; pretty good, just wished there was a bit more espresso flavor. Probably would order one of their house cocktails instead next time. Lastly we had the stone fruit cobbler with ice cream and a pine nut/pistachio brittle. Unlike any other cobbler I've ever had. Perfection of different textures. Also, we had the duck fat fries on another day; they were delightfully crispy and lightly seasoned with garlic. The ranch it came with was so yummy and definitely dill-forward. I'd definitely come back! Thank you for your hospitality.

Thankfully, Willie brought us an aioli that significantly improved the flavor, but the dish still felt underwhelming compared to everything else. To start, we ordered a cauliflower soup and a fig arugula salad. The soup was tasty and light, very enjoyable, salad was ok, we were hoping for a little more figs and pecan. Both of us liked the scallops and the relish, it was perfectly executed and delicious. We had high hopes for the mussels unfortunately it was a let down. While the broth was flavorful, most of the mussels were tiny. Hubby even got several bites with sand and had to go to the bathroom to rinse it out. We mentioned to our waitress, the manager came over to apologize and our dessert was comped. Which was a good gesture. We did also have nice chats with a family of four sitting next to us. Not sure if we'll return any time soon, if we do will stay away from the mussels.

BIRTHDAY DINNER AFTER TWO WINE TASTING…read more One week ago last Saturday night after the second winery my sister, her husband, and my relatives came here for dinner to celebrate my birthday. When we arrived our party was 30 minutes late. On a Saturday night I was concerned if we were going to get a table. Fortunately the receptionist was able to find a table for our party around 6.:00 PM, but he stated we would have to be out by 8:00 PM. I looked at the menu. Since I was going to a steakhouse in Las Vegas in late September I decided not to order steak. For the entree I decided between the branzino or beef short rib. While I am at Vegas I will be going to an Italian restaurant where they serve branzino. So I decided to go with the beef short rib at Bottega. I asked the server what pasta would go well with the beef short rib. He suggested the Spaghetti alla Sophia Loren. I'll be honest I thought after seeing pictures of the spaghetti the Spaghetti alla Sophia Loren would be bigger. The portion was smaller than I anticipated. If the portion is small the flavor better stand out. The spaghetti was al dente. What I liked about the Spaghetti alla Sophia Loren was the cherry tomatoes as they were sweet not tarty as tomatoes can be. Even though the portion of the Spaghetti alla Sophia Loren was small I wasn't full for my main course. Next was the main entrée the beef short rib. I really enjoyed this dish. The beef short rib was moist, but not too rich that I felt bloated. What also cuts the richness of the short beef rib is the polenta. Out of the two dishes I ordered the short beef rib was tastier. I was too full to order dessert even though some of the items were enticing. However I got a complimentary dessert for my birthday. Overall I fun enjoyable with my family for dinner at Bottega.

We were a table of three and ordered three appetizers and three entrées. Unfortunately, our server forgot to put in one of our appetizers, which we had been patiently waiting for. By the time we realized what had happened, it actually ended up working out because we probably ordered a little too much food to begin with. Aside from that, I would say the service was pretty standard. For my entrée, I ordered the braised short ribs and substituted the polenta for potatoes, and they were absolutely delicious. The short ribs were incredibly tender and easily fell off the bone. The potatoes were a great substitution and paired really well with the dish. This was definitely the highlight of the meal for me. At the end of dinner, they surprised me with a complimentary birthday plate with an assortment of small desserts and fresh berries, a candle, and "Buon Compleanno" written in chocolate. It was beautifully presented and a really thoughtful touch that made celebrating my birthday there feel a little more special. Overall, it was a nice birthday dinner. Nothing was particularly out of the ordinary, but I really enjoyed the romantic atmosphere, my short ribs were delicious, and I appreciated the birthday dessert plate at the end. The ambiance is definitely what stood out most to me and made the evening feel special.
