He started out in Ballard some years ago with a mod shop he operated with some family members but the high rents sent him packing to Portland. He operated a mod shop in downtown Portland under a new name (Janus Home) for awhile then when things got tough he packed up and moved back to Seattle likely leaving some past due rent bills behind. It seems his new Revolver Vintage Interior shop has fell under the same fate as his previous business ventures. Even though a good portion of his inventory was on consignment (which is easier on his pocket book) when things got tough even the consignors didn't get paid. The same went for his last few buyers on Ebay. They paid for their items but did not get their merchandise. (his seller ID: SKWM) Once again Jeremy's is a great guy and he finds some incredible stuff with his contacts but his cash flow has always been tight and unpredictable. It's tough to survive in the Seattle market with high rents so you really need to be better capitalized to succeed in this market place. He should get a full time job and just sell on the side and make efforts to repay some of his past clients and landlords that are owed money.

They did sell it, never gave us our payment and now their phone is turned off and site down. We contacted them repeatedly and they kept promising that they'd send us payment. We came here after feeling the…read moresticker shock of shopping around for reclaimed wood dining tables in Belltown, and were pleasantly surprised to not only find reasonable priced tables, benches, etc... but unique, one-of-a-kind pieces with gorgeous character. We were smitten by one table in particular that was made from reclaimed Douglas Fir from an old 1917 apple barn-- we were already sold when we saw the richness of the wood/stain but the history behind the table made it clear that this was the one. Working with Doug was great-- super friendly, knows his craft, and quick to deliver the table once it was sized and refinished. Overall I can't say enough praise about Doug/Plank and Grain-- and anyone shopping for a table should definitely stop in to check out the latest pieces they are working on.

I have never had a more unpleasant customer service experience. The person who "served" me was not the original salesperson. He argued with me and told me the original person would get dinged for the return. He told me I should give the first mattress more time because my discomfort would pass. He was belittling and actually hostile. I almost cried And I'm not a cryer. I had wanted to review that person, but was actually afraid to fill out the mattress firm survey because he knew my address. So the new product worked well, but the gaslighting on the exchange and fear of retribution were unacceptable. I've worked in customer service and have had bad days, but this wasn't his bad day. This was aggressive.

Kid home from college needed a new twin mattress for their room. While we're happy customers of a…read morelocal store in Wallingford where we recently had a terrific experience replacing a queen mattress, it was an expensive purchase. For our college kid, we wanted something that would be comfortable when they're home for breaks, but also allow us to upgrade/replace it with minimal remorse in a few years time when they settle into their post-school life. Mattress Firm fit the bill with a decent selection, and helpful Sleep Expert Kevin. We considered mattress toppers and new mattresses. Expert Kevin gave us a brief overview of each choice. We were given time and space to try each in the store with no sales pressure. In the end, our young adult chose the mattress that most closely matched their dorm bed (that they really liked); and being that it was Memorial Day weekend we got it on sale. The main feature of the mattresses in the store seem to be their memory foam tops. I tried a few and found I'm not a fan of the feel of memory foam as a sleep surface. (I can't speak to others' experience with returns. According to the receipt, there's a "return processing charge" which is $250--about what we paid for the mattress. Thankfully, the child is very happy with their mattress selection.)

Its not just a furniture store for the reclaimed and upcycled, Kirk Albert has some really almost revolutionary transformations going on, like turning a vintage bowling alley into a long, gorgeous communal table by adding enormous, industrial-type legs. Turning old reclaimed wood into a one of a kind console by by breathing new life into it with a balanced set of Frankenstein shop legs. He incorporates found items like a giant ten foot long hanging hammer (take that, boring home office!) to a humorously disturbing John Basquiat meets Frances Bacon framed 3-D tormented man, to possibly hang over your VIctorian fireplace.
