As I began to tell him that it wasn't in my budget, he kept finding discounts and the price kept going down. We talked about the other quotes that I had received and the price was lowered one final time. We paid a 33% deposit and the deal was done. A few days later someone came out to test for lead paint, and to verify the measurements. It took what seemed like a long time to manufacture the 10 large windows, (4 months) but when they received any updates the office staff communicated with me. I was expecting 4-8 weeks. These windows were custom made, and the installation team all worked directly for New South Windows. So they all worked together well. The windows install was completely wrapped up in 5-6 hours. The 3 man crew knew what they were doing. One guy demolished the old windows, carefully removing the individual window pains so as to minimize the broken glass. The other 2 worked on the installation of the new windows, one working inside and one working outside. They worked diligently cleaning as they went. Bravo to Robert and his crew. After the installation was completed, I paid the remaining balance. The county building inspector came and was very satisfied with the installation. He verified the windows were all working and installed properly even measuring the distance between screws and comparing it to the architectural drawings. He said that New South has some of the best and cleanest installations that he sees. The service department at New South then came out to check over the installation, to install the caps and covers, which conceal the screws. Two of my windows had damaged /missing screen frames and the service department is on it. I will update when they make good on replacing the screens. My wife and I are very pleased.

We hired Pella for a turnkey window and door project: new windows and doors in our home addition,…read moreplus replacement windows in the main house. Installation began July 6, 2026. As of September 22, the job is far from complete and communication has broken down entirely. Problems started on day one. The subcontracted installation crew arrived unaware they were replacing existing windows in addition to installing the new ones. They left our home a wreck: blinds taken down with parts scattered around, window sills removed (many still not reinstalled), and plaster and drywall damaged. Pella sent a crew to repair the drywall, but the work was so poor our general contractor had his own drywall sub finish it. A roughly 6-foot window shattered during installation, and a second shattered on its own about two weeks later. Neither has been replaced. Outstanding issues include: Locks that don't work and missing door handles Premium doors ordered factory-painted inside and out, delivered painted only on the exterior. Pella offered field painting instead, which we agreed to evaluate before requesting replacement, but the painter never showed up. Trim covering the window screws, promised after inspection, never installed Two large windows with missing or incomplete interior caulking Unfilled screw holes in the door jambs Throughout the project, our sales rep has been extremely difficult to reach. Neither we nor our GC have heard back from him in weeks despite repeated calls and texts. For a premium brand sold as a turnkey installation, this has been an awful experience. I can't recommend Pella. Order: 0655TSLR26
