The incentive structure always seems to promote corner cutting. Even with the best contractors, it seems, you have to advocate for yourself and your property. Galaxy Builders is quite possibly the only exception I have to this rule. We had a chimney with a disintegrating chase and flashing. During Jacksonville's regular summer thunderstorms, we were getting a big musty smell and moisture into the drywall above the fireplace mantle. We decided the best long-term plan was to cut it off and roof over it (we don't use the fireplace anyway). Galaxy completed the work while we were across the country. Sent updates throughout the day. Sent photos of the work when finished. And it has completely fixed the moisture issue and musty smell. If you're looking for a contractor you can trust and don't have to manage through every step of the process, call Galaxy Builders and save yourself the headache.

I recently noticed a area in my yard was not getting proper watering and went out to look at it so…read more looking at it, I had noticed they poured concrete for the Post to hold the gate and it was up against the sprinkler head, so I was able to remove two chunks that were up against the sprinkler head and then turned the irrigation on and it was not rotating properly so I called them up to take care of it for me ( to clean up the concrete that they poured right next to the sprinkler head and fix it ) So a guy came out, took a look at it took pictures made notes and said he would get back with me. Never heard back from them for 10 days. So I called.them back to find out what was going on, and the secretary would give them a note to call me back The guy that came out that looked at the problem called me back and he said the owner Scott ( which is on the beach Boulevard location) it was out of warranty. What a crock! The stuff was there the day they left ! I had spent a good amount of money with them ( also had them do another project In that time frame ) and yet Scott couldn't fix a problem for me being it was out of warranty when I caught the problem wow! That is poor customer service I work in the trade industry-as well, but not what they do, but I know what I do for a living demands quality and customer service are the most important thing for what I do. Would not recommend them and won't ever do business with them ever again !

Along the way, they noticed a few things that needed attention and called/emailed us immediately to inform us and to see what we wanted to do. Communication was great throughout the entire job. Michael was the main handyman on the job and was wonderful! His attention to detail with the woodworking was excellent. Freddy also helped Michael during the process.
