When I am met with such remarkable service, I feel compelled to share it. This is my first yelp…read morereview because I am truly grateful for meeting Terri Kent. After interviewing with 4 other agencies (who all told me that I was great and shouldn't have a problem finding work ), I felt like working with recruiters was a waste of time. I would go in for an interview with them, they would send me out on 1 or 2 interviews and then I would never hear back from them again. I was beginning to feel insecure and less confident after going on so many interviews (doubling the count since I would often meet with a recruiter first). Then I met the AMAZING Terri (Clark) Kent - she was my superwoman. Her encouragement and determination in placing me at a good law firm kept my spirits and confidence up. Her communication and feedback was more than I could ask for - as soon as she heard back from clients she would contact you right away. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and caring. Without her support, I may have completely given up on trying to enter the legal field. After a few weeks, she landed me a good job working records at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman - a well-known and prestigious law firm! Thank You Terri!!!!!!!

And that was for a job I think their other applicants turned down to interview, so they contacted me. . . As a seasoned Executive Assistant with over 23 years of experience supporting senior leadership…read moreacross high-level organizations, I was genuinely excited about the opportunity to contribute to this team. Unfortunately, my interaction with Melissa Buccino was incredibly disheartening. From the moment I joined the video interview, it was clear that my presence was not welcomed with the same openness or interest as one would expect in a fair hiring process. The conversation was cut abruptly short lasting less than a minute, with no genuine attempt to engage or understand my background, despite my extensive qualifications. It was difficult not to notice how quickly I was dismissed, and I left the conversation feeling that my identity as a woman of color may have played a role in how I was treated. Representation matters but only when it's backed by action, respect, and equitable treatment. This experience made me question the branch's commitment to true inclusion and its approach to recognizing real talent. To future candidates, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds I urge caution. And to the leadership: do better. Melissa Buccino do better! Talent comes in many forms, and every candidate deserves a fair shot and a respectful conversation. Also, if you're expecting follow up or even a rejection letter this "experienced," organization seems to lack common curiosity of that, so just move on to other consulting firms that have a better reputation and who actually care for your success.

I was pretty sure I would be renewed, but just in case I put out my safety feelers. A friend recommended Magley since he was really pleased with both their ability to place him, and to negotiate the terms he wanted. I sent them an email and received back immediate confirmation and interest. The next day we had a phone conversation and Laura told me that they had tons of work for someone like me and she could get me A LOT more money. True to her word, I had a new gig lined up at about 25% more money within the month. I am at the new gig now, and have been really happy with the professionalism and enthusiasm that all the team at Magley has demonstrated. They have followed up with me frequently to make sure the placement is off to a good start, and made sure I don't need anything. Every conversation I have had with them has been friendly, upbeat and energetic. Beyond all this, what really sold me on Magley was that when the sick pay law passed, they didn't keep it on the down-low hoping their consultants/contractors wouldn't notice. Instead, they sent actual letters in the snail mail to everyone on their books informing them of their new rights, and how to go about getting the sick pay they are entitled to. I've been asking around an no other agencies that I have heard of have bothered to notify their contractors/consultants at all. Way to take care of your peeps Magley - you rock!

I was unhappy about my last -last job & had reached out to recruiters…read more Met with about 20 recruiters & of course there are the batch that really don't actually care. They just match what's on PAPER & not the PERSON that you are. I met with Sabrina early 2016 & I was overwhelmed with her energy & glowing spirit which was also reflective of the entire office! This was back when they were in the city. That is HOW LONG I've been working with Sabrina. We've always kept in contact which was everything. I told her I am not happy at my current workplace at the time & that I am NOT in a rush to get another job. I respectfully wanted to find the best match possible. Its all in the details. We were speaking one time and she asked me about my daughter. It meant everything because again, other recruiters DON'T CARE about your person although it makes & affects who you are! I was shocked she actually cared enough to reach out & check in on something that really mattered to me. She was so consistent and communicative. I never had to worry. We text just bc its easier & it is 2017! Hello She always kept me in the loop! Didn't miss a beat. I finally quit my job in July 2016 with nowhere to go. As a human being I just couldn't take it anymore. I kept Sabrina in the loop & she submitted me for opportunities & I had a couple interviews but not quite the best match yet. On Jan. 2017 I started a new job I thought would be great but I learned 2-3 months in was terrible! I reached out to Sabrina explaining how further unhappy I was. (Im a great hard working person I promise! ;) Was simply seeking a fun, healthy working environment respectfully. She presented me with a few opportunities & collaboratively Sabrina & Shannon placed me with an opportunity I at first did not think too much of. This opportunity was EXACTLY what I was looking for & more. I would love to say it found me. This is a testament of how 'things happen when you least expect it'. They really blew me away when I honestly shared with them my concerns during negotiation. I told them my hesitations and they reassured me not to hesitate. They made me feel that much more confident and fluidly ironed out both my needs & wants. Simply THE. BEST. !

I worked with Rachel and Cat on two different opportunites: EXTREMELY thorough, truly invested in my candidacy, led me through the process twice and couldn't have cared about me more as a person and the success of my candidacy than they did. The night before a major interview/presentation that I was supposed to give to a panel as a final step, four members of their team, including Mark, jumped on a call with me for over an hour, gave me some fantastic constructive criticism and suggested some key changes that elevated the preso from good to great. Rachel, Cat and Mark are directly responsible for finding me an opportunity right in the heart of the covid crisis / 20+% unemployment and leading me through to an offer. If you're a company looking for an agency to work with in sourcing talent, they'll find top quality candidates and make sure they're prepared. If you're a candidate looking for an opportunity, I've never worked with such an attentive, caring group of people in pursuing a new position. My recruiter told me that he'd get back to me with some positions for me by the end of the day and even told me of one while I was meeting with him. He made it sound as though there were TONS of opportunities, he just had to narrow his search. Well I sent an email the next day to clarify a little bit more of what I wanted. Sure enough my recruiter called with an opportunity and to set up a phone interview with them. This is where things started to go wrong, we had scheduled to have a prep phone call for the interview which he never called me for. Then I called half an hour after the scheduled time and he told me he'd call me at x time. Well he called me half an hour AFTER that. While some of the things he said were helpful, most of it I already knew and he even said maybe I should get a cup of coffee to wake up, alluding to the fact that I guess I sounded tired on the phone. Then the company calls me for the interview and I start answering questions as best I can. And about 5 minutes into the interview the guy basically cuts it short and starts telling me that I'm clearly not the right fit, what was I thinking, I need to work on my interviewing skills, I should go and buy a book about it, etc, etc. So I hang up and just chalk it up to a bad interview. After some thought I realize that the path I've started to take isn't the right one and I alert my recruiter about my decision to go another route. I send a polite email saying it was a pleasure working with you, I'm sorry, I've changed my mind. To which he replies with the most unprofessional response I have EVER heard, basically saying how I was a waste of time and that I made him look like a douche bag in front of his client with all the glorious perp he'd given me, and that he was glad I found this out at his expense. Irate, I contact his supervisor, who tries to smooth over the problem and figure out what went wrong but doesn't really ever apologize for my ex-recruiters behavior, and even makes a stab and my new choice of career, similar to the coffee remark. DO NOT under ANY circumstances work with this agency. They are unprofessional in ever sense of the word - late phone calls, mediocre advice, poor management, the works. Even their supervisors can't get it together. A person can chance their mind, and NOTHING gives you the right to insult them for it. I wouldn't even give them any stars if I was given the choice...
