Hannah (direct hire) reached out to me on Indeed at the end of June and I went in to meet with her to talk about my job search and salary goals and what not. Immediately after our meeting she sent me a list of jobs she had at her desk that matched my background. Over the course of the next 3 months, she sent me jobs, I told her whether I was interested, and waited to hear back from her whether or not the company in question wanted to interview me. I went on about 5 interviews or so over the next 3 months, all of them at the salary range we had discussed. During my job search, I honestly considered her my best friend as she had taken all of the stress of finding a new job while I was still working a full time job. She was extremely responsive to emails. She prepped me for interviews and helped me hone my interview skills. While not all my interviews landed in offers, she never gave up on me and kept working with me until I signed with a company. I had reached out/spoken to multiple other recruiting firms that either never got back to me or talked to me once and I never heard from again. Having graduated fairly recently I was very active in the job market and connected with a crap ton of staffing agencies--out of everyone I worked with Premier has been the best at returning feedback, responding to my emails/calls, connecting me with interviews/companies, and advice in general. I was hired and worked for a company for about 2 months and had to leave recently because of family reasons. It was a great job with a wonderful culture fit. Due to re location I've been researching recruiters again and came across Premier online. I'm familiar with this company and would advise others to consider the negative comments on this site before contacting them. Working with a recruiting agency, there's always some ambiguity on where/what/which company or role you would be doing. Recruiters are only so familiar with certain industries or levels of experience. Their job is to find workers for their clients. Some recruiters might have less work experience than the job seeker so you have to consider that when relying on any recuiter. From my past experience with Premier, it was more like getting sent in as an unskilled office day laborer than helping you find a role that might be a good fit. What's the point of assessing a job seeker's skill set when in the end the only roles being offered to them are menial? That's what happened to me, at the time I was looking for an entry level administrative role but Premier kept sending me into short term assignments where I'd spend the day in a file room shredding papers. Prior to accepting the role I was told it would be an admin position working with execs. Nope. Some of the people who worked at these companies that I was sent to noticed it wasn't what I should be doing and told me as much. Some were even nice enough to talk to me to help figure out what I want. Which was much more than Premier, who would ignore my complaints at the roles not being what I had been informed and agreed to be doing. In the end their response was that they can't help me and good luck. Not only that, but I there was an unhealthy environment where at my initial visit/screening at their office, a few of the recruiters made comments about my outfit and told me to model it for them, including being instructed to twirl. Women can be just as bullying as men - and from recruiters it's deeming. read more

No personal contact after submitting my resume and identifying my career interests through their website. On Tuesday, I submitted my resume and candidate profile online casting a very broad net (temp/contract/full-time in a myriad of roles). On Wednesday, I received a form-email stating, "... we unfortunately do not have any current job openings that match your specific experience and background at this time". I have 20+ years experience in an corporate environment. I wish to relaunch my career in a new direction, hence I reached out to a staffing firm which provides placement services in my targeted roles. I have transferable skills and experience, and yet I did not receive even a phone call to (1) setup an interview, or (2) to discuss how my background and experience is relevant to the jobs which I'm targeting. By a random roundabout day of miscommunication, I ended up in Premier's office one day. Confusion aside, they had me meet with one of their staff members anyway. This man (Matt Ruport) then proceeded to sit down with me and really look over my resume, listened to me talk about my career goals and interests, and asked me a bunch of questions which helped me sort out what it is I really am interested in and what types of jobs I think I'd be good at and enjoy. He then took even more time to e-mail me with suggested corrections/beefer-uppers to my resume (times this process by about 4 or 5 e-mails) and then sent my new flashy resume to a company they work with who was hiring and I was interested in. One week later, I was interviewing with said company... one week after that, I landed the only second interview the company gave out, and one DAY later, I had a job offer (which I accepted - wahoo!) Wow. These guys are great at what they do, care about the people they're working with and for, and are very intent on placing their clients in not just temp positions but full-time jobs with awesome companies. I really am so grateful for Premier Staffing. I am a recent college graduate and I had been searching for a job for about 3 months. I was getting very discouraged. I submitted my resume to a couple of recruiting agencies but the only one to get back to me was Premier. And that was within a week of me applying to their site. I was able to go in the very next day! Suddenly, I had a choice of not one but two jobs to choose from. I was astounded. I picked the most appealing one and before I knew it I was working that Monday. I am so glad I came to Premier. They are super nice, friendly and extremely helpful. Premier can be a great option for those who want to supplement their income, or are in transition. I cannot speak to their permanent staffing capabilities, but I've had some experience with their temp work. PROS I interviewed with Kyleen, which was a very pleasant experience. Within a week, Kyleen had me placed in a centrally located corporate office, with a friendly staff. When the assignment ended, the agency ran a few more roles by me. CONS Unfortunately, the agency does not pay you to go on interviews with companies that have very involved interview processes. I spent four hours interviewing for one position, that resulted in the company hiring with another agency. This might be an industry norm, so just a warning. Also, my communication with the agency started off strong, but became weak over time. I updated some personal information, that some how lead to misinformation about my availability- very disappointing. I recommend checking in with your rep frequently. OVERALL I like the process of someone else finding pleasant work for me, even if they take a cut of my salary. Sometimes, a job search can be frustrating, and it's nice to know that an agency has contacts that they want to match you with, in the short-term. Also, if you're flexible about your salary, you may end up with a good paying gig. I've been offered a range of positions with a pretty large range in salary - start off flexible if you can, because it might pay later. read more

Was laid off from my job earlier this year. Have been signing up with job agencies since, as well as submitting resumes to other companies. A guy named Eian from Premier contacted me, wanting to set up a meeting. I followed the instructions he emailed me to set up a Zoom meeting. On the day and time of the scheduled meeting I'm sitting there waiting for someone to connect into the meeting, and no one ever did. I never even received a regular phone call. I never received any notification of cancellation or rescheduling. I sent Eian an email, which has yet to be responded to, and more than likely never will be! Just an update to my initial review. The one thing new that I want to say is companies like Premier aren't the end all be all. They will make you feel like you are unwanted, but it's not true. I came to them 5 years ago with 3 years of project and program management experience under my belt managing NIH sponsored clinical research trials and yet they were able to make me feel so small. I was 27 when I applied to them and yet they made me feel so old. But there are other companies who will be helpful and supportive, and thoughtful. Who will value your skills and fight for you. Career Group is one of them. So even if Premier doesn't appreciate you and what you bring to the table, there are other companies out there who will. Really a mixed bag of recruiters. Some were competent and professional, while others don't seem to care much about anything, besides making a commission. I understand they need to get paid, but they don't seem to understand that they are dealing with humans. Especially in this field, I think it's important to build good relationships with both employers and candidates. I won't name names, but I've worked with a recruiter recently who can't even get the interviewer's name/title or my name right, and I've worked with them over the last few months! The agency helped me get a position back in 2013, I am grateful for that, but since then I've not had a good experience with them. read more

There are better recruiting agencies out there, don't settle. Since I signed up with Premier, every single opportunity they told me about had major downsides. Either way below my desired pay, part time, or for a short contract only. I told them my requirements from the beginning and it felt like they didn't listen to me at all. Eventually I agreed to go to an interview, for which I was offered the job. The job was not what I wanted and the pay was below my minimum requirements so I turned it down. After that I got a rude email stating they couldn't offer me anything else and essentially cut me off. The next agency I signed up with immediately presented me with several great opportunities and at much higher salaries than Premier ever offered me and I had a stable full-time job within less than a month. The worst part is that while working with them, I started to question my own worth as a candidate, which is just terrible to feel while working with an agency whose interest should be in your success. read more

I was in a meeting w/ my boss. Did they set you up with a new time." Me: "Yes, noon." Jaimie: "Oh, um...I told them one." Me: "Okay, it's one now. Does that work for you?" Jaimie: "Actually, no...I really don't have time to talk to you. Can I schedule you to come in next week?" See...I consider myself a pretty professional person. So, if I say I'm going to show up for a meeting...I'm gonna show up for the meeting. I would love to have a 5 star review rating for this firm and hopefully I can change this review in the future but that will not be the case today. I was offered two different positions - offer in hand by two different recruiters here and I turned both of them down. I am nice enough to not name names since this is a bad review. The recruiters were not telling me the truthful picture and kept things from me. I finally had to reach out to friends of mine who worked internally in the companies I was given an offer from and they shared that the salary growth and challenging personalities I would support were not what these recruiters shared with me. They knew that these two points were very important to me and asked them to clear up with HR why the past assistants left. They left becuae their bosses were borderline abusive. They did not tell me truth and my gut told me something was wrong. Thank goodness for our gut instincts! I think they have too much going on and are getting a little greedy. First thing that comes to mind when I think of Premier? SHADY. I was duped by Premier. Twice. I submit a resumé for a job posting I see on Craigslist. There's NO indication whatsoever in the posting that it's an agency. It's worded as if the opening were coming directly from the company. So when I get a message from a recruiter at Premier Staffing the very next day about my resumé submission, I'm a little put-off. In the recruiter's message, she asks that I call her back to set up an interview. Despite feeling they're a little shady for not being forthcoming about being a staffing agency, I decide the position posted is perfect for me and that doing the interview would be worth it. I go to Premier's offices to meet w/ the recruiter and proceed to discuss my work experience w/ her. Then she goes into the general questions that every staffing agency asks and I'm thinking to myself, "okay...whatever", I'll humor her by answering her questions although I have no desire to really go through an agency. Then I begin asking her about the specific position I applied for and she quickly says "Oh, I think that position's been filled" and then starts talking about something else! WTF?!? So I'm pissed - it's a hot day and I'm in a monkey suit trying to sell myself for a position that no longer exists! During the rest of our talk I internally say a couple of "woo-saaaaahs" and figure maybe it's not so bad to be signed up w/ an agency. I remain polite. I need a job and the recruiter seems very professional and personable so I shouldn't be too picky, right? WRONG! The following week, I miss a call from the recruiter who leaves me a rambling message asking if I'd be interested in some position. I call her 10 minutes later, leave her a message asking her to call me back about the position and I haven't heard from her since!!! How unprofessional is that? Hope they lose my number! Seriously, if you are looking for professionals, act like one. You would think a company like Premier would direct their staff to, at the very least, set up an auto response on their email. Something simple like "Thank you for your interest in working with Premier. We will review your application and will contact you if there is a good match. In the mean time, best of luck in your search." Easy. It would take 2 minutes (maybe) and make for a much improved experience. After all people, they are making money off of you and their success depends on attracting qualified candidates. I've been very successful working with placement agencies in the past and will not waste my time in the future responding the the numerous ads placed by this company. Totally disappointing. I was referred to Premier by a good friend, and was actually contacted by them to come in and meet with Jamie. On the day of my appointment, I arrived 10 minutes early, as I am extremely punctual, especially when meeting with someone who would potentially send me on interviews. 30 minutes later (not counting the 10 I was early), so really 40 minutes later, Jamie, who looked rushed, finally came out to meet me and within 15 minutes, she ripped apart my resume, told me what to keep and not to keep, answered a phone call and pushed me out the door. Ummm....not the best first impression I was expecting. A week later, I e-mailed Jamie my revised resume and 3 days later when I hadn't heard from her I e-mailed to check in. She asked if I could send again, so I did. Again when I hadn't received a response, I e-mailed once more and AGAIN she asked me to send it. Really? If you can't keep tabs on an e-mail, how am I supposed to trust that you'll send me on interviews and find me a job? I have e-mailed Jamie one last time and surprise! no reply. I really wanted to have good things to say about this place, but clearly that's not going to happen. Maybe Premier can hire me? I'd love to get paid for not doing anything. read more

I really don't know how this staffing firm has received such great reviews. Are you guys paying Yelp to keep your stars or writing your own 5 star reviews? Initially when visiting and meeting with the recruiter Molly, I felt the opportunity to find job placement was promising. Molly complemented me on my well thought out resume, my demeanor and my strong motivation to be working again. She said she has a lot of jobs in the works and would keep me updated if an opportunity came up. Needless to say... I've been working with them for months and they have not even set me up on a phone screening, interview, NOTHING. When calling them and asking them if there were any positions they said they had nothing that came up that they felt was specific enough, that their clients were looking for a particular candidate, but looking for jobs on my own I saw several postings through their agency for qualifications I had. When I asked about them to Molly she said that they don't update their job board and some of those should be taken down or have already been filled. Really...? I just saw it on Craigslist and it was posted TODAY. I don't really know what the deal is at this agency but what a total bust! I hate agencies that promise you the sky and know how to talk the talk, but when it all boils down to it they leave you with ABSOLUTELY no leads. There are no follow-ups, no check-ins and no updates of incoming jobs. Premier and their recruiters seemed more interested in increasing their pool of candidates than actually investing on them. I've had more luck getting interviews on my own than working with this agency. This agency didn't do JACK S***! I'm warning you people... don't even waste your time. read more

I was intrigued by all of the positive reviews here, so I completed the profile on their website hoping to use the agency. A week later I got a message from them, and when I returned the call there were several strange things. First, it was as though I called someones cell- they answered like some of my friends do when I call them too early. I wasn't even sure if it was a business, and there was no apologetic tone when the woman realized it was a business call. Second, once we got through the awkwardness of the first few minutes, she pulled my information from the computer....but then thought I was inquiring about an ad from Craigslist. Third, when we set up an interview, she sent me an email with no less than 10 attachments. I found it presumptuous and off putting that they would send me timecards and a W-4 without an interview. In my opinion an interview is a two way street- not just for them to accept me but for both sides to determine if it's a good fit. It was probably the two separate instructionals that were already admonishing me for questioning the choice of assignments that weirded me out the most. Do I need tips about how to best handle where you've placed me when I'm not sure I'm interested in giving you my business? There was also a large description of possible problems with receiving a check, all with a tone that I'd already done something wrong. Not a good sign. I canceled my interview because after re-reading all these reviews I got a bad feeling. Yes people do seem to love them, but they are also a sponsored search result. The combination of all these things seemed off, and perhaps it was just a bad day at the office, but I was pretty uncomfortable. I was referred to them by another person that they had placed successfully and spoke of them very highly. I had the initial interview, and it seemed to go well. Then, nothing. No returned phone calls or emails despite regular attempts for a month. To be clear-I'm not bitter and I don't begrudge them for not placing me, as I was looking to switch fields I am sure I wasn't their ideal candidate. However, I do consider it hugely unprofessional and rude that they couldn't be bothered to return a call or email. A simple two line email reply to the effect "We do not think Premier is the right agency for your needs" would have prevented the waste of my time. I'm not telling you not to work with them, but I do think that if that rep had neither the professionalism or the balls to write a polite rejection letter, they are probably in the wrong business. read more
