I feel bad I never reviewed Six Degrees. They actually got me my current job almost 5 years ago. At the time, I felt like it was going to be a forever job. I was mid-30s then, had many degrees and job experiences. But I felt my next job would be my last job. Like I was tired of interviewing and I was tired of working jobs I didn't like or didn't pay well. I wanted a job that checked all the boxes and I went out for two great jobs and landed one of them. Worked out for the best. I still think the current job is going to be the last job I'll have until I retire! read more

After reaching out to me insistently on LinkedIn, I agreed to a quick chat with Jen. I work regularly with both local and world-class recruiters, but this "meeting" was unlike anything I'd ever experienced. No introduction, a lengthy set of rapid-fire, shallowly-formed questions and a laborious, EXHAUSTING process of educating her about both the minutiae of being a C-level assistant across different industries in LA and the very well-documented current entertainment industry dumpster fire (completely accessible to anyone who occasionally checks the news). Er, hello to you too? The more information I provided, the more hostile she became. Despite providing no context for her call, she was incredibly offended when I asked to know more about her company (which virtually has no online presence, is located in SF and has no relevance to me otherwise). I tried to defuse and explain that her messages were pretty vague, that I of course wanted to learn more, but she claimed she was intentionally being vague. Uh, so why would I want to talk to YOU? She had reached out saying she wanted "to discuss the details of this exciting opportunity!" So you're a stranger on the internet, with no credibility, presenting yourself on lies? Yet I'm kindly giving you my slammed time, which is why I didn't even see all your e-mails. Rude. She never did discuss any "details." I was astounded that she seemed to absorb nothing despite a lengthy, detailed and organic dissertation that clearly fit the role even before I found out what it was. Despite admitting she didn't have any exposure to this industry, she then claimed that I wasn't qualified for this fishy "multi-media platform" that "was just getting started" in LA and the reason her "friend" who "owned the company" was panicking asking for her help. I WONDER WHY. Drained AF, I reiterated my points and tried to wrap the call. She then seemed to hesitate at her hasty (highly confused) assumptions and asked me for my resume. Severely dismayed at this point, a surprised laugh escaped my mouth. What baffles me is 1) HER own admission of HER utter lack of grasp of the entertainment industry 2) the gall to tell an actual relevant professional her (self-confessed, unqualified) opinion 3) the fact that SHE reached out to ME because of MY experience 4) DIDN'T READ MY LINKEDIN despite contacting ME. ON LINKEDIN. NOR ONCE THINK TO REQUEST MY RESUME (are you sure you're a recruiter?!), but was angry that I didn't know who the hell SHE was?! (LOL) 5) never explained nor seemed to know the point of her own call herself, and 6) after crystal-clear, thoughtfully detailed answers (where she continuously cut me off before I could finish, really), then deciding, with her limited toxic 1990s operation and understanding, that whatever compelled her to message me repetitively was also magically defunct. Do you even know what a reference is? If your friend knows no one in LA and they're supposedly such accomplished C-level execs, are they so helpless and ignorant that they do not know to connect to relevant and QUALIFIED executives and agencies, HERE? Don't YOU? So.. not just one, but two unqualified individuals who are not only lost in the weeds, but completely resistant to locating the most common-sense answers sitting right in your hands.. deciding who is qualified. Uh, okay. The network of C-level assistants here is tight, and we and our bosses talk, you know. If your company is a start-up that's new to the LA+entertainment bubble, most competent assistants will not want to work for toxic AND incompetent people, ma'am. The big names might be abusive, but at LEAST there are solid connections and advancements to suffer for. You need us more than we need you - enjoy the oncoming years of high turnover, lmao. This 17-minute ordeal was ill-organized, unprofessional, unnecessarily aggressive, dehumanizing, toxic and overall, archaic as shit. Even the most reclusive person (me) living under a rock under a pond is inevitably exposed to and can easily understand the gist of basic current events. The bare minimum of professionalism requires knowing why they're calling, being civilized, respecting peoples' time, LISTENING and not openly projecting such personal flaws. Before stumbling on all these questionable 5-star reviews, I fully thought this was a scam. After hopping onto the rest of my meetings for the day, I couldn't help but marvel at how much.. a wild blip in the Twilight Zone, this whole encounter was, in such stark contrast. Granted, Hollywood is brimming with crazies at every level, but this was still so horrifying to me. I am amazed that professionals so out of touch and so lacking in self-awareness are allowed to exist - the exact opposite of the reviews written about her own employees on here. Note no distinctly good mentions of Jen and consistent patterns in the hidden(!) scathing reviews. Whatever world operates in such defeatist fashion, you deserve better. Save yourself. read more

I too was VERY disappointed with Six Degrees. Over the course of 3 months I worked with Suzy Ryan and she sent me out on some great interviews. Initially I was please with her responsiveness and upbeat attitude. Just when things were going really well (she said I was at the top of a very short list for a great job) all communication stopped. I tried emailing/calling Suzy several times and never got a response. After a few weeks of fuming I turned to yelp to look at other options and was comforted in the fact that lots of people seem to have had a similar experience with Suzy and Six Degrees. She was recommended by a great friend who was shocked to hear about my experience. Maybe something happened to her? Maybe she didn't like me? Maybe she couldn't place me? Who knows, but I'm a big girl, I can handle rejection. The least she could have done do was "close the loop" instead of leaving me hanging. It's rude, and unprofessional, and career suicide, especially in a city as small and close knit as San Francisco. I will never recommend Suzy or Six Degrees to anyone. BTW, I've since found and awesome job with one of the top finance firms in the city, thanks to Premier!! read more

Karen Brunner has completely revived my confidence in recruiters. I've worked with so many who promise you the stars, but never follow through. I've never expected a recruiter to land a job for me, but I do expect them to follow through with what they tell me. I met with Karen on a Monday, she said she had a perfect position for me to interview for, and I was at the company interviewing the very next day. Thank you, Karen. Finally, someone who follows through. If I ever find myself hitting the pavement again, Karen will be the first person I contact. read more

So, I graduated law school and took the bar, after which it was time to get a job while I waited for the results. I contacted Jan Solomon at Six Degrees - really just to catch up and start networking (we had worked together at her previous firm). I went to her office to meet her for lunch, walked in, and she asked me, "I think I have a great position for you." She and I worked on my resume and I went off to the interview a couple of days later. I was prepped on the company and the manager who was interviewing me. They coached me and gave me some great guidance. I got the job and worked as a temp for a few months. Long story short - my manager and I got along great. I passed the bar and he offered me another position doing precisely what I wanted and what I trained for. I have my dream job! It was all unexpected and all due to Jan's intuitive nature and ability to know a "fit" when she sees it. She followed up and really advocated for me. I was impressed. While working as a temp, the staff at Six Degrees was supportive, responsive, respectful and professional. My company continues to use them and they turn out good talent. There are a slew of agencies out there but Jan and everyone at Six Degrees set themselves apart. read more

My experience with Six Degrees is a "hit it out of the park on the first try" kind of thing. I first met with Karen Brunner in late June, and by August I had started a full time gig with great pay and benefits working with good people in the heart of San Francisco's Financial District. Obviously Karen has great instincts about talent and can advocate for the job seeker in a highly effective fashion! I have been at my new job now for 6 weeks, and am loving every minute*. I am so grateful to have met and worked with Karen! *Okay, maybe not *every* minute, but darn close. read more

There is not really a way to say how great this agency is!!! Karen Brunner is absolutely amazing! I am so lucky to have met Karen and had the opportunity to work with her! She has made a promise to me when we first met and did not stop until that was kept. Working with her was very easy. Her skills and work ethic shows her passion for what she does. There is constant follow up and you know she is there for you even when you are ready to give up sometimes! Karen has shown commitment from the first day I have met her and she was in an instant supportive to help me with my job search. She really gets to know you from the get go and guides you through the process. Love her upbeat and positive attitude! And above all she is such a wonderful and brilliant individual! read more

With my recent job search I was contacted by a number of recruiting firms, and Six Degrees was by far the most responsive and professional. Karen Brunner was a great representative who really took the time to work with me on my resume and interview prep before interviewing for a job (that I got!) I was very pleased with my experience and would happily refer others to work with Karen. She was super friendly, communicative, and positive throughout the whole process! read more

Karen Brunner at Six Degrees is a top notch recruiter. She is extremely professional, friendly, energetic, knowledgeable and well connected. I have never worked with a recruiter before who was so passionate and dedicated in helping me find a job that suited me, my needs, my personality, etc. After I was given an offer letter from a worldwide, top tier company, in much excitement and thrill she said to me, "I was absolutely determined to find you a job!" Throughout the interviewing process she acted as a coach and a guide, making sure that I was absolutely prepared on all fronts. I can honestly say that because of Karen's dedication and devotion to me and my job search in San Francisco, I have been given a tremendous opportunity with a fantastic company. I appreciate all of her efforts and recommend Six Degrees to manage your job search150%. By the way, I too do not agree with the few one star comments that have been posted. Absolutely not the experience I have had with Six Degrees!! read more

I had the pleasure of being contacted by Karen Brunner after applying online for one of many jobs. She invited me to her office and we had a nice chat/ interview. What struck me most was how excited she was for me and how quickly she whipped my resume into shape. Just her input on my resume alone more than doubled my call backs for other positions I was applying to on my own. Having never worked with a temp agency/ recruiter before, I can say that I didn't really know what to expect. Well, expect this: a hard working, inspiring, and deeply knowledgable individual on your side at every moment of the job search! Karen touched base with me consistently and kept me in the game for a very competitive position that I've since accepted. It is without a doubt the first time I can say that I have a career as opposed to just a job that pays the bills. Another positive aspect of my experience was that I was able to receive feedback from potential employers through Karen after my interviews. What a luxury! I never knew what I was doing right or wrong in interviews, and it turned out to be the smallest details. She helped me improve through coaching and pep talks before each interview and boom! I got into the career field I'd been hoping to break into for some time and I couldn't be happier! So, thank you Karen! And to anyone looking for someone to help them up to that next rung in their career, this is definitely the place to start!! read more

I rarely write yelp reviews, but this review is so worth it. First of all, Suzy is such an amazing woman. She was so genuine from the first time we met, and she asked me exactly what I wanted and didn't want in a role. She got to work and ended up finding me the perfect job (location and salary-wise). No yelp review will ever amount to how thankful I am that Suzy was able to get me exactly what I wanted within a matter of one month. From the time I met with Suzy until my final interview (I had 3) the process was so short and smooth. Thank you!! read more

Karen Brunner is AMAZING! She is always a pleasure to work with and she fully understands where to place you when looking for a job. She knows your strengths and connects you with a job that you will love and excel in. The companies that work with Six Degrees are both wonderful and prestigious. I highly recommend this company for anyone who is looking for a great career. A++++++ rating. Don't waste your time and come here! read more

Six Degrees is a true gem in the world of recruiting. Its star jewel is Karen Brunner. Karen was able to facilitate an amazing job opportunity (great salary, benefits, and work/life balance) for me immediately. She takes the time to see what is important to the candidate before placing them. In addition, she is very intuitive and has an excellent gauge of the "right fit" which could not be more important in placing someone in the appropriate position. The one thing I really love about Karen is that she cares. She cares about her client and where they continue their career. She is not just looking for a quick job placement; she looks for the appropriate placement for both parties. She also stays in touch with me on a regular basis to make sure that everything is moving along swimmingly. I cannot recommend Karen and Six Degrees highly enough. read more

Suzy is awesome. She is the most compassionate and honest recruiter I have ever worked with. She was always very up front about the assignments I took on and was so optimistic and supportive throughout my time with Six Degrees. She would actually check in and see how I was liking the assignment---something a lot of recruiters fail to do. With her help, I landed a great job with the company I work for today. After 2 years of terrible temp jobs, I stumbled across Six Degrees and connected with Suzy. Of all my temp assignments, the two that I was hired on for through her, were by far my best experiences with temping. I refer my friends to Suzy and she continues to leave a lasting impression on everyone she meets. She even helped my friend land a great job after I sent my friend to her! Kudos to Suzy for all her hard work! read more

I recently had such an incredible experience working with one of the partners of Six Degrees, Ms. Suzy Ryan. Not only was Suzy patient, kind and extremely professional, she listened intently to what I was looking for in my ideal career and situated me into a role that matched just that. I am very thankful for having been connected to Suzy through a friend of mine (Ashley). Suzy is not only an outstanding professional in her field but now a friend as well. read more

I am very surprised by the negative comments. I had a terrific experience with Six Degrees and highly recommend Karen Brunner! I interviewed with Karen, Katy and Suzy and found them to be very professional, organized and well connected. Any and all tips were spot on and I greatly appreciated them. They sent me out on quality opportunities that perfectly fit the company profile I was seeking. Their follow up was better than any other top agency I've experienced in San Francisco. They found me a perfect match and I am very happy and grateful!! If you are serious about finding a job, you've got to work with the professionals and be open to constructive criticism...they've been at this for a long time and really do know what they are talking about. read more

I'm a little surprised by all of the negative reviews for Six Degrees as well considering I had a pretty good experience. I worked with Karen, she's very helpful and seemed to genuinely want to help. I met with her for an interview and she gave me useful advice in changing my resume and mentioned a few companies she was trying to place candidates in that were related to what I was looking for. I told her the salary range I was hoping to meet, aiming higher than I normally would get for someone with my experience level (recent college grad). I got a call two weeks later about a position with an amazing company that was a little farther than what I was looking for, but definitely worth the drive. We had talked about whether I would be willing to work outside San Francisco if the job was right. She had told me they placed two other people with this company before, and gave me good advice in preparation for the interviews as she knew what qualities the company looks for. I really clicked with the people I interviewed with and felt it was a great match for me. The salary is higher than I had originally aimed for and I work with wonderful people. Karen was great with following up and I would definitely recommend her! read more

I couldn't be happier with Six Degrees after having success not once but twice over the past five years! Karen is wonderful; she takes time to get to know her candidates and provides honest, helpful feedback. Her positive energy is motivating, and even though I've only worked with Karen, the rest of the Six Degrees staff members (most of whom I've met in passing) are lovely, too. I have met with several SF placement agencies, and my experience with Six Degrees far exceeds any other. Karen's interview preparation is so thorough, too -- she really knows her clients and her insight is invaluable. Thank you! read more

I have worked with a lot of recruiting firms in New York, Florida, and San Francisco. Six degrees has been the best so far. I worked directly with Karen Brenner. She was great. She was very friendly, honest, and a great communicator. I meet with her at the office once and the next day I had an interview with Sephora. The position was in the city making really good money in a postion with growth. I think all the recruiters have a good sense of making the right job matches. I was offered the position at Sephora within a few days. It was very painless and easy. I ended up going with another offer and Karen was very understanding and wished me a lot of luck. I would defiantly work with Six Degrees again. read more

When I first started my job search I was more than a little intimidated. I had several recruiters who wanted to shop my resume, but very few of them understood what types of roles would be the right fit for me. Kim Shamus has been my savior during this search. She really understands what I am looking for in my next position, and she has been nothing but a source of positive support during a stressful process. She has been there to lend advice, help shape my interview approach, and she has been nothing but professional and responsive during my search. Kim and all the recruiters at Six Degrees have been fantastic. I would highly recommend them to help anyone searching for their dream job. read more

Six Degrees is by far the best recruiting firm I have ever worked with, and I have met with a LOT of recruiters. Most recruiters meet with you and never contact you again (thanks again for making me skip my lunch!). If they actually send you off for an interview, you get the generic prep of, "Be professional and ask questions." Gee, thanks! I hadn't thought of doing that!! I first met with Karen Brunner a few years ago when I was looking to break out of my current job. She helped me revamp my resume, pulling out all of the important items needed to get me ahead in the direction I wanted to go. Not only that, but she tailored my resume for each position she sent off for as well. Karen really knows her clients, and she uses that information to help her candidates get ahead. This is not your standard prep call! She can tell you the personalities of the managers you will meet with, who she placed there before, how long they've been there, and the energy/personality they typically look for. And, she will keep in touch with you. I pursue other interests on the side that can make it difficult to look for work for months out of the year, but Karen would still call and email even if it had been six months since she last heard from me. Karen believed in my skills, and was understanding of my very specific needs and was committed to finding the right placement for me. Not only do I have a wonderful new job that pays well, but it is the environment I wanted and affords the work/life balance I need. I couldn't be happier, and I cannot recommend Karen and Six Degrees enough!! read more

As someone who used to run my own business (with good experience, and a good education), I never imagined it would be so difficult to find a job when I moved to the Bay Area 6 months ago for my husband's job transfer. Boy was I wrong! I applied for job after job after job, and was registered with no fewer than 6 staffing agencies. Of those 6, only 2 managed to get me even one interview, and when it didn't pan out, basically wrote me off. The problem was that none of them really knew what to do with me and how to "sell" me to their clients. Then I met Karen Brunner of Six Degrees. Unlike the other agencies that made me come up to their offices in SF, Karen made it easy by coming down to a coffee shop near me. The interview felt more like a conversation with someone who really wanted to get to know me, and unlike with the other recruiters, when she said that she had companies that she knew I would be a good fit for, she actually got me interviews with them. When the first ones didn't pan out, she didn't treat me like I was a huge waste of time (like the others implied), and kept trying. Her follow-through was amazing. I had to start out temping at the prestigious company where she placed me, but I'm happy to report that they hired me as a permanent employee after two months and I couldn't be happier! For anyone looking for a job in the Bay Area, they must go to Six Degrees! Like one of the other reviewers said, Six degrees has renewed my faith in recruiters. Thank you Karen! read more

I had a fantastic experience working with Karen Brunner at Six Degrees. She was highly recommended to me by a good friend, and I am so glad I listened to my friend! After getting laid off from my old job, I was feeling a bit down, but Karen was so helpful and encouraging! I was so fortunate to walk in the moment a local architecture firm needed a new receptionist, that was a temp to permanent position. Karen kept in touch with me throughout the temp process and even updated me with different positions that popped up around the city. I just felt like she genuinely wanted to find something great for me! I ended up staying with the architecture firm and just got hired on full time! I would recommend Six Degrees to anyone and I would definitely go back if I ever need to! read more

If one has proficient skills and a friendly and professional demeanor, this agency will certainly go to bat for you. It's a smaller agency but the power is in the punch and I've worked closely with Suzy Ryan and others within the agency and they typically make extra efforts to find a position that matches your skills and qualifications. I noticed a number of people have been "dropped" so to speak, based on past comments - certainly any business will occasionally cut losses due to limits and time and a need to focus on the top clients that have the greatest chance of success. If you have very good experience and credentials, certainly consider working with this firm. read more

Since relocating to San Francisco, I contacted several different recruitment services, and was definitely impressed with Six Degrees over all of the others I worked with. Immediately upon responding to a job ad, I was contacted by Karen Brunner and scheduled an appointment to go in, meet her and discuss my career objectives. We instantly hit it off and this initial meeting was very relaxed though extremely helpful and motivating. She gave me lots of tips, mentioned a few upcoming opportunities she had, and revised my resume for me. Their office was VERY nice and the entire company had a very professional demeanor. Within a few days, she sent me on an interview with a high profile company, and I was really impressed with the amount of time and attention she took to prepare me. I believe we talked for almost 40 minutes the day before I went in. I felt constantly in the loop - even when Karen was on vacation one of her co-workers, Katy (who was also wonderful to work with), would call me with opportunities in her stead. It was a great feeling to be so well taken care of in such a chaotic and difficult job market. Even, during a week when Karen didn't have any new opportunities on her plate, she would call to check in with me and ask what I had going on. I probably talked to her at least once a week and went on more interviews through her than my own job search and other recruiter opportunities combined! It was obvious she had an active interest in me and in placing me, and that kind of detail and attention never faded over the months we worked together in the least. After an expected period of time, I've been recently placed with a company I am VERY excited about! The people are great, they frequently and repeatedly work with Karen, the salary is right where I want it to be, and the office is BEAUTIFUL. It was exactly what I told her I was looking for. To summarize, working with Karen was a fabulous experience. The other recruitment services I've talked with sent me on an interview or two (or, none) and then seemed to forget about me altogether. They rarely returned calls. Out of sight out of mind, I guess. Working with Karen was such a great and integral part of my job search that I even have all of her contact information programmed into my cell phone. We had a great rapport and I felt like it was her personal mission to place me, which she did! That's the kind of attention I received, and I cannot recommend Six Degrees or Karen Brunner enough! If I have the need in the future, I would certainly go back to them again. Thank you, Karen! Thank you, Six Degrees! read more

Six Degrees is the creme de la creme when it comes to recruiting agencies! These women genuinely want you to be successful and happy where you land, so you won't find them forcing you to go on interviews that aren't the right fit for you - and no pressure to accept an offer that isn't exactly what you're looking for. They are sincere, friendly, and go above and beyond the rest. Immediately after losing my job last year, I decided to contact a few agencies to get back on my feet and hit the ground running to find a new position. I had worked with Karen Brunner on several occasions in years past, and I knew that she would send me to interview for great EA positions at top companies. She sure came through for me. Karen was very proactive with me and always got in touch with me right away when a position that fit my experience became available. She was patient, professional, and honest with her feedback. She kept in constant contact, and even followed up with me on evenings and weekends. Recently, I met with her colleague, Katy, and they ended up sending me to interview for an EA position at a great company here in SF. I just loved the environment, and thought it would be an ideal fit. I'm happy to say I received an offer, and started three weeks ago. So thankful for them! They made a very stressful and difficult time in my life bearable. I can't say enough good things about Six Degrees. I would and will recommend both of them to anyone who's looking for work. My dealings and experiences with Six Degrees Network have been first-rate. I rave about Karen and Victoria because they have been wonderful to work with. I first came to the firm by referral and met with Karen back in late 2008. She sent me out on interviews with several companies, even shortly after the big financial melt down which impressed me. Karen and Victoria always provided helpful information, tips and feedback during the entire interview process. Early 2009, I was offered a great position with an excellent and established company that came through Six Degrees. I made a very difficult decision to turn down the formal offer that came through Six Degrees to take a position (and later regret) that came to me outside the recruiters. Even after 4 months of time and hard work invested into me, Karen continued the relationship. She periodically made check-in calls. In May 2010, Karen advised me of a position they were trying to fill. It was an opportunity with a company that I did not want to miss and without hesitation asked if my name could be submitted. I made it through three very challenging interviews. Several weeks later, I received and accepted their offer. I LOVE my new job. Karen and Victoria are topnotch and the reasons for my 5 star rating. The two are true examples of the Six Degrees mission statement. Six Degrees has exceeded both my business and personal expectations. As their client, I hope that I've exceeded their expectations. read more

Karen Brunner is amazing! I had the pleasure of working with her recently and have nothing but positive things to say about her. Karen helped me through the entire process. Karen provided great prep sessions before interviews and she was great with following up after interviews. Ultimately, I ended up taking an offer from an opportunity that didn't come from Six Degrees, but my opinion of Karen and Six Degrees still remains top notch!!! read more

Before I met with Six Degrees, I hated recruiters the one I had before I never heard from again after I didn't get hired on at an Investment firm (which wasn't even the area I wanted to go into). Then I got the friendliest phone call from a recruiter named Suzy Ryan at Six Degrees. I agreed to meet with her simply by how friendly she was. To make a long story short, Suzy Ryan got me a job within days. After meeting with her I had an interview lined up the next day for a six month contract. Now my six months are up and I am currently interviewing for a full time position within the same company. Suzy Ryan is approachable and makes time for her clients; personally I find that to be a great quality in a recruiter. I recommend all my friends to her because it has been a great experience working with Six Degrees and Suzy. read more

This review is for Jen Slippy only. She is awesome. I was searching for finance jobs two years ago (pre-crisis...) and interacted with A LOT of headhunters. Jen was by far the most engaged and thoughtful - she sat down with me, discussed strengths and weaknesses in my profile, and came up with a list of potential roles that might be a good fit. Unlike other headhunters, she wasn't trying to just force me into a role for whatever openings she had. I interviewed with a great firm and got the job and lived happily ever after. Thanks Jen! read more

I have had a wonderful experience since working with 6 Degrees. My recruiter Katy has been extremely ambitious on getting me interviews with some very prestigious companies. In the course of 4 weeks I went to 4 interviews and returned for 2nd round interviews. Since graduating college last year I have been working with 7 different recruiting companies and 6 degrees has thus far been the most aggressive one, getting me in front of the companies that I want to work for. Katy is extremely professional, kind and really cares about her candidates. I would highly recommend this recruiting firm to anyone. Best of luck in your job search. read more

I recently worked with Suzy Ryan at Six Degrees and was very pleased with the experience. This was my first time working with a recruiter. I was fortunate enough to still be employed while looking for a new position and therefore felt I could be choosy and take my time finding the right job for me. I went for an initial meeting with Suzy and found her to be prompt, pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about the current situation with the job market. We had a good chat and Suzy honed in on exactly the type of work, firm and environment I was looking for. She didn't immediately have positions that fit my needs but said she would actively market me and we would stay in touch. Within two weeks she called me about a position that almost perfectly matched what I was looking for. She prepped me well for the interview and was invaluable in helping to negotiate my offer package. Suzy was available and ready to assist me at every step of the hiring process. I'm happy to say that i'm starting my new job next week. I am delighted with Suzy and Six Degrees and would recommend them highly! I have read a couple of than positive reviews for Suzy below and would like to caution others to make their own decisoins about this firm and Suzy. While reviews are helpful, we never reallly know the full story behind a negative review. I would hate to have someone miss a great opportunity because they believed a couple of negative reviews rather than checking out this firm on their own. read more

Karen, Jennifer and Katy are AMAZING. I had my resume spiffied up and had full mentoring from Karen before she sent me out for my interviews...two days later. YES! You heard me...two days later I scored an interview at a prestigious VC firm in the peninsula. After a few interviews later at some more financial firms, I had finally found my dream job and dream boss. Six Degrees is a life changer, a career builder and great source to find your dream job. I have nothing but positive things to say about this establishment. RUN don't walk to see their amazing team and what they have to offer. Two thumbs up, way up. read more

Six Degrees is as good as it gets. Karen Brunner and Jan Solomon are stellar recruiters. My experience with them has been nothing less than the pros that they are. Karen and Suzy from Six Degrees are the BEST. Even after I turned down a temp offer last year Karen kept in contact, and lucky for me that she did as I was not happy at my current company and I advised Karen that I wanted to search for something else and to please keep me in mind for any new opportunities. Within a few weeks she found something for me and was very instrumental in helping me to successfully have a job offer at a GREAT company ! I am so excited. I have had a lot of experience with recruiters, I was out of work for approx 5 months in 2009 and worked with quite a few recruiters. NONE were as great as Karen, she was genuinely interested in helping me secure a great job and proved that by providing useful advice and even helped me tweak my resume. She constantly kept in contact throughout this last interview process which was quite extensive and somewhat stressful. That stress was alleviated for me knowing that Karen genuinely cared. She proved that by her follow up and re-assurance which was very much appreciated. Karen and Suzy kept me in the loop throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend folks to seek them out , both employees searching for employment AND employers searching for great candidates. Six Degrees will ease your search whichever you are. read more
