Applying for jobs in this city can be quite the tedious task, so getting help from a recruiter is key. At least it was in my experience. I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Wunderland. Before I discovered them, I was officially burned out on bay area recruiting firms - both as a candidate seeking work... and as a bay area recruiter MYSELF. Then, Wunderland exceeded even my most idealistic views of what recruiting should be about. All too often, recruiters aren't hearing employer's more intricate talent requests. And candidates are being raced through the interview system - to meet weekly quotas - without any real attention being placed on their portfolio, qualifications, experience or desires. I was on assignment through one of these larger agencies a few months ago. I was miserable - not because of the role so much, but due to the way the agency managed its employees. I swore to never, ever use an agency again. It was nothing but trouble for someone with more than a couple years of work experience. That's when Natasha called. She told me why she was interested in my experience & asked me questions with genuine interest about my work and preferences. I waited for the call to be cut short as soon as she achieved her mission - but to my surprise, she wasn't in a hurry. And further to my surprise, I wasn't either. In fact, I found myself opening up more than usual, even. At the end of our discussion, she asked me to come in and meet with her in person so she could learn more about me, my work & share some current positions she thought I might be a good fit for. She even sent me some job descriptions that actually WERE strong potential fits for me. My god, she was actually LISTENING! When I met with her, I felt like I was meeting an old friend. Their office and interviewing style is comfortable, warm and direct. Greg joined us so he could see my portfolio & learn more about what my passions were. I had two interviews that week. The first was not a good cultural fit for me. And despite fears of being blacklisted from them as can happen with other agencies, I explained why I was hesitant to accept the offer. They both made note so they could be on better target for the next candidate they sent over to that client -- then set me up with an interview at another company I was very interested in learning more about. Once they offered me the position, Greg & Natasha's team took care of EVERYTHING. They automatically negotiated my ideal start date and target salary (which was higher than the company's original range). I was kept in the loop from start to finish - and was able to sign my employment offer remotely & email it in to complete the process. I have been working happily at my new role for the latter half of this year. And while Wunderland's process with me is technically done - they are no strangers. I still see them with follow up lunches & happy hours. And each time I arrive, they are genuinely happy to see me. And they both want to make extra sure I'm still happy at my job. I have continued to recommend Wunderland to friends, family & colleagues as they begin their job searches... and to employers as they seek talent. Their friendly, smart, custom approach to recruiting is a real rescue. It can be hard to snatch a job in this city - and even harder if you use the wrong recruiter. I have zero critical feedback for Angie and WunderLand. Angie had me going on interviews immediately with great clients. I can't say the same for the other recruiters I was working with. Her personal skills and insight create positive feelings going into the interview process. Angie has your best interests at heart, and she creates a collaborative environment for solving your job needs. Should I find myself in need of a recruiter, this is the place I am going to start. The Most Unprofessional agency I have ever worked with. I was contacted by Andrienne for an interview the following day at 11am. A phone interview. No call came, so I called her, maybe she thought I would call?, no answer, left message. I emailed, saying I'll be home all day, what happened. No reply. I emailed the next day and asked to please email to tell me if the job closed, or what happened. No reply. Incredibly UNPROFESSIONAL, to just not shoot an email saying, sorry the job has been filled, or whatever. Just Rude. read more

Cassie reached out to me about a Senior Designer position. At the time, I was used to working entry-level designer positions and while I appreciated her interest in my portfolio, I insisted that she send me only entry-level jobs. However, she put everything into perspective for me (I had been working in design for 4 years) and actively coached me during the entire interview process (a total of three interviews). Though it was my first senior position, ironically it was one of the easiest interview processes I had ever experienced. She was also very adamant about negotiating the pay she felt I deserve, which was honestly much higher than I had anticipated. During my entire contract-time with the company, Cassie remained consistent with her communication and seemed to genuinely look out for my best interest. The work experience has been great and very manageable; I've finally been offered a full-time position with the company! I can honestly say I wouldn't be here without Cassie's help.
