It is a family-owned business, so the guides are related. The pace was relaxed and comfortable. You are on the horse the whole time, but they give plenty of breaks for both the riders and the horses. Throughout the ride, the guides will share fun insights about the horses themselves, the local wildlife and plants, the ranch itself and of course the Grand Tetons. They welcome all skill levels - even total beginners like me. The guides take the time to teach you how to direct and handle your horse, and the horses are very well-behaved. They also keep the group small, which makes the experience feel much more personal. You'll see stunning views of the Hoback area, the Snake River Canyon, and the Teton Range. You'll ride to see a spectacular view of Bidger Teton National Park. The guide is so nice that he will take pictures of you on your horse with the scenic background. It is an unforgettable experience for me. Highly recommend them.

Just do it! First of all, this is seasonal. I believe the season starts in May through September, so we were very lucky to catch the end of the season. We met at the meeting point, got in their van and was drove to the boat launch (about 10 miles) and float back to the meeting point. Our River Guide was Neil. He was professional, funny and gave us interesting facts throughout the ride. He even pointed out eagle nests. Sadly, we didn't see any animals but that's okay because the view was just spectacular and breathtaking. We also got lucky with the weather. Blue sky in the 70s. It was a bit windy but the lifejacket kept us warm. Highly recommended and book it in advance!

Searching the web for information about cycling in the Grand Teton area, I found a blog post about…read morerenting bikes here and riding up to Jenny Lake (an excerpt of which is in Melissa Y's review). We'd hiked around the lake a few days earlier it seemed like a beautiful place for a ride. The guys were super friendly and it only took a few minutes to get a couple road bikes and fill the water bottles and we were off. The bikes were surprisingly good--I was expecting bikes that had been subjected to some abuse, in need of cleanup and repair, but they were both very clean, shifted smoothly, and rode like new. Even the cassette looked brand new. I noticed this as I was changing the flat we got two miles into the ride. Each bike had a spare tube and a hand pump, so I replaced the tube and tried to air it up. I thought maybe the hand pump was awful, but eventually I figured out that the spare tube was leaking too. It's possible I pinched it putting it on but I really don't think I did. I suspect someone had had a flat on the bike previously and they'd put the old tube back in the saddlebag (because that's the most convenient place to carry it) and didn't bother to tell anyone. We used the spare from the other bike and got back on our way. After a few more miles I noticed I was getting shorter as we rode: The clamp on the seatpost wasn't tight enough, so the seat was dropping along the way. The seatpost has a quick-release clamp so it was easy to remedy and didn't require any tools, but we had to pull off again for a minute. We rode up to Jenny Lake and on to String Lake before returning, for a total of about 26 miles. I considered deducting a star for the flat, the bad tube, and the loose seatpost clamp, but the ride was beautiful and we really enjoyed it even with the little surprises, and I'm not sure the flat tire is anyone's fault. When I told them we'd had a flat and they'd need to put another spare tube in the bag they apologized and gave us a substantial discount on the rentals. Super friendly. Great experience. If we make it back up to that area we'll definitely rent bikes here again.
