I have been back there 4 times to get a sub installed. There is no pride with the job. They are just 9-5 workers and don't care about the work they do. I'd be better off using a YouTube tutorial and doing it myself which is exactly what I'm going to be doing now. Stay far away from this business if you value any type of quality work. Would be 0 stars if possible. I paid them $100+ just to reconnect some wire and a cheap L bracket that I had to tighten once a week so the sub wouldn't bounce around in the trunk. read more

I bought a CarPlay kit from CarLinkLife that I thought I could install myself. It turned out to be more than I wanted to try. Their website listed Jack's Stereo as a verified installer. Since I live in North Austin, I wanted to confirm they could do it before driving an hour to their location. I texted some pictures of the kit to Brandon. He gave me a quote for installation and I scheduled a time to drop the vehicle off. Dropped it off and they called a couple hours later to say it was completed. When I arrived to get the car, Brandon was nice and walked me through the operation of the new CarPlay and answered some questions. They charged me exactly what he quoted. Jack's may be a little rough around the edges, but I think they were very reasonably priced and did a great job. If you want to add CarPlay to your vehicle, I recommend you do what I did. read more

Jack's employees at THIS LOCATION do NOT understand car audio. I spent $823 at their shop and at the end of the day I had MONO audio! I then tried to spend a good bit more for an upgrade and when I came to pick my car up, there was NO SOUND! I found out they miswired the amp and used factory speaker wires without knowledge of the wiring diagram. They ALSO bolted the first AND second amp to the HYBRID BATTERY on my car UNSAFE. I've been spending the last few days trying to get my car in order and TYLER LAW emails me telling me that he is going to press criminal charges unless I settle my account. Well, I'm settling my account by returning everything and demanding a full refund or going to court. PLEASE AVOID PLEASE AVOID!!! read more

I appreciate that type of customer focus. Now, in defense of the sub-par reviews I've read, we know that mobile audio is a touchy and subjective venture. Unless one is more than reasonable educated on the topic AND has $$$ to toss at their desires, shake, rattle, and roll dreams are often dashed. Do your research before seeking someone to lay hands on your ride/project. I say that due to reading the low reviews given, I figure something must've been horribly wrong on those transactions.
